RACE 1 – HILLTOPS EQUINE CENTRE PACE – 1720 metres
SOMEBODYS GIRL – Driver J Locke was queried on the mare’s overall performance where she failed to run on over the concluding stages to finish in 8th position beaten 19.6 metres. He stated after travelling well throughout the event when placed under pressure over the final 400 metres she failed to respond to be disappointing in the run to the finish.
BO DUKE NZ – Leaving the 200 metres was checked and raced roughly after contacting the sulky wheel of RETURN SERVE which shifted out when insufficiently clear.
RETURN SERVE – Driver J Painting pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when leaving the 200 metres, when being held up for clear racing room has shifted his runner wider when insufficiently clear of BO DUKE NZ and as a result that runner has contacted the sulky and raced rough for a short distance. Considering Mr Painting’s plea and his record in relation to this rule, his licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days. This suspension is to commence midnight Friday 3 October 2025.
CARMEN ON BLING – Pre-race blood sample. At the request of connections, a pre-race warm up was approved.
ROSIE POLLEN -Post-race swab sample.
RACE 2 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1720 metres
KOLOURA CLARE – Entering the back straight on the first and final occasion hung in and contact marker pegs. Driver S Calligeros was advised to drive with more care to ensure his runner doesn’t hang in contacting marker pegs to the extent KOLOURA CLARE has. Post-race swab sample.
MILLYANO – At the request of connections, a pre-race warm up was approved. Hung out in the latter stages of the score up, breaking stride and causing a false start. Considering the mare’s recent record she will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw at future starts. Trainer/Driver T Day could give no reasonable explanation for the mare failing to run on over the concluding stages to finish in 9th position beaten 63.1 metres. MILLYANO will be required to requalify on one occasion prior to racing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
IDEAL WITCH – Driver H Ross could give no reasonable explanation for the mare giving ground over the final 300 metres to finish in 10th and last position beaten 68.4 metres. Connections were advised the mare would be stood down for one requalifying trial.
MILOLA ROCK – Pre-race blood sample.
STARSHINE LADY – Had a tendency to hang in and race roughly throughout the event. A warning was issued.
RACE 3 – TRIMECH PACE – 1720 metres
JILLIBY TSUNAMI – When entering the home straight on the final occasion, raced roughly after being placed in restricted room when BLUES TERROR shifted in.
BLUES TERROR – Driver R Turner was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when entering the home straight on the final occasion, he has allowed his runner to shift down the track when insufficiently clear of JILLIBY TSUNAMI and as a result that runner was tightened for racing room and raced roughly.
PADDY MACH – Pre and post-race veterinary examination as the gelding is 12 years of age and has had over 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination. Post-race swab sample.
LIFE GETS BETTER – Leaving the 1400 metres became unbalanced and broke stride. A warning was issued.
PENCIL ME IN – Inconvenienced at the 1400 metres when LIFE GETS BETTER broke stride.
TIGER CHEDDAR – Had a tendency to hang in throughout the event. A warning was issued.
ARKLOW – Pre-race blood sample. Raced rough under pressure leaving the 200 metres.
RACE 4 – RIVERINA STOCKFEEDS PACE – 2100 metres
ALWAYS EXCLUSIF – Post-race swab sample.
FULL OF SPICE – Jostled for a short distance when MODERN SHEEN was trying to shift him wider.
GEOFFREY BEE – Leaving the 200 metres was checked and broke stride as a result of DANCING WITH MY EX shifting down the track after that runner had been checked.
BOLANALONG – Hung out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion and as a result THE TALK and SNEEK A PEEK NZ were inconvenienced. A warning was issued. Driver K Bloomfield was queried on the below market expectation when failing to run on over the concluding stages to finish in 8th position beaten 19.2 metres. He could give no reasonable explanation for the poor performance but believed racing outside the leader may have been detrimental.
MODERN SHEEN – Approaching the 200 metres shifted out tightening the running of DANCING WITH MY EX and when trying to shift FULL OF SPICE wider jostled with that runner until the 150 metres. Over raced throughout the event.
DANCING WITH MY EX – Approaching the 200 metres was tightened as a result of MODERN SHEEN shifting out, when improving onto the back of that runner was checked and shifted down the track tightening GEOFFREY BEE who broke stride. Although no one horse or driver could not be solely to blame for this incident, Driver J Turnbull was advised to exercise care in similar circumstances.
SNEEK A PEEK NZ – Inconvenienced at the 150 metres when BOLANALONG hung out under pressure.
THE TALK – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced at the 150 metres when BOLANALONG hung out under pressure.
RACE 5 – DONGES IGA PACE – 1720 metres
TIGERS SPIRIT – Pre-race blood sample.
