RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1980 metres.
JACKYS MARIA – Post race swab sample.
HEAVENLY TURBO – Prerace blood sample.
NEED SOME AIR – Was crowded and had to be steadied momentarily entering the home straight on the first occasion when racing inside SPOOKY ART which shifted in when not quite clear. Subsequently P Grima, the driver of SPOOKY ART was reprimanded (AR163(1)(a)(iii)).
WHAT AGAIN SHANNON – Weakened noticeably inside the 600m and tailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality. Trainer MR J Enks said that the gelding would be spelled. Notwithstanding this advice, connection were told that a poor performance warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.
RACE 2 – MULTIQUIP HATCHERY EQUIPMENT PACE – 1609 metres
TERROR FLYING – Post race swab sample.
RUM DELIGHT NZ – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examination.
YOGI – Prerace blood sample.
RACE 3 – THE PUB – DRIVE OF THE DAY PACE – 1609 METRES
SLINGSHOT – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examination.
MONTANA NIGHTS – Fractious and broke stride during the score up. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings racing record.
SILENT REACTION – Prerace blood sample. Pulled hard during the early and middle stages and could not be properly restrained.
ROLAMAX – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examination.
IAMNOPET – Experienced difficulty obtaining completely clear running in the home straight and could not be driven with full vigour.
BRING YOUR BEST – Post race swab sample.
MIDAS SHANNON – Post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had sustained a mild abrasion to its off-hind heel.
BARRYS BROTHER – Following required satisfactory performance, connections were advised the gelding is now eligible to be placed in the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 4 – TMFM95.5 AFTERNOONS WITH DAN SAUNDERS PACE – 1609 metres
THOMAS ROYAL – Post race swab sample.
CLASSIC ARC – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examination. Driver T Ison was cautioned in relation to the manner he applied the whip inside the 150m.
MAC STUBBORN – Trainer / Driver Mr A Varga was cautioned in relation to the manner he applied the whip in the home straight.
ANTETOKOUNMPO – Prerace blood sample. Was held up and unable to obtain clear running at any stage in the home straight and ran to the finish without being tested.
RACE 5 – JOHNS AUTO SERVICE LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres
LOOKAT MEE – Galloped away when the start was effected. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record.
SEE THE DREAM – Hung out for some distance inside the 500m. When questioned in relation to her driving rounding the home turn, G Panella explained that due to the difficulty she had experienced during the race she was reluctant to be aggressive with her correction rounding the home turn which resulted in it shifting wider in the early part of the home which allowed clear running for FIESTY TIGER to improve into. Ms Panella conceded that with the benefit of hindsight she should have been more proactive in her endeavour to maintain a true line at that stage of the race.
WHENS LUNCH – Post race swab sample.
MISS OUT – When questioned in relation to the tactics adopted in the early and middle stages, driver M Ison explained that she intended to be as forward as possible despite her wide draw. She said that after the start she was able to obtain a position trailing the eventual winner, WHENS LUNCH and when it took a position in the running line, she intended to cross it and race outside the lead. she stated that her drive was unable to muster sufficient speed to achieve this as WHENS LUNCH could not be sufficiently restrained by its driver and she was obliged to cease her challenge and restrain to the tail of the field with a lap remaining.
ROCKINDOWNUNDER –
KATASTROPHEE – Held up and unable to obtain clear running inside the 150m.
DOUGS RULES – Prerace blood sample. Had to be checked, then broke stride shortly after the start when attempting to avoid LOOK AT MEE.
DRAKAINA – Was unable to obtain completely clear running at any stage in the home straight and went to the finish without being tested.
RACE 6 – FILLIES N COLTS CAFÉ – RINGERS RD PACE – 1980 metres
ULTIMATE EMPIRE – Prerace blood sample. Post race swab sample.
EIFFEL FROM HEAVEN – Was hampered and had to be steadied for some distance before being shifted wider, when racing behind JOE BY THE SEASIDE (NZ) inside the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.
JOE BY THE SEASIDE NZ – Was hampered and had to be steadied for some distance inside the 600m, when racing behind MY ROCK MOVES, which was weakening.
KEILOR BABY SHARK – broke stride in the early part of the score up, then suffered a gear malfunction when a steering device became entangled in the rings resulting in it becoming difficult to drive and driver G Panella indication her disadvantage which caused a false start to be declared. Ms Panella was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record.
RACE 7 – M & M OFFICE NATIONAL APPRECIATION PACE – 1609 metres
RENROW LAD – Prerace blood sample.
HE SAID SHE SAID – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examination.
LUCKY BEACH BOY – Was unable to obtain clear running at any stage inside the 200m and went to the finish without being tested.
ELOUISA DALE NZ – Broke stride free of any external factors shortly after the start and galloped for a short distance. Trainer / Driver Ms G Panella was advised that the mare would now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.
ALLSOPP – Post race swab sample.
RACE 8 – HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLOSSOM & LITTLE EM PACE – 1980 metres
GROSSO NASO – Prerace blood sample. Post race swab sample.
PARATROUPER – Pulled hard during the early and middle stages.
RICK REILLY NZ – Driver B Elder was fined $50 (AR162(1)(h)), for failing to drive into position at the start.
ROCK FISHERMAN – was held up for some distance in the early part of the home straight.
