RACE 1 – NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 2YO COLTS AND GELDINGS HEAT – ROUND 1 – 1730 metres

General – A false start was declared at the first attempt due to HESOURCELEBRITY hanging in during the score up and resulting in YOTTIE being unable to gain its correct barrier position.

WHERESWALLY – Post-race sample.

YOTTIE – Inconvenienced in the first attempt of the score up and unable to gain its correct barrier position. A false start was declared as a result. Held up for clear racing room rounding the final turn when trailing STRAIGHTNNARROW, which was giving ground.

HESOURCELEBRITY – Pre-race sample. Hung in during the first attempt of the score up, resulting in YOTTIE, which was drawn directly inside unable to gain its correct barrier position. A false start was declared and a warning issued against the barrier manners of HESOURCELEBRITY.

ENJABONARLO – Over-raced during the early and middle stages of the event.

STRAIGHTNNARROW – Hung in and contacted a marker peg upon entering the home straight on the final occasion. Tired to be beaten 55m and a warning was issued. 

 

RACE 2 – PANTHERS BATHURST PACE – 1730 metres

ZACHERY SHANNON – Post-race sample.

JEWEL HEAVEN – Hung in upon entering the home straight on the final occasion.

SWEET NATE – Pre-race sample. Galloped in the early stages of the score up, however regained the correct barrier position prior to the start. In assessing the previous barrier manners of SWEET NATE, the gelding was placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion.

MISTERFOURTHOUSAND – Driver C Masotti explained the gelding was not suited to having to race without cover in the two wide line. Miss Masotti added that MISTERFOURTHOUSAND had been performing well when able to race along the marker pegs in previous starts.

 

RACE 3 – NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 2YO COLTS AND GELDINGS HEAT – ROUND 1 – 1730 metres

HEZA VINCENT – Trainer J O’Shea was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to have gear notified for the gelding.

WIT WICKEE – Pre-race sample. Over-raced during the early and middle stages.

MESSAGE BANK – Post-race sample. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion.

 

RACE 4 – BEDWELLS FEEDBARN PACE – 2260 metres

RIKIBEAL – Post-race sample. Tightened for racing room racing into the first turn when CHEER FOR MITCH NZ was directed to a marker peg position in advance.

CHEER FOR MITCH NZ – Pre-race sample. Over-raced during the early and middle stages when leading. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Driver J Turnbull was issued a reprimand for tightening the racing room of RIKIBEAL when racing into the first turn. 

DEEPWATER CAM – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to not having started in a race since May 2024. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

SHELL SHOCK NZ – Over-raced during the early and middle stages of the event.

DRIVE TO THE BEACH – Hung in under pressure near the finish line. 

 

RACE 5 – NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 2YO FILLIES HEAT – ROUND 1 – 1730 metres

TIGER JEWEL – Gave ground to be beaten 48m.

SMOOTH JESSIE – Galloped clear of interference after the start and was placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

ROCKY WINE – Hung in at various stages throughout and a warning was issued.

ARK SEA – Pre-race sample. Post-race sample.

DYNAMITE DANNI – Re-included back in the mobile barrier draw.

CHEVAL JULIA – Slow to initially score up and was then out of position at the start. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of CHEVAL JULIA. Driver A Turnbull explained connections were disappointed with the performance of the filly and added that CHEVAL JULIA failed to travel at any stage of the event.

 

RACE 6 – POSTER BOY STANDING AT LLOWALONG FARMS PACE – 1730 metres

GABBYS SPORTSTAR – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Driver N Hurst was reprimanded for shifting ground leaving the 400m which inconvenienced AARON MINT which was racing to the immediate outside of GABBYS SPORTSTAR.

NIRVANA PRINCE – Pre-race sample.

BEACH ON FIRE – Led the event before commencing to give ground racing down the back straight on the final occasion to be beaten 56m. Driver J Turnbull explained that BEACH ON FIRE usually performs well when able to lead in its races. Mr Turnbull added that he was disappointed with the performance of the gelding and advised that connections would possibly look at restricting BEACH ON FIRE to the half mile tracks in future when circumstances permitted. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. A warning was issued against the racing manners of the gelding.

ROSE OF JULIANA – Contacted the offside tyre of AARON MINT racing down the back straight on the final occasion after that runner commenced to give ground when racing in advance of ROSE OF JULIANA.

LETTUCE GO MIKI – Post-race sample.

AARON MINT – Commenced to give ground racing down the back straight on the final occasion before tiring to be beaten 73m. Sustained a flat offside tyre racing down the back straight on the final occasion when ROSE OF JULIANA, which was trailing, made contact. Inconvenienced leaving the 400m when racing to the outside of GABBYS SPORTSTAR when that runner was directed wider on the track.

 

RACE 7 – BATHURST TOYOTA PACE – 1730 metres

GRACE SHANNON – Pre-race sample.

TREACHEROUS JET – Initially showed gate speed before commencing to hang in approaching the first turn and shortly after galloping clear of interference. A warning was issued against the racing manners of the gelding.

LIVE VANCE – Pre-race sample.

ZARAS SPECIAL – Post-race sample.

IM HERE TO PARTY – Tired to be beaten 55m and a warning was issued.

 

RACE 8 – BLUEPRINT DESIGNS PACE – 1730 metres

WOKKA ROCK – Galloped after the start and a warning was issued.

KAELEIGHS COMET – Gave ground to be beaten 48m.

RUSTY VEEJAY – A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

ESPERANZA – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to not having started in a race since January 2024. Post-race sample. Driver J Coney explained that the mare was first up for the stable and had been trialling well before tonight’s performance. Mr Coney added that ESPERANZA was suited to a favourable draw and suited to being able to have one run over the concluding stages.

MAKES YOU WONDER – Pre-race sample. Checked behind KAELEIGHS COMET leaving the 400m when that runner was giving ground in advance.

ROSIES BOY – Inconvenienced behind KAELEIGHS COMET in the vicinity of the 400m when that runner was giving ground in advance.

 

RACE 9 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1730 metres

ALPHA XENA – Over-raced during the early and middle stages.

THE HANDSOME ONE – Pre-race sample. Post-race sample.

JOSEY MINT – Over-raced during the early stages when being caught racing wide in the early stages. Tired to be beaten 61m and a warning was issued.

BETTING ON COURAGE – Held up for clear racing room rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.
