RACE 1 – DACHSHUND DASH PACE – 1700 metres
BELLE OF BELMONT NZ – Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.
MONDOS REASON – Checked and broke leaving the 300 metres when contacting the sulky of DEAR DARLING who shifted out when insufficiently clear.
DEAR DARLING – Driver N Turnbull pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when leaving the 300 metres has shifted his runner wider when insufficiently clear of MONDOS REASON and as a result that runner has made contact to his sulky and broke stride. Considering Mr Turnbull’s guilty plea and record in relation to this rule his licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 21 days. The suspension is to commence at midnight Sunday, 14 September 2025.
SERGEANT PEE JAY – Pre-race blood. Hung in in the latter stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. A warning was issued. Inconvenienced when leaving the 300 metres when shifting wider to avoid MONDOS REASON who had broken stride.
CAM I AM – Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested,
MUSCLE TOWN – Post-race sample.
MIDNIGHT TERROR – Leaving the 300 metres was inconvenienced when shifting wider to avoid MONDOS REASON who had broken stride.
ONE STUNIN MELODY – Leaving the 300 metres was inconvenienced when shifting wider to avoid MONDOS REASON who had broken stride.
RACE 2 – COWRA MARKETS PACE – 1700 metres
BING BANG BILLY – Leaving the 200 metres when attempting to obtain clear running raced roughly for a short distance. Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.
ARTFUL DOLLAR – Out of position at the start. A warning was issued. Trainer/driver N Turnbull was queried on the gelding’s overall performance which raced at the back of the field for the majority of the race to tire out of the event to finish in tenth and last position beaten 122.1 metres. He could give no reasonable explanation for the poor performance and would consider the gelding’s future in his stable in the coming days. A post-race veterinary examination initially revealed no abnormalities with a further examination revealing the gelding to have thumps. Connections were advised the gelding will be stood down for one requalifying trial.
WHEN TO WALKAWAY – Pre-race blood. Trainer I Osmond was queried on the gelding’s perceived improved performance in today’s event. He stated he was expecting improvement on the geldings first race start as it had trialed well recently at Canberra. He further added the gelding pulled up poorly from its only start at Young on 25 July 2025 and was given time to recover. Driver S Osmond was cautioned on his whip use in the home straight on the final occasion. Post-race sample.
VERY BOUTIQUE – Out of Position at the start. The filly will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.
RACE 3 – JAMES P KEADY PROPERTY MANAGEMENT PACE – 1700 metres
FINANCIALLY STABLE – Pre-race blood.
THE ACCIDENTAL ONE – When negotiating the first turn was checked when racing to the outside of BOLZANO NZ who had broken stride.
SHEZA BETTOR GEM – Driver J Turnbull was queried on the mare’s overall performance which failed to run on over the concluding stages to finish in sixth position beaten 33.7 metres. He stated although being disappointed in the mare’s overall performance not being able to find a position on the marker line and racing outside the lead proved detrimental to the overall performance.
BOLZANO NZ – When negotiating the first turn became unbalanced and broke stride. A warning was issued.
TAFL MOVE – Post-race sample.
RACE 4 – SHANE KERR PACE – 1700 metres
OUR ULTIMATE BONNY – Driver T Osmond was queried on the mare’s overall performance finishing in nineth position beaten 25.7 metres. Miss Osmond stated the mare failed to handle the track throughout the event racing roughly for the majority of the race.
THE RINGMASTER – Pre-race blood. Leaving the 500 metres became unbalanced and broke stride. Furthermore, the gelding broke stride at the 300 metres. THE RINGMASTER will be required to requalify on one occasion.

RACE 5 – JW FARRIER SERVICES PACE – 1700 metres
IDEAL WITCH – Pre-race blood. Driver H Ross was queried on the overall performance of the mare which gave ground over the final 300 metres to finish in seventh position beaten 28.6 metres. He stated he could give no reasonable explanation other than being slightly up in grade and when winning at Young on 2 September 2025 the race was run in moderate time.
