RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE WARATAH HEAT – 1609 metres
LONGNWINDINGROAD – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
MACS TOMADO NZ – Raced roughly after the start. Unable to secure clear running at any stage in the home straight and was not fully tested.
ROCKNROLL CLARRY – Unable to secure clear running at any stage in the home straight and was not fully tested.
ULTIMATE RHAPSODY – Broke gait during the middle stages of the score up. A warning was issued.
LOUIE DADA – Had difficulty securing clear running until passing the 100 metres when LOUIE DADA was shifted wider.
WAR WESTERN – Broke gait in the early stages of the score up and took no competitive part in the event. A warning was issued.
RACE 2 – MATES4HARNESS PACE – 2030 metres
SWEET ROCKY – Broke gait during the score up resulting in a false start being declared. Connections were advised SWEET ROCKY would now be excluded form the mobile barrier draw. Unable to secure clear running until shifting wider passing the 100 metres.
DANCE WITH CARMER – Post-race swab sample.
SOME CHEVRON NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
PARATROUPER – Caught wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field.
RACE 3 – HAPPY FATHERS DAY FRANK BENAQUISTA PACE – 1609 metres
MISTER CHEESE – Pre-race blood sample. Raced three back on the marker pegs and overraced significantly.
LOVE LOU – Post-race swab sample.
ROCKTAGONAL – Had difficulty securing clear running in the latter stages of the home straight and was not fully tested.
RACE 4 – CBC BISTRO AT CARDIFF BOWLING CLUB PACE – 1609 metres
JOHN MCLEAN NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
ALWAYS THUNDER – Passing the 300 metres hung in and proved difficult to drive resulting in the gelding contacting several marker pegs. A warning was issued.
BETTERTHANFEDERER – Unable to secure clear running at any stage in the home straight. When questioned regarding her failure to shift out near the 150 metres, Driver C Formosa explained that there appeared to be no available runs forward of her runner however, upon review of the films she acknowledged there was an opportunity to progress to the outside of MONDELLO BEACH. C Formosa was advised to ensure she is always driving with initiative and always looking to improve her position over the concluding stages.
KARAOKE KING – Post-race swab sample.
FIRST CLASS NZ – Commenced to weaken leaving the 700 metres. Tired over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Trainer S Grima advised he would consult with the connections and may review the gelding’s racing future. Not withstanding this, S Grima was advised FIRST CLASS NZ would be stood down until it can complete one satisfactory official trial for what was deemed to be an unsatisfactory performance.
RACE 5 – TOOHEYS PACE – 2030 metres
HEAVENLY HOLLY – Near the 300 metres was held up and checked behind FORCE FULL. Near the 150 metres locked wheels with FORCE FULL as that runner gave ground resulting in HEAVENLY HOLLY being severely checked.
FORCE FULL – Overraced throughout the event. Commenced to weaken leaving the 300 metres. Then approaching the 150 metres locked wheels with HEAVENLY HOLLY. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Driver A Delosa explained Trainer R Alchin had affected a gear change and taken the deafeners off the gelding. She said it would be her recommendation to trainer R Alchin to reapply the deafeners as the gelding failed to settle. Connections were advised FORCE FULL must complete one satisfactory official trial for what was deemed to be an unsatisfactory performance.
ALTA MAGICIAN NZ – Leaving the 100 metres obtained a run to the inside of CHICAGO BART which shifted out. Post-race swab sample.
SWELL TIME NZ – Approaching the 100 metres locked wheels and was severely checked.
SAINT CRUSADER – Pre-race blood sample.
SURFERS DELIGHT NZ – Approaching the 100 metres shifted out to avoid FORCE FULL and HEAVENLY HOLLY which had locked wheels however in turn SURFERS DELIGHT NZ then engaged sulky wheels with SWELL TIME NZ resulting in both runners being severely checked.
RACE 6 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 metres
SAN SEBASTIAN – Pre-race blood sample.
GRUMPYSHANNON – Post-race swab sample.
PEPPERCORN BARRY – Driver M Dawson momentarily dropped his left foot leaving the 200 metres. Upon review it was accepted that M Dawson’s foot had slipped momentarily from the sulky rest.
RACE 7 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres
SEEKING PLEASURE – Pre-race blood sample.
PEPPA BLISS – Entering the first turn was inclined to hang in.
FAY IRENE – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 8 – SHARP OFFICE PACE – 1609 metres
SPEARHEAD – Raced roughly after the start. A warning was issued.
WALLAROY BOY – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines. No abnormalities were detected.
ERROL FIN – Raced three wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside the leader near the 1100 metres. Post-race swab sample.
NIFTY STUDLEIGH - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW
animal welfare guidelines. No abnormalities were detected.
KATLAS DREAM – Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 9 – THE TAB APP MAIDEN PACE – 1609 metres
ROOBEE – Approaching the 1300 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. Given its recent record connections were advised ROOBEE would be stood down from racing until it can complete one satisfactory official trial.
RECKLESS CONVICT – During the preliminary the near side rein became detached resulting in RECKLESS CONVICT completing 1400 metres at a relatively fast tempo. A pre-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities, and the gelding was passed fit to take its place in the field.
LINE OF COURAGE – Pre-race blood sample. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight and was not fully tested.
MODERN MISCHIEF – Post-race swab sample.
LADYS IN HEAVEN – Caught wide in the early stages before working forward. Overraced and contacted its own sulky. LADIES IN HEAVEN tired significantly over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Connections were advised LADIES IN HEAVEN would be stood down from racing until it can complete one satisfactory trial for what was deemed to be an unsatisfactory performance.
JANELLE MAY – Leaving the 1300 metres had to be checked away from ROOBEE resulting in the mare becoming unbalanced and breaking gait.