HOLME BOY – Leaving the 200 metres when taken up the track by JOHNNYS BLUE contacted the sulky wheel of BULLI BELLE who was checked and broke stride.
BOLZANO NZ – Post-race swab sample.
GABBYS SPORTSTAR – Pre and post-race veterinary examination as the gelding has had over 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either occasion. Held up for clear racing room until the final 150 metres.
JOHNNYS BLUE – Driver M Hewitt was found guilty of a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that leaving the 200 metres when shifting his runner up the track has taken HOLME BOY up the track and as a result that runner contacted the sulky of BULLI BELLE who was checked and broke stride. Considering Mr Hewitts record in relation to this rule and the totality of the incident, his licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days. This suspension is to commence on midnight 8 October 2025.
BULLI BELLE – When leaving the 200 metres has contacted the sulky wheel of HOLME BOY broke stride shifted out locking wheels with NIXSUN.
NIXSUN – Checked at the 100 metres when locking wheels with BULLI BELLE.
RACE 6 – YOUNG CELLARS 2YO PACE – 1720 metres
BELIEVE IN DREAMS – Pre-race blood sample.
ANYONEFORADRINK – Post-race swab sample.
MAXX – Approaching the 200 metres was checked and broke when trailing KIPHILBRI who had broken stride.
KIRPHILBRI – Approaching the 250 metres when racing to the inside of BIG FROST became unbalanced and broke stride. A warning was issued.
YA RACIN DASH – Leaving the 200 metres was checked when trailing KIRPHILBRI who had broken stride.
IM ON NO SLEEP – Trainer/Driver J Painting was queried on the filly’s below market expectation when finishing in 9th position beaten 40.5 metres. Mr Painting was expecting a forward showing from the filly as she had worked well leading into the event and although doing some work early to race outside the lead, was disappointed in the filly’s overall performance and believe she may have come to the end of her current campaign and would subsequently be sent for a spell.
RACE 7 – YOUNG SERVICES CLUB PACE – 2100 metres
LAST FLITE – Due to the slow tempo of the race over raced throughout the event. Held up for clear racing until the final 100 metres.
HEAVENS PLEASURE – Had a tendency to shift out under pressure when entering the home straight on the final occasion.
YA RACIN BELLA – Driver P Betts was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when entering the first turn she has shifted down the track when insufficiently clear of CAM I AM and as a result that runner was tightened for racing room.
STELLA MACH – Leaving the 1500 metres became unbalanced and broke stride. A warning was issued.
CARLISLE WAY – When racing ungenerously passing the 400 metres improved onto the back of LAST FLITE and raced roughly for a short distance. Obtained a run to the inside of HEAVENS PLEASURE when entering the home straight on the final occasion. Post-race swab sample.
CAM I AM – When entering the first turn was tightened for racing room when YA RACIN BELLA shifted down when insufficiently clear. Leaving the 1800 metres when over racing has improved onto the back of IRISH SPEED and as a result raced rough for a short distance.
SERGEANT STRINGER – Pre-race blood sample. Checked and broke at the 1800 metres when trailing CAM I AM who had raced roughly for a short distance.
RACE 8 – TURNERS FURNITURE ONE PACE – 1720 metres
CHASIN YOU – Negotiating the first turn when challenging for the lead with PINK SCOOTER was checked and raced roughly after contacting the sulky of PINK SCOOTER who had hung in.
PINK SCOOTER – When negotiating the first turn had a tendency to hang in sharply contacting the sulky of CHASIN YOU and as a result that runner was checked and raced roughly. Driver J Locke was queried on the overall performance of the mare which gave ground over the final 400 metres to finish in 9th position beaten 41.1 metres. He stated he was disappointed in the mare’s overall performance, and the stable would consider the mare’s racing future in the coming days. As a result of the mare’s racing manners and the overall performance, PINK SCOOTER will be stood down for one requalifying trial.

CRACKER MISS – Leaving the 700 metres was tightened for racing room when contacting the sulky wheel of FLEXI BET who had shifted in.
GLAMOUR FOX - Post-race swab sample.
FLEXI BET – Driver B Micallef was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that leaving the 700 metres has allowed his runner to shift in from a three wide position tightening the racing room of CRACKER MISS.
RACE 9 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1720 metres
DIDNT I – Held up for clear racing room until the final 70 metres. An inquiry into Driver P McRae’s tactics over the final 200 metres was adjourned to a date to be fixed. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
GLENN FORD NZ – Pre and post-race veterinary examination as the gelding has had over 200 race starts. Pre-race blood sample.
ALPHA XENA – Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.
NAPOLI NIGHTS – Driver G Judd was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position behind the barrier prior to the start. Post-race swab sample.
