RACE 1 – STARZ GAME SHOW @ CLUB PACEWAY EVERY SAT PACE – 1720 metres

GREY CADILLAC – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines.  No abnormalities were detected.  Hung out after the start.  A warning was issued.  Racing between the 1100 metres and the 1000 metres laid in and contacted multiple marker pegs.  Driver K Morris explained that the gelding did not appreciate being inside other runners particularly with the slow tempo during the second quarter.  A warning was issued.

STARTIN TO GOGH – Shortly after the start was taken up the track by GREY CADILLAC which hung out.  Trainer/driver M Stanley explained that he was satisfied with the gelding’s performance given that STARTIN TO GOGH is only a three year old competing against the older horses.  He added that the last half mile was recorded in 56.3 seconds and his runner received pressure throughout.  M Stanley said that STARTIN TO GOGH is a versatile horse that races well when leading or with cover.  M Stanley’s comments were noted.

ROCKSIE ROCK – Shortly after the start was placed in restricted room when STARTIN TO GOGH was taken wider by GREY CADILLAC and subsequently ROCKSIE ROCK had to be checked away from FLO RYDA NZ which was racing to its outside. As a result, ROCKSIE ROCK lost ground and locked wheels with ZEN MASTER which was trailing.  The sulkies of both runners remained engaged sulkies for a significant distance. 

FLO RYDA NZ – Shortly after the start had to be taken wider to avoid ROCKSIE ROCK which was hampered. 

SOME CHEVRON NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  

ZEN MASTER – Shortly after the start locked wheels with ROCKSIE ROCK which had been checked and subsequently ZEN MASTER remained with an engaged sulky for a significant distance which in turn caused ZEN MASTER to lose significant ground.

MISTER QUIRK – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

 

RACE 2 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1720 metres

IDEAL REDEMPTION – Raced three wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader near the 1300 metres.

DESIDERIO – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

PRINCE LOUIE – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

 

RACE 3 – MAJOR OAK THEATRE RESTAURANT PACE – 1720 metres

SKY CITY NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

THERES WALLY – Raced roughly during the score up however was in position at the start.

THE DEVILS FLAME – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

 

RACE 4 – PENRITH MAZDA PACE – 2125 metres

ROCKNROLL GIG – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

D J ROCK NZ – Hung in when placed under pressure and passing the 300 metres contacted a marker peg.

NOTHINGBUTWAVES – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

RED SAPPHIRE – Raced three wide in the early stages before crossing to the position outside of the leader near the 1800 metres.  When questioned driver B Portelli explained that RED SAPPHIRE did not settle throughout the event and he attributed this to the use he made of the gelding after the start which caused him to over race slightly.  B Portelli added that he was not overly disappointed with the gelding’s performance, but in similar circumstances he may review his tactics in the immediate future.

RADIANT AMBER – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines.  No abnormalities were detected. 

GUEST ARTIST NZ – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines.  No abnormalities were detected.

 

RACE 5 – PENRITH SHOW TICKETS ON SALE NOW PACE – 1720 metres

LORD MEMNOCK – Had difficulty securing clear running until passing the 50 metres when the gelding improved to the inside of GIVE ME A MINUTE NZ.

GIVE ME A MINUTE NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

ITZMINEONTHELINE – Caught wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field.  Held up for clear running in the latter stages of the home straight and was not fully tested.

KING TIGER – Unable to secure clear running at any stage in the home straight and was not fully tested.

 

RACE 6 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1720 metres

SNOW HUNTER – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

HEAVENLY REASON – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

WEAREALLALONE – Gave ground over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.  Trainer D McDowell explained that the mare would be sent for a spell with the consideration that WEAREALLALONE maybe retired from racing.

MIZZZ ADELE – Caught wide in the early stages before restraining and obtaining a position in the running line near the 1200 metres.  Unable to secure clear running until passing the 100 metres at which point MIZZZ ADELE shifted out to improve to the outside of CRUSADER MISS.

 

RACE 7 – WWW.123TIX.COM.AU PACE – 2125 metres

ROCK ASSET – Approaching the 400 metres became unbalanced and broke gait when steadying away from DELIGHTFULLY SWEET which had improved to its inside.  A warning was issued.

MIGHT AND VICTORY – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

FOR THREE REASONS – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  

DELIGHTFULLY SWEET – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

GOODTIME MIKI – Raced three wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader near the 1700 metres.

DOUGS TRIBE – Passing the 200 metres raced roughly and broke gait for a short distance.  A warning was issued.

DYNAMITES BEST – Leaving the 900 metres commenced to give ground and tired significantly over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed DYNAMITES BEST was suffering from atrial fibrillation.  Acting under rule 101C(2)(a) connections were advised that DYNAMITES BEST will be stood down for a period 14 days and a veterinary certificate inclusive of a full ECG would be required.  Furthermore, DYNAMITES BEST must complete one satisfactory official trial.

TOMMYS LUCK – Leaving the 900 metres was held up and checked behind DYNAMITES BEST which was giving ground.  TOMMYS LUCK was unable to improve its position until passing the 700 metres.

 

RACE 8 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 2125 metres

LADY DELORIS – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS – Raced three wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader near the 1600 metres.

LANI KAI BEACH – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines.  No abnormalities were detected.

THE MALDIVES – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines.  No abnormalities were detected.

CLEMENTSORRELL – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines.  No abnormalities were detected.

 

RACE 9 – PENRITH CITY COUNCIL PACE – 1720 metres

MISS ALOHA – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

HEAVEN FAST – Broke gait at the start.  Connections were advised that HEAVEN FAST would now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

CHARJO – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines as the colt was having its first race start since 27 March 2024.  No abnormalities were detected.

PETES CAPTAINSSTAR – Passing the 1600 metres had to be steadied away from HEAVEN FAST which had broken gait.  Leaving the 600 metres was inclined to race roughly and gave ground.  A warning was issued for what was deemed to be an unsatisfactory performance.
