RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1740 metres
FRENCH STREET – Pre-race blood sample.
MISTER CRUNCH – Driver James Locke was fined $300 under Rule 162(1)(www)(iii) for shifting ground advantaging another runner, in that on the home turn he has permitted the gelding to shift wider on the track affording a run to BELLE OF BELMONT NZ before the sprint lane became available advantaging that runner.
SWEET LEILA NZ - Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 2 – NSWSOA FIRST PAST THE POST 2YO PACE – 1740 metres
BIG FROST – Driver Matthew McCaffery was issued a reprimand under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that, passing the 500 metres he has attempted to take a run to the inside of GINGER ELLA where there was insufficient room to do so causing that runner to move wider on the track inconveniencing STINSON.
GINGER ELLA - Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced passing the 500 metres when BIG FROST attempted to take a run to the inside of that runner.
IM NO STRANGER – Over raced throughout the event.
APPLAUDING – Post-race swab sample.
STINSON – Inconvenienced passing the 500 metres as a result of BIG FROST improving to the inside of GINGER ELLA.
RACE 3 – YIRRIBEE PACING STUD PACE – 1740 metres
OUR ULTIMATE BONNY – Approaching the 1500 metres was inconvenienced as a result of BRACKEN WARRIOR breaking gait.
BRACKEN WARRIOR – Hung in after the start and approaching the 1500 metres when being restrained and checked off FIFTYSHADESOFHAY NZ, the gelding became unbalanced and broke gait. Considering the recent record of BRACKEN WARRIOR, the gelding was placed on its last chance to race truly.
ELECTRA GIRL – Approaching the 1500 metres was checked as a result of BRACKEN WARRIOR breaking gait.
OH SWEET CREATURE - Pre-race blood sample. Approaching the 1500 metres was checked as a result of BRACKEN WARRIOR breaking gait.
THATS THE ATTITUDE - Approaching the 1500 metres was checked as a result of BRACKEN WARRIOR breaking gait.
OUR ROCKY – Post-race swab sample. At the request of connections, was placed back in the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 4 – HAPPY 40TH BRITHDAY NATHAN JACK PACE – 1740 metres
TEXAN BRANACH – Checked and raced roughly approaching the 350 metres as a result of MIKI SING breaking gait.
BETATHANABOUGHTONE - Checked at the 100 metres as a result of SWEET LOUANNE shifting wider on the track.
SWEET LOUANNE – Driver Brad Hewitt was issued a reprimand under ule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that, approaching the 100 metres he has permitted his runner to shift wider on the track when not sufficiently clear of BETATHANABOUGHTONE and as a result that runner was carried up the track into the line of LEWENDON who was also inconvenienced.
FIANO – Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.
MIKI SING - Pre-race blood sample. Passing the 350 metres became unbalanced and broke gait free of interference for which a warning was issued.
LEWENDON – Passing the 350 metres was checked and raced roughly as a result of MIKI SING breaking gait. Passing the 100 metres was checked as a result of SWEET LOUANNE shifting away from the marker pegs checking BETATHANABOUGHTONE.
DOVE LAKE – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 5 – RAGING BULL NZ @ SOUTH WEST SLOPES COOTAMUNDRA PACE – 1740 metres
BETTES BLUE VIOLET - Pre-race blood sample.
NIFTY AMBITION – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
MAGINOT LINE - Pre-race blood sample.
HITCH TO HIS STAR – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 6 – MATARANKA PARK STANDARDBREDS PACE – 2270 metres
OZZIE PUNTA - Pre-race blood sample. Broke during the score up for which a warning was issued. Driver Tasmyn Potter was questioned regarding the overall performance of the gelding which led and failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 8.5 metres and finish in last position. Ms Potter explained that passing the 1200 metres MYNAMEISEVAN was racing keenly to her outside and applied pressure to her runner which may have contributed to the overall performance.
CAPTAIN TOM - Pre-race blood sample.
MYNAMESEVAN – Over raced throughout the event. Hung in rounding the turns. Driver Taylah Osmond was questioned on the seemingly improved performance of MYNAMESEVAN. Ms Osmond explained it was the first start for Mr Rattray and on its recent work the stable expected a forward showing.
JIMMY JAMES MAGUIRE NZ – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 150 metres. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 7 – MEDOWIE LODGE PACE – 1740 metres
MOP NZ – Held up in the home straight and was not fully tested.
FE FE ON FIRE – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running approaching the 50 metres.
OTTOS WEALTH – Raced roughly after the start.
VIEW THE ART – Over raced throughout the event. Post-race swab sample.
JANIE BLU - Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 8 – NIXONS ENGINEERING PACE – 2270 metres
SANCHEZ – Post-race swab sample.
CAPTAIN RIVAL – Driver Mikayla Towers was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position at the start.
CATCHAFIRE NZ - Pre-race blood sample.
NEEDBEE – Trainer/Driver Bruce Harpley was questioned on the overall performance of the mare after making a mid-race move to the position outside the leader before giving ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 28.9 metres. Mr Harpley explained NEEDBEE had a tendency to race keenly as the pace was steady early and as result elected to move to the position outside the leader, as it was the mare’s first run from a break he expects improvement from the run. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare failed to reveal any abnormalities.
UNCLE JAY - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being 13 years of age and having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
