RACE 1 – BARASTOC PACE – 1609 metres

KARAOKE KING – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

SYLVIA KAY NZ – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

NEXT TO ME NZ – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

BEANCOUNTER – Fractious in the early stages of the score up.  A warning was issued.  Had a tendency to hang out whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.

 

RACE 2 – COCA COLA PACE – 2030 metres

JEFFCOATE – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

MISTER POVERTY – Pre-race sample was taken. 

SOME CHEVRON NZ – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.  Post-race sample was taken.  Successfully claimed.

DUTY OF CARE – Post-race sample was taken.

BAT MATSON – Pre-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 3 – GLOBAL BRANDS LIQUOR PACE – 1609 metres

FLARE UP – Pre-race sample was taken. 

ALWAYS BE CHAPS – Post-race sample was taken.

ONEHANDONEBOUNCE – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.  Driver G Panella explained to Stewards that had to make a wide run rounding the final turn and failed to run on over the concluding stages.

 

RACE 4 – SLICK CHICKS PACE – 1609 metres

ROCTAGONAL – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

LITTLE DEMON – Pre-race sample was taken. 

LUKE JOHN NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

COOL NIGHT – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

 

RACE 5 – PFD FOOD SERVICE PACE – 1609 metres

BLAZING TART NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. 

ONETANGI GIRL NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.

SWEET ROCKY – Post-race sample was taken.

IRE OF THE DRAGON – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

 

RACE 6 – TOOHEYS THREE YEAR OLD PACE – 2030 metres

ROOBEE – Gave ground and weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  A warning was issued.

SYNCOPATED SHUFFLE – Gave ground over the concluding stages and was beaten some distance.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.  Driver C Formosa explained that made a forward move in the event to race outside of the leader and given the quick last half failed to run on and was somewhat disappointing.  She further added that the soft track conditions may have contributed in addition to the amount of work she had to do to find the position outside of the leader.  Stewards issued a warning against the performance.

RIVERA LOU – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

WHENS LUNCH – Hampered racing down the back straight on the final occasion when trailing weakening runners.

ERROL FIN – Hampered racing down the back straight on the final occasion when trailing weakening runners.  Broke stride as the field negotiated the final turn.  Connections were advised it will be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

 

RACE 7 – GARRARDS HORS AND HOUND PACE – 2030 metres

YOU ARE MY WISH – Pre-race sample was taken. 

BLAZIN CHIMES – Driver G Panella was reprimanded under rule 162(1)(www)(ii) in that when driving out over the concluding stages allowed her runner to shift wider on the track which hampered the running of LUCKY RICTOR which in turn hampered the running of MISTER BRILLANTE.  Post-race sample was taken.

LUCKY RICTOR – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

MISTER BRILLANTE – Hampered as the field approached the 100 metres.

SUMMER ROCKSTAR – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event and gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

TWO TICKS NZ – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

 

RACE 8 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES TWO YEAR OLD PACE – 1609 metres

LOCHINVAR MARCELLO – Had a tendency to hang out shortly after the start was affected and then momentarily shortly after the field entered the home straight for the run to the finish.

THE EYE IN THE SKY – Pre-race sample was taken.

LETS N JOY NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

FAVOURED GRACE – Had a tendency t hang out whilst under pressure over the concluding stages after finding the front and then raced somewhat ungenerously.  A warning was issued.

 

RACE 9 – THE TAB APP PACE – 2030 metres

TOUGH TALKS – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

HIDDEN DELIGHT NZ – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance over the final 600 metres.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.  Trainer M Callaghan advised that the soft track conditions may not have suited.  Connections were advised that given the beaten margin that it will be stood down until it can complete one requalifying trial.

ROCKINDOWNUNDER – Hampered as the field raced down the back straight when trailing weakening runners.

GROSESTAR – Hampered when racing down the back straight on the final occasion when trailing weakening runners.

SHIRALEE – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

WALLAROY BOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
