GENERAL
All runners engaged in Race 5 the TAB LEN SMITH MILE (GROUP 1) and Race 7 the TAB EUREKA were presented to the HRNSW Retention Facility prior to 12pm on Thursday 4 September 2025. All runners were subjected to Out of Competition testing upon arrival and remained under surveillance until presentation to the race day stables prior to the race.
RACE 1 – THE BOTTLEMART STOCKADE – 2300 metres
GOLLY GEE FELLAS – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.
CHARGE AHEAD – Pre-race blood sample. Driver Grant Dixon was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that he permitted his runner to shift out approaching the 1300 metres when not sufficiently clear of ROYAL CRUISER causing that runner to be momentarily inconvenienced.
OUR GOAT – Caught racing wide before working forward to the lead passing the 1800 metres.
RAVISHING SLOY – Pre-race blood sample.
ROYAL CRUISER – Driver Bernie Hewitt was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that approaching the 1400 metres he allowed his runner to shift wider on the track when not sufficiently clear of VITE MONET causing that runner to be momentarily inconvenienced. Inconvenienced approaching the 1300 metres when CHARGE AHEAD was shifted wider on the track. Post-race swab sample.
VITE MONET – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced approaching the 1400 metres when ROYAL CRUISER was shifted wider on the track. Post-race swab sample.

RACE 2 – COBBITTY EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE BLUE – 2YO FILLIES FINAL (GROUP 2) – 1609 metres
SYDS JOY – Pre-race blood sample.
KENO ROSIE – Pre-race blood sample.
APPLAUDING – Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sample.
FAKE FRIENDS – Hung in after the start.
WHERES MY REASON – Post-race swab sample.
OSHLEY – Broke after the start. After considering the recent record of the filly, a warning was issued.

RACE 3 – COBBITTY EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE BLUE – 3YO FILLIES FINAL (GROUP 2) – 1609 metres
A TRUE LOVE – Post-race swab sample.
SMIRKIN SERENE – Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres. Post-race swab sample.
VIOLET HANOVER – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
BABY YOUR THE ONE – Pre-race blood sample.
DOLLY ROCKET – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.
SHES A WARRAWEE – Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres. Stewards questioned driver Cameron Hart with regards to the performance of the filly which weakened over the concluding stages to finish in 10th placing beaten 34 metres. Mr Hart advised Stewards that it was the pre-race plan just to float forward and find a position in the running line, however when he was unable to do so he continued to let the filly slide up to the leader and briefly take a look for the lead. Mr Hart further explained that the filly is a bit all or nothing and needs it all her own way in races to produce her best. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. After considering the explanation of Mr Hart, Stewards determined to note his comments.
RACE 4 – COBBITTY EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE BLUE – 2YO COLTS & GELDINGS FINAL (GROUP 2) – 1609 metres
BOGDANAVIC – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
AURORA MIGHTY ROB – Over raced during the middle stages of the event. Inconvenienced approaching the 500 metres when CANTPLZA MALTEEZA raced roughly.
LEXY – Post-race swab sample.
FEARFUL – Hung in and contacted marker pegs passing the 400 metres.
LEWIE KELLY – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
AFTERSHOCK – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced approaching the 500 metres when CANTPLZA MALTEEZA raced roughly.
COWBOY CULTURE – Improved three wide from the 1000 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 800 metres.
CANTPLZA MALTEEZA – Pre-race blood sample. Raced roughly approaching the 500 metres and inconvenienced AURORA MIGHTY ROB, AFTERSHOCK and AMERIKIN RUNA. After considering the recent record of the gelding a warning was issued.
AMERIKIN RUNA – Broke after the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding it will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Inconvenienced approaching the 500 metres when CANTPLZA MALTEEZA raced roughly.
RACE 5 – TAB LEN SMITH MILE (GROUP 1) – 1609 metres
CYA ART NZ – Driver Josh Gallagher pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a), in that he applied the whip to the gelding in the latter stages of the home straight in a manner which was considered not to be a wrist only flicking motion. After considering the recent record of Mr Gallagher, he was fined $400. Post-race swab sample.
OLIVER DAN – Stewards commenced an inquiry into the reasons for OLIVER DAN contacting the sulky of KINGMAN NZ over the concluding stages and as a result being severely checked and breaking stride further checking THE JANITOR NZ. Ashleigh Delosa, the driver of OLIVER DAN, advised Stewards that passing the 250 metres a run developed between CYA ART NZ and CAPTAINS KNOCK and she commenced to driver her runner forward, however soon after she identified that her runner commenced to improve quickly on to the back of KINGMAN NZ which had commenced to give ground quickly and she attempted to restrain her runner, however momentum caused her runner to race up onto the back of the sulky of KINGMAN NZ and contact the sulky of that runner causing her runner to break stride, checking THE JANITOR NZ which also broke stride. After considering the explanation provided by Miss Delosa, which was confirmed by the footage, Stewards were satisfied that Miss Delosa had ceased OLIVER DAN forward and commenced to restrain her runner prior to making contact with KINGMAN NZ and with the difference in momentum of her runner compared to that of KINGMAN NZ, there was little more that Miss Delosa could have done in the circumstances and determined take no further action.

