RACE 1 – STUART VALENTINE BLOODSTOCK INSURANCE PACE – 2260 metres

REASON TO PARTY – Checked and raced roughly passing the 300m when YA RACIN ARLO shifted outwards.

YA RACIN ARLO – Driver Tom Pay pleaded guilty to a charge under AHR Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) passing the 300m he permitted YA RACIN ARLO to shift outwards when insufficiently clear of REASON TO PARTY resulting in that runner being checked & race roughly & checking RIVIERE. In assessing penalty Stewards considered the HRNSW Penalty Guidelines, placing weight on Mr Pay’s guilty plea & his prior offence record under this rule with his last offence (May 2021 349 drives). Mr Pay was suspended for a period of seven (7) days commencing midnight 8th August 2025.

EVELYNS DRAGON – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

RIVIERE – Inconvenienced passing the 300m when YA RACIN ARLO shifted outwards checking REASON TO PARTY.

GABBYS SPORTSTAR – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.  

RACE 2 – THE CATTLEWASH BACK STRAIGHT PACE – 1730 metres

LETTYS REASON – ($10.00) Pre-race swab. Trainer/driver Amanda Turnbull was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the gelding which yielded ground rapidly from the 600m to finish in 10th and last position beaten 91.4m after racing three (3) back along the marker line. Ms Turnbull advised the gelding to be extremely disappointing and was at a loss to explain the performance other than the gelding to possibly have an underlying issue. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding displaying a slow post-race recovery. LETTYS REASON will now be stood down from racing until trailing to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion.

OUR GEORGE BOSTON – ($2.25Fav) Driver Jett Turnbull was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 9th position beaten 16.7m after racing outside the leader from the 1300m. Mr Turnbull attributed the performance to the gelding pulling hard during the early & middle stages of the event and the overall quick mile rate 1.55.0 when racing outside the leader.

BAXTER RED – Post-race swab.

HES CHIMING – Checked and taken back thought the field passing the 600m when LETTYS REASON yielded ground. Held up and failed to gain clear run for the entire length of the home straight. Post-race swab. Claimed by Amy Rees of Bathurst.

RACE 3 – SUCCESS STUD WESTERN DISTRCITS OAKS 13 AUGUST LADYSHIP PACE – 1730 metres

OUR ULTIMATE BONNY – Pre-race swab.

JEWEL HEAVEN – Tired from the 400m to finish in 9th position beaten 60.6m. Stewards refrained taking any action against the filly beaten margin due to the winning margin of 25m between first & second.

GURANTEED END – Raced roughly passing the 300m. Post-race swab.

MIA ON – Inconvenienced passing the 500m when POLKA DELIGHT NZ commence to yield ground.

TIME TO TORQUE – Held up during the early stages of the home turn prior obtaining clear running along the sprint lane.

POLKA DELIGHT NZ – ($19.00) Driver Robert Morris was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the mare which finished in 10th and last position beaten 61.7m. Mr Morris attributed the performance to POLKA DELIGHT NZ having to be  exert during the early stages of the score up to  for fill its allocated position after being slow to score up when leaving the pre-race circle which was the main factor in the mare yielding ground. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards refrained taking any action against the mare’s beaten margin due to the winning margin of 25m between first & second.

RACE 4– BETTORS WISH STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE PACE – 1730 metres

LEXY – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

BACKWARDS FIRST – ($23.00) Driver Harrison Ross was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 10th and last position beaten 28.8m after racing outside the leader throughout the event. Mr Ross attributed the performance to the mare pulling hard throughout the event combined racing outside the leader in an overall quick mile rate 1.54.9. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 5 – HYNASH WESTERN DISTRICTS DERBY 13 AUGUST PACE – 1730 metres

TUAPEKA LOU NZ – Post-race swab.

A TRUE LOVE – Pre-race swab.

THE SWIFT ONE – ($6.00) Driver Amanda Turnbull was queried into the overall performance of the filly which finished in 9th position beaten 29m. Ms Turnbull advised she was satisfied with the performance as the filly was unable to progress into the event after settling back in the race in a one out four back position in the running line combined with the quick final half of 56 seconds. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. 

THREE RIVERS NZ – Post-race swab. Claimed by Andrew Ison of Warral.

MISTERFOURTHOUSAND – Pulled hard during the score up.

DRIVE TO THE BEACH – Raced roughly momentarily approaching the 200m when attempting to be directed away from the marker line.

RACE 6 – BARKERS BUTCHERY MEAT RAFFLE ON TONIGHT PACE – 2260 metres

HUNTER SHANNON – Pre-race swab.

PAS DE CHEVAL – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

JUNGLE DRAGON – Post-race swab.

WINDY HILL TARA – ($8.50) Trainer Steve Turnbull was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 9th position beaten 23.6m. Mr Turnbull advised he was satisfied with the performance as the mare was caught racing without cover more majority of the event in a quick final half of 56.2 seconds and overall mile rate of 1.57.0 for the longer distance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

CASSIUS DECK – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

RACE 7 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 2260 metres

BETTOR BRILLIANCE – Began badly as the start was effected. A warning was issued against BETTOR BRILLIANCE barrier manners.

TULHURST PARTYGIRL – Pre-race swab.

LEXY LONGSTOCKINGS – Post-race swab.

RACE 8 – NUTRIEN GOLD CROWN SALE GRADUATE HEAT 1 – 1730 metres

CHEVAL TIGER – Post-race swab.

INTHESWINGOFTHINGS – Pre-race swab. Broke gait shortly after the start was effected. A warning was issued against INTHESWINGOFTHINGS barrier manners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly displaying a slow post-race recovery.

CRAZUKA – Hung inwards during the score up and was out of position when the start was effected. CRAZUKA will now be placed on its last chance in the draw. Hung inwards despite the driver’s efforts from the 800m onwards prior to yielding ground to finish in 6th & last position beaten 76.7m. CRAZUKA will now be paced on its last chance to race truly.

KRUSTY KRUNCH – Trainer KerryAnn Morris was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 210 for late declaration of Robert Morris of the driver upon the filly. Broke gait free of interference passing the 1400m. KRUSTY KRUNCH will now be stood down from racing until trailing to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion.

WORTH EVERY CENT – Raced greenly & hung outwards throughout the event despite the driver’s efforts. Hung outwards passing the 600m when leading allowing sufficient room for CHEVAL TIGER to progress through to its inside. Driver Will Rixon advised it would be the stable’s intentions to undertake gear alteration upon the filly prior to starting again. WORTH EVERY CENT will now be placed on its last chance to race truly.

RACE 9 – NUTRIEN GOLD CROWN SALE GRADUATE HEAT 2 – 1730 metres

AUGUST STAR – Pre-race swab

LUCKY BAMBINO – Post-race swab.

HASHTAG HECTOR – Raced roughly passing the 500m.

THE ATTRACTOR – ($5.00) Driver Tayla Osmond was queried into the overall performance of the filly which finished in 4th position beaten 16.5m. Ms Osmond advised the filly to be disappointing and was at a loss to explain the performance.
