RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1770 metres

ALL SO SASSY – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running approaching the 50 metres.

WONGALEA MEG – Pre-race blood test. 

ELLAVA PACER – Trainer Justin Field was fined the sum of $50 under rule 210 for failing to advise driver Shane Hallcroft by the prescribed time.  Over raced throughout the event.  Approaching the 250 metres was tightened as a result of ROLL THE ACES hanging in under pressure which resulted in ELLAVA PACER shifting down the track tightening TIGERS SPIRIT resulting in that runner contacting marker pegs.

GLAMORS SYMBOL – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the mare having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested. 

SHAKEN SANDS – Over raced throughout the event.

SOMEBODYS GIRL – Post-race swab.

ROLL THE ACES – Approaching the 250 metres hung in under pressure placing ELLAVA PACER into restricted room which in turn forced TIGERS SPIRIT to be tightened and contact marker pegs.

TIGERS SPIRIT – Approaching the 250 metres was tightened and contacted marker pegs as a result of ROLL THE ACES hanging in under pressure tightening ELLAVA PACER down onto TIGERS SPIRIT.

 

RACE 2 – MARTINS TRAVEL GROUP PACE – 1770 metres

SHES BELIEVABLE – Inconvenienced after the start as a result of ROSIE POLLEN hanging in.

ROSIE POLLEN – Hung in after the start.

THATS THE ATTITUDE – Post-race swab.

CARMEN ON BLING – Hung in after the start before breaking gait for which a warning was issued. 

RETURN SERVE – Pre-race blood test.  Rounding the first turn hung out and raced roughly.  Held up in the home straight for clear running and was not fully tested. 

JUSTCALLIMREX – Driver Tom Gilligan was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position behind the starting gate.

BONDI LASS – Driver Codi Rauchenberger was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain her position behind the starting gate. 

 

RACE 3 – DLG PACE – 1770 metres

LIFE GETS BETTER – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

THE CLOCK WINDER – Pre-race blood test. 

TIGER CHEDDAR – Hung in under pressure and contacted marker pegs rounding the final turn.

CRIMSON ROCK NZ – Pre-race blood test.  Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 5.09pm.  As a result the mare will now be stood down for a period of 10 days and a clear veterinary certificate.

BLUES TERROR – Held up in the home straight and was not fully tested.

BIDGEE BABE – Hung in in the score up and was out of position at that start and as a result will be continued out of the draw in mobile starts.  Driver Rebecca Brewer was questioned in regards to the above market expectation performance of the mare having started at $51.  Ms Brewer explained that it was her intentions to drive the mare with cover in the field however, approaching the 1000 metres BIDGEE BABE commenced to over race and as a result Ms Brewer allowed BIDGEE BABE to work forward and find the position outside the leader where the mare continued to travel well and as a result was too good over the concluding stages.  Post-race swab.

 

RACE 4 – MATT THE PAINTER PACE – 1770 metres

OKTOLOVE – Pre-race blood test.  After racing outside the leader gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 38.6 metres.

KULANI COURAGE – Broke in the score up for which a warning was issued.  Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres as a result of OKTOLOVE commencing to give ground. 

ARKLOW – Post-race swab.

ALISKI – Broke after the start for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 5 – JADE CLEMENT’S O & M VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR PACE – 1770 metres

UNDENIABLY NEEDY – Slow to begin from the mobile start.

MAJOR TRANSPARENCY – Fractious in the score up and was issued its last chance in the draw.  Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 62.1 metres.  As a result of the overall performance of the mare, MAJOR TRANSPARENCY will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

THROWDOWN HOEDOWN – Broke after the start for which a warning was issued.

FIANO – Post-race swab.

TOFFEE NOSE NZ – Pre-race blood test.  Raced roughly in the score up.  Inconvenienced after the start as result of THROWDOEN HOEDOWN breaking gait.

GOOD TALK – Out of position at the start and will be continued out of the draw in mobile starts.  Worked forward to the lead and failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 28 metres.

 

RACE 6 – SS & A ALBURY FIRST PAST THE POST PACE – 2170 metres

JILLIBY RYDER – Pre-race blood test.  Hung out after the start.

SASSINESS – Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start and will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

BOLANALONG – Driver Ky Bloomfield was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that, approaching the 400 metres he has shifted the gelding wider on the track when insufficiently clear of RACING WRITER causing that runner to be inconvenienced.

BRAEBEACH NZ – Had a tendency to hang in throughout the event.  Shifted out under pressure for which a warning was issued.  Post-race swab.

RACING WRITER – Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres as a result of BOLANALONG commencing to shift wider on the track when insufficiently clear.

 

RACE 7 – AHRC COMMITTEE PACE – 1770 metres

BIG MAURICE – Pre-race blood test.  Post-race swab.

SEND IT SAM – Hung out and raced roughly on the first turn.  Approaching the 1400 metres hung out and broke gait.  In view of the gelding having its first race start SEND IT SAM will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.

OUR ULTIMATE ELLA – Became unbalanced and broke gait twice throughout the event firstly at the 1400 metres and again at the 900 metres.  In view of the mare’s racing manners OUR ULTIMATE ELLA will be required to perform one requalifying trial.

CARLISLE WAY – Checked and raced roughly rounding the first turn as a result of SEND IT SAM hanging out.

JUNGLE SHARK – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

BIG COOL – Hung in in the score up and was out of position at the start and was issued its last chance in the draw.  Inconvenienced rounding the first turn as a result of SEND IT SAM hanging out.

BELIEVE IN DREAMS – Checked rounding the first turn as a result of SEND IT SAM hanging out. 

NELLIE BLING – Raced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start and was issued its last chance in the draw.  Continued to race roughly throughout the event before tiring to be beaten 102.9 metres.  In view of the gelding’s overall performance NELLIE BLING will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.