THE JANITOR NZ – Hung out after the start before breaking stride. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued. Broke stride free of interference passing the 900 metres. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued. Severely checked and broke stride over the concluding stages when OLIVER DAN contacted the sulky of KINGMAN NZ and broke stride. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
KINGMAN NZ – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres.
SWAYZEE – A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
UBETCHA TIGERPIE – Driver Michael Stanley pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a), in that he applied the whip to the gelding in the latter stages of the home straight in a manner which was considered not to be a wrist only flicking motion. After considering the recent record of Mr Stanley, he was fined $400.

RACE 6 – GREAT NORTHERN FFA – 1609 metres
BETTERTHANCASH NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
PETES SAID SO NZ – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding has competed in excess of 200 race starts. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
LOYALIST NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
HORN PLAYER – Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres. Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.
MONTALBANO – Trainer Chris Judd was fined $100 for the late notification of Matt Rue as the driver of the gelding.
RIPP – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1100 metres. Post-race swab sample.
MAJOR PERRY NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 7 – THE TAB EUREKA (GROUP 1) – 2300 metres
HESITATE – Post-race swab sample.
FATE AWAITS – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

FOX DAN – Post-race swab sample.
FIGHER COMMAND – Broke stride free of interference passing the 500 metres. After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
BAY OF BISCAY – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 1600 metres. Post-race swab sample.
MIKI TO SUCCESS – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1600 metres.
RACE 8 – COBBITTY EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE BLUE – 3YO COLTS & GELDINGS FINAL (GROUP 2) – 1609 metres
EVELYNS DRAGON – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
OAKIE SMOKESHOW – Trainer Chris Judd was fined $100 for the late notification of Matt Rue as the driver of the gelding. Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 200 metres. Post-race swab sample.
JUNGLE DRAGON – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
RENROW BOY – Pulled hard during the score up. Stewards questioned driver Blake Jones with regards to the racing manners of the gelding which continued to over race throughout the event. Mr Jones advised Stewards that the gelding’s earplugs became dislodged during the score up and from that point the gelding raced extremely keenly. After considering the explanation provided by Mr Jones, the gelding was given its last chance to race truly.
WALTER WARLOCK – Pre-race blood sample.
WITHDISTINCTION – Over raced throughout the middle stages of the event. Over raced and contacted the sulky of SOHO DARKNSTORMY passing the 1800 metres when that runner was eased slightly to allow MAC BON to improve to the position outside the leader.
SOHO DARKNSTORMY – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 900 metres.
MAC BON – Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing wide in the early and middle stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 800 metres.
