RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1609 metres.

TASMANS DELIGHT – Hung out for some distance during the score up. Raced in restricted room rounding the home turn.

DOUBLE MACH – Pre-race blood sample.

THREE PARTS GREY – Hampered and had to be shifted wider rounding the turn after the start when racing outside MIDAS SHANNON.

DOLLY MISS MOLLY – Broke stride free of any external factors rounding the turn after the start and galloped. Connections were advised that prior to racing again DOLLY MISS MOLLY must perform tractably in two official qualifying trials and a stand down period of 14 days would be applied.

YOGI – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

MIDAS SHANNON – Had to be checked rounding the turn after the start when attempting to avoid DOLLY MISS MOLLY.

 

RACE 2 – MULTIQUIP ENGINEERING PACE – 1609 metres

SPOOKY ART – Broke stride free of any external factors shortly after the start and had to be restrained. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

GREENWOOD LENNY – Hampered and had to be shifted wider shortly after the start when attempting to avoid SPOOKY ART. Raced roughly for some distance rounding the turn after the start. Weakened noticeably over the concluding stages and was distanced. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality. Connections were advised that prior to racing again GREENWOOD LENNY must perform competitively in an official qualifying trial.

RACE 3 – R U OK DAY – THUR 11TH SEPT PACE – 1609 metres

SLINGSHOT – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations.

IAMOPET – When questioned in relation to the performance trainer/driver Mr T Ison explained, that it was his pre-race intention to lead and drove with vigour in the early stages in an attempt to achieve this. He said that BREXITT which had drawn to his inside began quickly and despite his efforts he could not cross that runner to obtain the lead. He said that entering the back straight on the first occasion he eased and obtained cover behind SILENT REACTION however the gelding failed to travel comfortably at any stage and was unresponsive when placed under pressure inside the 500 metres. Mr Ison stated that in his opinion IAMNOPET is best suited when able to obtain the lead at a moderate tempo. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.

SILENT REACTION – When questioned in relation to the performance driver Mr C Griffiths explained, that after being caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to make more use of the gelding than intended to obtain a forward position. He said that rounding the turn after the start he drove with vigour and eventually obtained a position outside the lead and thereafter the gelding travelled relatively well until placed under pressure inside the 500 metres where it became unresponsive and ran to the finish in a disappointing manner. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality. Trainer Mr G Coney said that the gelding would be retired immediately. Notwithstanding this advice, Mr Coney was told prior to racing again, SILENT REACTION must perform competitively in an official qualifying trial.

RACE 4 – R U OK DAY – IM HERE TO HEAR YOU PACE – 1609 metres.

GROSESTAR – Post-race swab sample.

ROCKNROLL RAMBO – Trainer/driver G Panella was cautioned in relation to the manner that she applied the whip rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight.

BE GOOD BENNY – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 5 – PEEL VALLEY UPHOLSTERERS APPRECIATION PACE – 1980 metres

SCHOONERS – When questioned in relation to the performance driver G Panella explained, that after beginning well she was able to obtain cover on the marker peg line and the filly travelled comfortably in the early and middle stages. She said that when the leader increased the tempo approaching the 400 metres, she placed her drive under pressure to improve with it, however from this point SCHOONERS did not respond and weakened noticeably despite her efforts. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly had sustained an abrasion to its near hind leg and was uneven in its gait. Connections were advised that prior to racing again SCHOONERS must perform competitively in an official qualifying trial.

BLING THE KASH – Post-race swab sample.

MISTER BRILLANTE – Pre-race blood sample. When being shifted in near the 300 metres in an effort to obtain a run behind the eventual winner, slight contact was made with the sulky of MY ULTIMATE HUGO. Driver A Ruggari’s left leg dropped below the sulky rest momentarily when activating gear passing the 250 metres.

OAKLEY SHARD NZ – Broke stride free of any external factors during the score up and galloped for a short distance. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record. Driver A Varga’s left foot dropped below the sulky rest momentarily when activating gear passing the 300 metres.

