RACE 1 – MENANGLE PARK GLENLEE COMMUNITY TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres
NOTHING I WANT – Galloped out and trailed the field for the entire. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of the mare.
IN REDWHITEANDBLUE – Pre-race sample. Trotted roughly under pressure over the final 400m.
DONNIE GAL – Post-race sample.
ITS ALL RIGHT NOW – Galloped out and trailed the field for the entire. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of the filly.
MARIA THERESA NZ – Inconvenienced in the home straight on the final occasion when YOUR MAJESTY galloped. A short time later galloped free of interference and in assessing the previous racing manners of the mare, connections were advised MARIA THERESA NZ would be stood down for two trials and a period of 10 days. Re-included back in the mobile barrier draw.
YOUR MAJESTY – Out of position in the score up and at the start, will continue to be placed outside of the mobile barrier draw. Galloped free of interference in the home straight on the final occasion and a warning was issued.
RACE 2 – CONFEDERATE STANDING AT COBBITTY QUINE FARM TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres
RIOTERRA – Pre-race sample. Gave ground to be beaten 32m into 8th position. Driver S Morris was at a loss to explain the performance and added that connections were disappointed with the performance of the gelding. Mrs Morris added that RIOTERRA was first up for new connections and may benefit from future racing within the stable going forward in the preparation. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
BURKHARDT NZ – Trotted roughly under pressure before galloping within the final 50m and a warning was issued against the racing manners of the gelding.
FONDA RHONDA – Post-race sample.
DOLLYS LAW – Out of position in the latter stages of the score up and at the start. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of the filly.
RACE 3 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres
GUNNER – Galloped free of interference within the final 100m and a warning was issued.
MACKEL SONNY – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having not started in a race since October 2023. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Pre-race sample. Galloped in the latter stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of the gelding. MACKEL SONNY trailed the field for the entire.
FAMILIAR TRICKS – Post-race sample.
RACE 4 – IRT HORSE TRANSPORT PACE – 1609 metres
SOHO WASHINGTON – Post-race sample.
YOU STICK WITH ME NZ – Pre-race sample. Trainer J Grimson was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to have the gear for this gelding notified. Held up for clear racing room over the final 400m and unable to be fully tested at any stage in the run to the finish.
ELLY LOU – Near side sulky wheel contacted and flattened by SAPPHIRENDIAMONDS, which was trailing, at the 1200m when the speed of the race decreased slightly.
SAPPHIRESNDIAMONDS – Inconvenienced and contacted the near side sulky wheel of ELLY LOU at the 1200m when the speed of the race decreased.
WHAT FOR – Paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of the gelding.
RACE 5 – SKY RACING PACE – 1609 metres
JUST HOME GROWN NZ – Galloped in the score up, was out of position at the start and a warning was issued against the barrier manners of the gelding.
CLASSICMAJOR – Pre-race sample. Inconvenienced in the early stages of the score up when JUST HOME GROWN NZ galloped. As a result, was out of position at the start, however no action was taken against the barrier manners of the gelding.
AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS – Post-race sample.
HALLOWEEN – Inconvenienced and held up for clear racing room rounding the final turn when trailing MOST CERTAIN MICKY, which was giving ground in advance. Held up for clear racing room and unable to be fully tested in the run to the finish.
RACE 6 – ULTRA AIR PACE – 1609 metres
General – The start of this race was delayed due to Ballarat Thoroughbreds race 5 running behind schedule.
GENTLE GIANT NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Weakened from the 500m inconveniencing PARALLEL, which was trailing and held up for clear racing room during this stage.
PARALLEL – Pre-race sample. Inconvenienced and held up for clear racing room between the 500m and 300m when trailing GENTLE GIANT NZ which was giving ground.
LARRIKIN LENNY – Post-race sample.
WATCHING OVER US – Inconvenienced during the middle stages of the score up due to KHULAN KID hanging in, however regained its barrier position at the start.
KHULAN KID – Hung in during the middle stages of the score up, inconveniencing WATCHING OVER US.
RACE 7 – PRYDES EXCEPTIONAL ALWAYS PACE – 1609 metres
EXPLOSIVE BRONSKI – Inconvenienced rounding the final turn when trailing RAKADEAKES NZ after that runner commenced to give ground in advance.
RADADEAKS NZ – Led the event before commencing to give ground at the 700m to be beaten 45m into tenth position. Driver L Painting explained that RAKADEAKS NZ raced keenly immediately after the start and was able to gain the lead. Mr Painting added that RAKADEAKS NZ travelled well prior to commencing to give ground at the 700m and proved disappointing in the overall performance. Mr Painting further added that it was his belief that connections may be re-assessing the racing future of the gelding within the stable. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities other than a slower than normal recovery.
LEXUS LOU – Galloped when being restrained after racing in restricted room at the 1400m between WAHAKA and TUKAHA. A warning was issued against the racing manners of the gelding.
MIKI COHEN NZ – Trainer J Grimson was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to have the gear for the gelding notified. Paced roughly at various stages before being held up for clear racing room and unable to be fully tested in the run to the finish. Inconvenienced rounding the final turn when trailing RAKADEAKES NZ after that runner commenced to give ground in advance. Driver C Hart advised that MIKI COHEN NZ never travelled comfortably throughout, this resulted in him remaining racing on the marker pegs for most of the event. Mr Hart added that connections would look to make the necessary gear changes to rectify the racing manners of the gelding prior to starting again. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
LE TWIST NZ – Pre-race sample. Checked and paced roughly leaving the back straight when trailing RAKADEAKS NZ when that runner commenced to give ground in advance.
TUKAHA – Hung in at the 1200m when being caught racing wide and attempting to be restrained to towards the rear of the field.
RACE 8 – WOODLANDS STUD INDUSTRY DRIVEN PACE – 1609 metres
GIMME A REASON – Pre-race sample. Briefly paced roughly after the start.
TITIAN RAIDER – Post-race sample.
ROLL UP NZ – Galloped in the early stages of the score up, however regained its barrier position at the start. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of the gelding.
