RACE 1 – AUSTRALIAN PACING GOLD 2YO PACE – 1609 metres

DEVIOUS MINDS – Trainer K Morris was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear form for the filly.  Stewards questioned Driver R Morris in relation to the performance of the filly when failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 34.3 metres and finished in 6^th position. Mr Morris explained the filly had been trialling well leading into the event and was disappointed in the performance of the filly in today’s event. Mr Morris advised that connections would have the stable veterinarian look at the filly in the coming days and will report any abnormalities.

CLASSIC CHIP – Pre-race blood sample. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

STANNUM – Failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 49.7 metres and finished in last position.

CRUNCH IT – Failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 49.1 metres and finished in 7^th position.

SOHO PARK AVENUE – Worked forward to obtain the lead leaving the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 2 – IRT TROTTERS CAROUSEL HEAT 1 – 2300 metres

IN REDWHITEANDBLUE – Became unbalanced and galloped leaving the 2000 metres and again passing the 400 metres for which the gelding was issued its last chance to race truly.

DONNIE GAL – Stewards questioned Driver R Cernovskis in relation to the performance of the filly when failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 84.7 metres and finished in 9^th position. Mrs Cernovskis explained that the filly was racing up in grade in today’s event and also noted that this was the first time the filly had raced over the 2300 metres distance for some time. Mrs Cernovskis felt the early work may have contributed to the overall performance of the filly. In view of the disappointing performance, a warning was issued.

KYVALLEY MICHAEL NZ – Trainer representative B Fitzpatrick was issued a reprimand under Rue 41(1) in that he presented the horse to the stabling area approximately 3 minutes late. Became unbalanced and galloped leaving the 400 metres for which a warning was issued.

FAMILIAR TRICKS – Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1900 metres. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 3 – AINSWORTH TROTTERS CAROUSEL HEAT 2 – 2300 metres

ITZ TRIXTON TIME NZ – Failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 61.4 metres and finished in last position for which a warning was issued.

FONDA RHONDA – Post-race swab sample.

CALL ME JACK – Pre-race blood sample

PROHIBITED LOVE – Worked forward to obtain the lead leaving the 1950 metres. Became unbalanced and galloped leaving the 350 metres for which a warning was issued.

ALDEBARAN JENSEN – Caught racing wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field leaving the 1800 metres.

JUNGLE EYES – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1800 metres.

 

RACE 4 – D M PLUMBING PACE – 1609 metres

MYTH YOU ALREADY – Post-race swab sample.

MICHAEL CAINE NZ – Driver B Portelli pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a) in that in the home straight on the final occasion he has applied his whip on a number of occasions in more than a wrist only flicking motion. Driver B Portelli was fined $400 and had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 7 days to commence midnight 17 September 2025.

YOU STICK WITH ME NZ – Trainer J Grimson was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) in that he failed to lodge a gear form for the gelding. Stewards will question Driver J Grimson in relation to his whip use in the home straight. This is set to take place Saturday 13 September 2025.

CYNICAL – Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing three wide in the early stages until finding a position I the running line passing the 1050 metres. Became unbalanced and galloped leaving the 350 metres for which the gelding was stood down until it completes 2 trials and for a period of 14 days.

PARALLEL – Trainer K Morris was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare J Gallagher as the driver by the prescribed time.

 

RACE 5 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES PACE – 1609 metres

ILEANA – Pre-race blood sample. Pre-race blood sample.

SAPPHIRESNDIAMONDS – Driver B Fitzpatrick was issued a reprimand under Rule 170(1)(b) in that leaving the 400 metres he has lowered his left foot from the sulky rest while activating gear.

MISTER JONES NZ – Post-race swab sample.

AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres.

ALWAYS A SAM – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

 

RACE 6 – PRYDE’S EASIFEED PACE – 1609 metres

LIEUTENANT ARDEN NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

MY ULTIMATE LUCIUS – Became unbalanced and galloped shortly after the start for which a warning was issued.

SAO PAULO SIMBA – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 7 – TAB PACE – 1609 metres

DOUBLE LOU – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 8 – WOODLANDS STUD PACE – 1609 metres

CAULONIA COURAGE – Pre-race blood sample.

DOM TORETTO NZ – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the lead passing the 1200 metres.

ROCK N ROLL DOO NZ – Raced three wide in the early and middle stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader leaving the 1000 metres. Hung out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion. Post-race swab sample.