LUCKY IN AMERICA – Driver I Ross pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 168(1)(a) in that when leaving the 200 metres when attempting to shift KOLOURA CLARE wider on the track has jostled for a short distance before breaking stride and shifting out locking wheels with KOLOURA CLARE and with that runner being checked. Considering Miss Ross’ record in relation to this rule and her guilty plea her licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of seven days. This suspension is to commence at midnight Sunday, 14 September 2025.
MERRYWOOD MARY – Had a tendency to shift out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion.
KOLOURA CLARE – Driver S Calligeros was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position behind the mobile barrier prior to the start. Leaving the 200 metres when jostling with LUCKY IN AMERICA has locked wheels with that runner and was checked.
CHANCEUX – Obtained a run to the inside of MERRYWOOD MERRY over the final 150 metres. Post-race sample.
BOY STUNNER – Leaving the 500 metres became unbalanced and broke stride. A warning was issued.
MACHX THE STRANGER – At the request of connections the filly will be placed back in the mobile barrier draw in future starts.
RACE 6 – ROSE DAVIS / HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1700 metres
SURFIN AT MIDNIGHT – Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.
FULL OF SPICE – Pre-race blood. Post-race sample.
MILLIE FRANCIS NZ – Leaving the 1300 metres broke free of interference. Considering the mare’s recent record MILLIE FRANCIS NZ will be stood down for a period of 14 days and must also requalify on two occasions.
RACE 7 – THANK YOU BAR STAFF PACE – 1700 metres
DIAMOND BIKINI – Gave ground over the final 300 metres to finish in ninth position beaten 25.6 metres.
HILLVIEW SAM – Inconvenienced at the 400 metres when trailing DIAMOND BIKINI who was yielding ground.
SEVEN TEE TWO – Pre-race blood. Broke an offside go straight shortly after the start.
PLAYBOI ROY – Fractious when leaving the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. A warning was issued. Post-race sample.
RACE 8 – KIDS FASHIONS ON THE FIELDS PACE – 1700 metres
HOLME BOY – Pre-race blood.
BARRABADINE DANCER – When negotiating the first turn was inconvenienced when R K FINN NZ broke stride.
R K FINN NZ – When negotiating the first turn became unbalanced and broke stride. Considering the gelding’s recent record, it will be stood down for one requalifying trial.
JAMBEROO ARK – Drive J Coney was queried on the overall performance of the gelding which tired out of the event to finish in tenth and last position beaten 119.6 metres. Mr Coney stated although being checked and broke stride when negotiating the first turn the gelding was able to find a reasonable position in the running line and travelled comfortably until being placed under pressure over the final 500 metres where he failed to respond and was disappointed in the overall performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be having a poor post-race recovery. JAMBEROO ARK will be required to requalify on one occasion prior to racing.
ALABAMA LIONESS – Post-race sample.
HAZZA IS WATCHING – Pulled hard in the score up and as a result scored up in the incorrect barrier until the final stages of the score up. A warning was issued.
DANCE BABY DANCE – Inconvenienced as a result of HAZZA IS WATCHING scoring up in the incorrect barrier.
RACE 9 – BEST DRESS DACHSHUND PACE – 2160 metres
SHE MAYBE BETTOR – Trainer M Turnbull was queried on the overall performance of the mare which failed to run on after leading event to finish in ninth position beaten 23.6 metres. Mr Turnbull stated that the pressure applied when leading the event over the longer distance proved detrimental to the mare’s overall performance.
ARTFUL PRINCE – Inconvenienced at the 900 metres when the pace in the running line eased as a result of MULLUM AXEL shifting from the marker line. Driver W Judd was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when leaving the 300 metres has shifted his runner wider when insufficiently clear of IM BELIEBER and as a result that runner was checked.
IM BELIEBER – Inconvenienced at the 900 metres when the pace in the running line eased as a result of MULLUM AXEL shifting from the marker line. When leaving the 300 metres was checked when ARTFUL PRINCE shifted wider when insufficiently clear.
NIFTY SCHOOBEE – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the gelding has not raced since 23 June 2024. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.
MULLUM AXEL – Driver J Coney was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when leaving the 900 metres has shifted his runner from the marker line to the running line when insufficiently clear of IM BELIEBER and as a result that runner was inconvenienced.
