Ms Potter advised the gelding hung outwards throughout the event which was uncharacteristic for the gelding and was the main factor in CATIES SON performance. CLASSIC BEESMACK – ($16.00) Driver Mikayla Towers was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 5th position beaten 9.6m after leading from the 900m. Ms Towers attributed the performance to a combination of the gelding enduring more work than expected to obtain the lead approaching the 900m & the stable had increased the gelding’s trackwork which may have deflated CLASSIC BEESMACK as the gelding failed to travel as sufficiently compared to prior starts & Trainer Jackson Painting would now look to alter the gelding workload prior to starting again.

Mr Rixon added connections would now consider giving CINEMATIC a slight let up from racing.
IM ALRITE – Hung inwards passing the 300m simultaneously as TREACHEROUS BELLE shifted outwards marginally resulting in IM ALRITE contacting the sulky wheel of TREACHEROUS BELLE and break gait. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
AROMET GIRL – Over raced during the middle stages of the event.
SUPERSEDE NZ – ($34.00) Pre-race swab. Trainer Luke Mulley & Driver Jack Stockton were queried into the tactics adopted upon the gelding from the 1400m to 900m when racing three (3) wide and challenging for a forward position prior to being restrained to the rear of the field passing the 900m to finish in 8th position beaten 24.5m. Mr Mulley advised he instructed Mr Stockton to work forward from the start as he felt a number of runners were rising in grade and would seek obtaining a trail as he was confident of a forward performance from SUPERSEDE NZ as the gelding had worked well leading into todays event. Driver Jack Stockton confirmed the instructions and added when progressing forward passing the 1200m he was confident he would be able to obtain the position outside the leader as he felt AROMET GIRL would surrender that position after doing initial work during the early stages of the event. Mr Stockton explained he briefly challenged for the position outside the leader from the 1050m to approaching the 900m however when AROMET GIRL commenced to pull hard & its driver was unable to restrain and it was apparent the position would not be available therefore, he restrained SUPERSEDE NZ to the rear of the field. After viewing the available replays Stewards felt the pre-race tactics & overall tactics adopted were not unreasonable in the circumstances and noted the comments of both Trainer & Driver.
TREACHEROUS BELLE – Shifted outwards marginally as IM ALRITE hung inwards and contacted the sulky wheel of TREACHEROUS BELLE. Post-race swab.
RACE 8 – WAGGA TRADESMAN ACCOUNTING SERVICES PACE – 1740 metre

Ms Gusman advised the gelding was first up since 7th March 2025 and had only two (2) trials leading up to the event against lesser opposition combined with the quick final half of 54.1 seconds. Ms Gusman added HES CHARLIES ANGEL would derive benefit from the performance.
DIAMOND ECLIPSE – Post-race swab.
A LOT LIKE LOUIE – Pre-race swab.
