RACE 1 – AGNES BANKS PERFORMANCE ASSESMENT PACE – 1609 metres
TILLY DEEVINNE – Raced roughly shortly after the start. Over raced and contacted the sulky of SENSES passing the 1400 metres and raced roughly momentarily. Became unbalanced and galloped approaching the 1250 metres for which the filly was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial.
SENSES – Pre-race blood sample. Raced roughly shortly after the start. Had its sulky contacted passing the 1400 metres when TILLY DEVINNE improved onto its back. Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 850 metres. Post-race swab sample.
RUBATEEKI – Checked passing the 1200 metres around the galloping TILLY DEEVINNE. Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1100 metres.
DYNAMITE DANNI – Checked around the galloping TILLY DEEVINNE passing the 1200 metres.
CAPTAIN BLUE CHIP – Trainer A Ruggari was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear form for the filly.
RACE 2 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres
MYSTERY LOVE – Pre-race blood sample. A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the mare having not competed in the previous 12 months. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.
HARD ROCK ANGEL – Post-race swab sample.
YOUR MAJESTY – Out of position at the start for which the filly will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Became unbalanced and galloped leaving the 200 metres for which a warning was issued. Due to the filly being fractious in the race day stabling area following the event the filly was treated and as a result was stood down from racing for a period of 6 days (NTC).
FONDA RHONDA – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the lead passing the 1000 metres. Will now be reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 3 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres
TUNBRIDGE – Became unbalanced and galloped and was out of position at the start and took no competitive part in the event for which a warning was issued.
PROHIBITED LOVE – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1250 metres. Raced roughly over the concluding stages whilst under pressure. Post-race swab sample.
AFFAIRE DE COVER – Pre-race blood sample.
SUPER SERVICE – Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.
RACE 4 – ALWAYS ALLCOT PACE – 1609 metres
FLY OVER STATES – Unable to secure clear running in the latter stages of the home straight.
MICKEY BE NIMBLE – Trainer K Towers was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare D Binskin as the driver by the prescribed time.
KING COREY – Pre-race blood sample.
CARRIBEAN RUNA – Post-race swab sample.
PLAYFUL MISS – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.
MICHAEL CAINE NZ – Will now be reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 5 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE PACE – 1609 metres
LONGTAN VIPER – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.
PLAY SOUTHERNLAND – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1150 metres.
BIRDY GAL – Pre-race blood sample.
DANCING WITH MY EX – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1150 metres. Driver P Green Jnr was fined $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) in that in the home straight on the final occasion he has applied his whip in more than a wrist only flicking motion on a number of occasions.
CONSIDER IT DONE – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight. Post-race swab sample.
IMA SWEET TORQUE NZ – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1200 metres. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
RACE 6 – AGT SLOTS LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres
BLISSES BEST – Driver K Morris pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that upon entry to the home straight she has allowed BLISSES BEST to shift wider whilst still having ZAHRA LOU racing to its outside and as a result raced inside that runners line and contacted that runners near side hind leg resulting in ZAHRA LOU being checked and paced rough for a short distance. Driver K Morris had her licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 7 days to commence midnight 6 August 2025. In assessing penalty, Stewards considered Driver K Morris’ record, circumstances of this incident and guilty plea.
FAY IRENE – Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1200 metres.
ZAHRA LOU – Had its off side sulky wheel contacted passing the 400 metres when DOLCE DRAMA hung in when trying to improve to its outside. As a result it carried a flat tyre for the remainder of the event. Checked and paced roughly shortly after entering the home straight on the final occasion when BLISSES BEST was shifted up the track to its inside without the required clearance.
DOLCE DRAMA – Hung in throughout the event and passing the 400 metres contacted the sulky wheel of ZAHRA LOU.
OUR FIRE AND DELIGHT NZ – Unable to secure clear running until passing the 200 metres. Post-race swab sample.
KATES VIRTUE – Improved three wide from the 1000 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 800 metres.
RACE 7 – PRYDE’S POWERPAK PACE – 1609 metres
CAPTAIN BART – Slow to score up.
LETS TURN IT ON – Stewards questioned Driver W Rixon in relation to the above market expectation performance of the horse ($17) when successful in today’s event. Mr Rixon explained he had been happy with the horse’s most recent form and stated he was not surprised by the horses performance in today’s event noting the race was run to suit his drive. Post-race swab sample.
TUAPEKA LOU NZ – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1050 metres. Driver J Grimson was fined $100 under Rule 170(2) in that over the final 300 metres he has allowed his body to protrude outside the confines of his sulky.
SOHO THE REAL DEAL – Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 8 – BE HAPPY MACH @ WINGATE FARM PACE – 1609 metres
MESSERATI – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight. Driver J Locke was fined $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) in that in the home straight he has applied his whip in more than a wrist flicking motion on a number of occasions. Stewards questioned Driver J Locke in relation to the above market expectation performance of the horse ($101) when successful in today’s event. Mr Locke explained in his opinion the form of his gelding had been good and stated that at its most recent run had been racing up in grade and only been beaten 7.3 metres. Mr Locke explained the run before at Wagga Harness Racing Club meeting on 11 July 2025 the gelding had been held up in the home straight and was unable to be fully tested. Mr Locke explained he was surprised by the starting price of MESSERATI considering its most recent runs. Post-race swab sample.
RAKADEAKS NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1150 metres.
ALTA SIERRA – Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up and was out of position at the start and took no competitive part in the event for which a warning was issued.
SIR CHOW NZ – Stewards questioned Driver W Rixon in relation to the performance of the gelding when being beaten 3.7 metres and finished in 4th position. Mr Rixon explained he had been happy with the way the gelding trialled leading into the event and was confident of a forward showing and noted he was frustrated with the fact the gelding appeared to switch off after obtaining the lead shortly after entering the home straight and noted he may reassess the way in which he drives the gelding in future starts. Stewards noted his comments.
