RACE 1 – HILLTOPS EQUINE CENTRE PACE – 1720 metres

 

ONE STUNIN MELODY – Driver G Hoy who could not fulfil his commitment to drive the mare, was advised that he would be required to provide a medical certificate of fitness prior to his next race drive.

INGERMARLA – Inconvenienced behind the tiring KOZACZYNSKI near the 400 metres, as a result STELLA MACH contacted its sulky wheel where it sustained a flat tyre.

THATS THE ATTITUDE – Post-race swab sampled.

KOZACZYNSKI – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

LETSTACOBOUTIT – Broke gait during the score-up and was out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued.

STELLA MACH – Inconvenienced approaching the 1200 metres when the pace eased. Inconvenienced behind INGERMARLA near the 400 metres and contacted that runner’s sulky wheel.

REDBANK HARRY – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it is 13 years old and it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start. Driver B Jones was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(b)(i), for forcing another runner wider on the track prior to the point where permitted to do so, in that near the 600 metres he shifted his runner out, when not sufficiently clear of TUKURUA which was forced wider on the track.

TUKURUA – Inconvenienced approaching the 1200 metres when the pace eased. Over-raced during the middle stages of the event. Forced wider near the 600 metres when REDBANK HARRY shifted-out.

SHAKEN SANDS – Pre-race swab sampled. Inconvenienced approaching the 1200 metres when the pace eased.

 

RACE 2 – POPPAS FUDGE FACTORY PACE – 1720 metres

 

LOYOLA GOLF – Sulky wheel contacted by OUR DICKIE BART entering the first turn. Post-race swab sampled.

OUR DICKIE BART – Contacted the sulky wheel of LOYOLA GOLF entering the first turn and was checked and raced roughly. At a subsequent inquiry, Driver N Hurst was found guilty of a charge under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that entering the first turn he shifted his runner in when not clear of LOYOLA GOLF contacted that runners sulky wheel and raced roughly, as a result PENCIL ME IN, CAPITALLEE, HARVEY HUGHES NZ and JAMBEROO ARK were checked and broke, and SHEZA BETTOR GEM, ALIGHIERI and LINE ME UP BRO NZ were checked. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account N Hurst’s driving record with regards to this rule and the circumstances of the incident, in particular that there was interference suffered to most of the field as a result of the incident. Driver N Hurst had his license to drive in races suspended for a period of 21 days to commence at midnight the 22^nd of August. Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

PENCIL ME IN – Checked and broke gait entering the first turn when OUR DICKIE BART contacted the sulky wheel of LOYOLA GOLF and raced roughly.

CAPITALLEE – Checked and broke gait entering the first turn when OUR DICKIE BART contacted the sulky wheel of LOYOLA GOLF and raced roughly.

SHEZA BETTOR GEM – Galloped out at the start for which a warning was issued. Checked entering the first turn when OUR DICKIE BART contacted the sulky wheel of LOYOLA GOLF and raced roughly.

TIGERS SPIRIT – Checked entering the first turn when OUR DICKIE BART contacted the sulky wheel of LOYOLA GOLF and raced roughly.

HARVEY HUGHES NZ – Checked and broke gait entering the first turn when OUR DICKIE BART contacted the sulky wheel of LOYOLA GOLF and raced roughly. Broke gait free of interference near the 200 metres, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be stood down from racing for a period of 14 days and would be required to perform 2 re-qualifying trials.

ALIGHIERI – Checked rounding the first turn when OUR DICKIE BART contacted the sulky wheel of LOYOLA GOLF and raced roughly.

LINE ME UP BRO NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Checked rounding the first turn when OUR DICKIE BART contacted the sulky wheel of LOYOLA GOLF and raced roughly.

JAMBEROO ARK – Checked and broke gait entering the first turn when OUR DICKIE BART contacted the sulky wheel of LOYOLA GOLF and raced roughly.

 

RACE 3 – QUAYLE MILLING PACE – 1720 metres

 

ALWAYSATTHEBEACH – Pre-race swab sampled.

CARMEN ON BLING – Inconvenienced leaving the 600 metres when FULL OF SPICE broke gait.

FULL OF SPICE – Contacted the sulky wheel of ROLL TO THE TOP leaving the 600 metres  and broke gait. As there appeared to be very little movement from either runner to cause the contact, no action was taken.