WATCH YOUR BACK NZ – Held up in restricted room approaching the home turn, then was unable to obtain clear running at any stage in the home straight and went to the finish without being tested.

 

RACE 6 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres.

THE EYE IN THE SKY – Held up and unable to obtain completely clear running in the home straight and went to the finish without being fully tested.

ASCOT SHOWTIME – Pre-race blood sample.

FLEUR BELLA – Broke stride and galloped for a short distance when racing tight between EIFFEL FROM HEAVEN, which shifted in marginally and THE EYE IN THE SKY which shifted out despite the efforts of its driver passing the 300 metres. Had to be steadied approaching the home turn when racing tight on the inside of EIFFEL FROM HEAVEN which again shifted in marginally.

DOUGS RULES – Post-race swab sample.

ADRENALINE RUSH – Unable to obtain completely clear running in the home straight and went to the finish without being fully tested.

 

RACE 7 – SIXT CAR & TRUCK RENTAL TAMWORTH PACE – 1980 metres

DUAL CAM – Hampered and had to be shifted slightly wider at the entrance to the home straight on the first occasion when attempting to avoid TINNY MAHONEY.

TINNY MAHONEY – Broke stride free of any external factors approaching the 1600m and galloped for a short distance. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

VINTAGE EDITION – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

MUSTANG MUSCLE – When questioned in relation to the performance driver M Grima explained, that despite being in a rearward position the gelding travelled comfortably in the early and middle stages however when attempting to improve inside the 600 metres, it weakened noticeably and tailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed MUSTANG MUSCLE to be displaying a slow recovery with an elevated heart rate. Connections were advised that prior to racing again MUSTANG MUSCLE must perform competitively in an official qualifying trial.

JOE BY THE SEASIDE NZ – Sustained a flat tyre passing the 700 metres.

ANNIE CROCKER – When questioned in relation to the performance, trainer/driver T Ison expressed disappointment and said that the mare failed to travel at any stage and when placed under pressure inside the 600 metres to improve was unresponsive and ran to the finish in a disappointing manner. He said that it was his intention to monitor the recovery prior to deciding on a future racing program.

 

RACE 8 – TAMWORTH TREATED TIMBERS – HORSE BEDDING PACE – 1980 mares.

TABRA – Post-race swab sample.

REDS GOOD TO GO – Had to be checked for some distance inside the 400 metres when attempting to avoid AMILLION PROMISES which was weakening.

THE IRISH EAGLE – Weakened over the concluding stages and ran to the finish in a disappointing manner. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.

MINI MINE YET NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

AMILLION PROMISES – When questioned in relation to the performance trainer/driver T Ison explained, that after shifting to a three wide position from the tail of the field to go forward, the gelding did not respond as quickly as he had envisioned and was forced to race wide for some distance and place his drive under more pressure than he had intended.  He said that after achieving the position outside the lead AMILLION PROMISES only travelled moderately and when placed under pressure inside the 500 metres became unresponsive and ran to the finish in a disappointing manner. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality. Mr Ison said that he would monitor the gelding’s recover prior to deciding on a future racing program.

ELOUISA DALE NZ – Following required satisfactory performance trainer/driver G Panella was advised that the mare is now be eligible to take its place in the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 9 – EQUINE VET CARE NEW ENGLAND PACE – 1609 metres

MY ROCK MOVES – Post-race swab sample.

RICK REILLY NZ – Broke stride free of any external factors when the start was affected and galloped for a considerable distance. Connections were advised that the gelding would now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

RACING PAULA – Hampered and unable to be driven forward for a short distance inside the 400 metres when racing behind ASHLEYS BLUE CHIP which weakened at that point.

FAST TRACKER – Pre-race blood sample.

THREE RIVERS NZ – Had to be checked severely at the start and shifted very wide on the track when attempting to avoid RICK REILLY NZ which had galloped. As a result of this incident THREE RIVERS NZ sustained a flat tyre and was disadvantaged throughout.
