GENERAL:

Due to significant rainfall in the preceding 24 hours a track inspection was conducted and the mobile barrier was tested at approximately 12.30pm. The track was passed suitable for racing. Stewards subsequently ordered mudguards to be fitted to all sulkies.

 

RACE 1 – CHRISITIE LAMB @ PENRITH SHOW SAT NIGHT PACE – 1720 metres

WOODLEA BEAVER NZ – Post-race swab sample.

A VAPAR STORM – Shifted out under pressure inside the final 150 metres. 

DILETTO – Pre-race blood sample.

STELLINA – Pre-race warm up.

 

RACE 2 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1720 metres

PELIGROSO – Pre-race blood sample. Driver Zara Fitzpatrick was reprimanded under Rule 162(1)(www)(a) in that shortly after straightening she permitted PELIGROSO to shift out resulting in SHARK DANCER, which was attempting to improve to her outside, being inconvenienced and shifting out slightly resulting in AMERICAN WEREWOLF also being inconvenienced. In not taking more severe action against Ms Fitzpatrick Stewards were mindful SHARK DANCER had not fully established a position to her outside however advised she must take greater action to prevent a reoccurrence. Post-race swab sample.

AMERICAN WEREWOLF – Inconvenienced approaching the 100 metres when SHARK DANCER shifted out.

SHARK DANCER – Held up rounding the home turn and the early part of the home straight. Driver Sebastian Piltz was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that shortly after passing the 150 metres he permitted SHARK DANCER to shift out resulting in AMERICAN WEREWOLF being inconvenienced. In not taking more severe action against Mr Piltz, Stewards were mindful PELIGROSO shifting ground in advance of SHARK DANCER which contributed to this incident.

GREY CADILLAC – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.

 

RACE 3 – PENRITH SHOW TICKETS ON SALE NOW PACE – 1720 metres

The start of this event was delayed due to a gear adjustment being required on FULLOFFIGHT NZ.

OUR ULTIMATE LAYLA – Declared a late scratching at 3.40pm acting on veterinary advice.

LENNETH – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

JAKCAM FLYER – Broke clear of interference shortly after passing the 1600 metres. A warning was issued. Held up inside the final 200 metres.

 

RACE 4 – FATHERS DAY LUNCH @ CLUB PACEWAY PACE – 2125 metres

PETES CRUNCH TIME – Post-race swab sample.

MISTER QUIRK – Pre-race blood sample.

ZEN MASTER – Over raced during the middle stages.

 

RACE 5 – PENRITH PARTY HIRE PACE – 1720 metres

MARATHON MAN NZ – Post-race swab sample.

PORT AU PRINCE NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 6 – GRAVITY FMX @ PENRITH SHOW PACE – 1720 metres

IMA SHINKANSEN – Post-race swab sample.

MIGHT AND VICTORY – Pre-race blood sample. Presented on course with accordance with the HRNSW Elevated TCO2 Policy. Shifted out under pressure inside the final 150 metres.

DOUGS TRIBE – Pre-race blood sample.

HONOLULU PRINCESS – Commenced to hang in and pace roughly passing the 400 metres before breaking a short distance later when in restricted room between FARFELLA STRIDE and DOUGS TRIBE. In view of the circumstances, no action was taken. A post-race veterinary examination of HONOLULU PRINCESS revealed the filly to have sustained an injury to the offside eye. Due to receiving veterinary treatment HONOLULU PRINCESS will now be stood down from racing for a period of 7 days.

 

RACE 7 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1720 metres

BETTING ON COURAGE – Pre-race blood sample. Driver Jake Bigeni was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that shortly after passing the 150 metres he permitted BETTING ON COURAGE to shift out resulting in ARMA THE GREAT being inconvenienced momentarily.

FOR THREE REASONS – Checked passing the 400 metres when ROCK ASSET broke gait.

ARMA THE GREAT – Inconvenienced passing the 150 metres when BETTING ON COURAGE shifted out.

CELEBRITY PRINCESS – Checked passing the 400 metres when ROCK ASSET broke gait.

ROCK ASSET – Broke clear of interference passing the 400 metres checking FOR THREE REASONS, CELEBRITY PRINCESS and IMA SWEET TORQUE NZ. In view of the recent record of ROCK ASSET the mare will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards.

INSIDE MAGIC – Driver Robert Morris was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(j) in that he failed to maintain his position until the start was effected. Shifted out under pressure inside the final 150 metres.

RUDIMENTARY – Post-race swab sample.

IMA SWEET TORQUE NZ – Checked passing the 1200 metres when ROCK ASSET broke gait.

 

RACE 8 – COWGIRLS WITH WINGS @ PENRITH SHOW PACE – 1720 metres

DECIPHER – Post-race swab sample.

THE MALDIVES – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races and being over the age of 12 years. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.

MIZZZ ADELE – Pre-race blood sample.