ROLL TO THE TOP – Sulky wheel contacted by FULL OF SPICE leaving the 600 metres. Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 4 – YOUNG SERVICES CLUB PACE – 1720 metres

 

CAMANCHI WARRIOR – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event. Post-race swab sampled.

IM BELIEBER – Broke gait after the start for which a warning was issued.

EYEDIDNTLOSEIT – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

GABBYS SPORTSTAR – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start. Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

A LIL BIT OF LOVE – Inconvenienced after the start when IM BELIEBER broke gait.

ALABAMA LIONESS – Pre-race swab sampled. Inclined to hang-in rounding the turns.

 

RACE 5 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1720 metres

 

MACHX THE STRANGER – Broke gait during the score-up and a false start was declared, for which a warning was issued.

LA FEAST – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight, for which a warning was issued.

DOLLAR BROWNIE – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

MILLYANO – Hung-out and raced roughly entering the first turn when being restrained when DOLLAR BROWNIE shifted down the track.

 

RACE 6 – YOUNG CELLARS PACE – 1720 metres

 

HILLVIEW SAM – Broke gait during the score-up, for which a warning was issued.

PADDY MACH – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it is 12 years old and it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.

OURMATE GEEJAY – Fractious during the early part of the score-up.

THE RINGMASTER – Post-race swab sampled.

JEREMY LOU – Pre-race swab sampled.

GIRLS VIEW – Placed back in the draw for future mobile start races.

 

RACE 7 – DONGES IGA 2YO MAIDEN PACE – 1720 metres

 

CAPTAIN PINNACLE – Post-race swab sampled.

STRAIGHTNNARROW – Pre-race swab sampled. Tired over the concluding stages of the event.

LILLY ANNE – Raced roughly near the 600 metres.

ATWORTHY ROCKER – Galloped out at the start, given it was just the filly’s third race start, connections were advised that he would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races. Hung-in and contacted marker pegs rounding the first turn.

ROMEGHAN – Hung-out leaving the 1000 metres.

 

RACE 8 – T & D PRODUCE MAIDEN PACE – 1720 metres

 

FIRST FOUR LETTERS – Broke gait after the start, given the mare’s record connections were advised that she would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races. Veered-out while galloping and was retired from the event, connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

BELLE OF BELMONT NZ – Inconvenienced after the start when FIRST FOUR LETTERS broke gait.

SHEZALEGACY – Post-race swab sampled.

ROCKNROLL BLING – Inconvenienced after the start when FIRST FOUR LETTERS broke gait.

VERY BOUTIQUE – Pre-race swab sampled. Checked after the start when FIRST FOUR LETTERS broke gait, as a result raced roughly entering the first turn.

 

RACE 9 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1720 metres

 

BURRABADINE DANCER – Pre-race swab sampled. Contacted the sulky wheel of SUNNYWITHACHANCE entering the first turn, when that runner shifted-in, and was checked and broke gait.

TINNYSMEDAD – Inconvenienced entering the first turn when BURRABADINE DANCER broke gait.

SUNNYWITHACHANCE – Sulky wheel contacted by BURRABADINE DANCER entering the first turn.  At a subsequent inquiry Driver M Johnson was found guilty of a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that entering the first turn he shifted his runner in when not clear of BURRABADINE DANCER, which was tightened for room, contacted his sulky wheel and was checked and broke gait, as a result SOMEBODYS GIRL was checked and broke, GIRL JUST FLY was checked and raced roughly, I LIKA STYLE was checked, and TINNYSMEDAD, MITTYS THREE ACES NZ and ROSE OF JULIANA were inconvenienced.  In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account M Johnson’s driving record with regards to this rule and the particular circumstances of the incident, in particular that there was interference suffered to many runners as a result of the incident. Driver M Johnson had his license to drive in races suspended for a period of 21 days.

MOST CERTAIN MICKY – Post-race swab sampled.

MITTYS THREE ACES NZ – Trainer W Judd was fined $50 under Rule 210 for not declaring a Driver for the gelding by the required time. Inconvenienced entering the first turn when BURRABADINE DANCER broke gait.

SOMEBODYS GIRL – Checked and broke gait entering the first turn when BURRABADINE DANCER broke gait.

GIRL JUST FLY – Checked and raced roughly entering the first turn when BURRABADINE DANCER broke gait.
