General: All drivers at today’s race meeting were subjected to alcohol breath testing prior to driving, with all negative findings.
RACE 1 – CENTRAL WEST GRANITE SUPPLIES EUGOWRA PACE– 1700 metres
MY ULTIMATE WOODY NZ – Hung inwards and yielded ground from the 700m to finish in 10th and last position beaten 60.3m. MY ULTIMATE WOODY NZ will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 2– LACHLAN VALLEY CHAFF CO CANOLA CUP SILVER CONSOLATION – 2100 metres
LUCKY IN AMERICA – Pre-race swab.
JASPERSTIMETOSHINE – Driver Jye Coney pleaded guilty to a charge under AHR Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) the particulars of the charge after jostling with FOR THREE REASONS passing the 500m Mr Coney continue to shift up the track resulting in FOR THREE REASONS being checked and racing roughly & causing his own runner to race roughly momentarily due his movement. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account the relevant considerations as outlined within the HRNSW Penalty Guidelines placing particular weight on Mr Coney’s guilty plea, the low degree of interference & carelessness along with his overall driving record which interacted his last offence (December 2024, 804 drives). Stewards accordingly imposed a seven (7) day suspension of his licence to drive in races which was ordered to commence midnight 11th October 2025. Post-race swab.
FOR THREE REASONS – Jostled & checked and raced roughly passing the 400m when JASPERSTIMETOSHINE shifted outwards.
RACE 3 – SUNNTSIDE PASTORAL CO – DAVID ‘SHORTY’ GREENHALGH MEMORIAL – 1700 metres
General: Stewards delayed the All Clear due to the photo-finish camera failing to capture any image of the finish and to allow Stewards the opportunity to view the video replays & hear submissions from drivers Nathan Hurst (KARINYA SOPHIE) & Blake Medlyn (WARRAWEE FLYER) to determine the placings for 3rd position. After hearing submissions from both drivers and viewing the replay Stewards determined that they could not be satisfied there was a margin between both runners and declared a dead heat between KARINYA SOPHIE & WARRAWEE FLYER for 3rd position. All clear was given on the placings of 1st SHEVCHENKO, 2nd SURFIN AT MIDNIGHT, 3rd KARINYA SOPHIE & WARRAWEE FLYER.
SURFIN AT MIDNIGHT – Broke gait during the middle stages of the score up checking running on the second row causing a false start to be declared. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of SURFIN AT MIDNIGHT.
MILLWOOD BROOKLYN NZ – Broke gait entering the first turn. A warning was issued against the racing manners of MILLWOOD BROOKLYN NZ.
LA FEAST – Pre-race swab. Hung inwards entering the first turn prior to being corrected by its driver.
AVA LEANNE – ($4.40) Driver Harrison Ross was queried into the overall performance of the filly which finished in 7th position beaten 16.9m after racing in a favourable running line position throughout the event. Mr Ross advised the filly to disappointing and attributed the performance to AVA LEANNE having not started or trialled since its last start on the 8th August 2025 and the filly would derive benefit from the performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
BURRABADINE STORM – (61.00) Yielded ground from the 700m to finish in 53.5m. BURRABADINE STORM will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion.
SHEVCHENKO – ($2.80 Fav) Pre-race swab. Trainer Nathan Turnbull was queried into the seemingly improved performance of the mare compared to its most recent starts. Mr Turnbull advised SHEVCHENKO was having its first start for his stable and was confident of a forward performance as the mare had been working well and performed well in three (3) recent public trials all in quick times. Post-race swab.
RACE 4– CKC ACCOUNTANTS KEN SHARP MEMORIAL – 1700 metres
THE HANSOME ONE – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.
JAY BEE – ($7.00) Driver Jye Coney was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the mare which finished in 10th and last position beaten 37.8m. Mr Coney advised JAY BEE to be disappointing and contributed the performance to the mare being urged forward at the start and commencing a three (3) wide run passing the 800m as the mare may be better suited driven more conservatively.

BELL RIVER BOY – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.
ROSIE ROMANCE – Pre-race swab.
RACE 5 – CABONNE SHIRE COUNCIL & FORBES LIVESTOCK PACE – 1700 metres
CARBAGANOOSH – Pre-race swab. Driver Erika Dwyer was issued a reprimand for the manner she shifted ground inside the final 100m which inconvenience MAMMALS GIRL, THE ROGUE I AM & causing ALABAMA LIONESS to be checked and race roughly.
KADAR – Post-race swab.
DANCING WITH MY EX – Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior to obtaining clear running.
MAMMALS GIRL – Driver Jett Turnbull pleaded guilty to a charge under AHR Rule 162(1)(www)(iii) the particulars of the charge being he failed to make sufficient effort to maintain a straight course when leading and allowing MAMMALS GIRL to shift up the track from passing the 250m which advantage another runner to obtain a run to his inside. Mr Turnbull was fined the sum of $200 in not taking more action stewards were satisfied the racing manners of MAMMALS GIRL contributed. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Inconvenienced inside the final 100m when CARBAGANOOSH shifted up the track.
ALABAMA LIONESS – Checked and raced roughly inside the final 100m when CARBAGANOOSH shifted up the track.
THE ROGUE I AM – Inconvenienced inside the final 100m when CARBAGANOOSH shifted up the track.
RACE 6 – GUNDAMAIN FEEDLOT CANOLA CUP GOLD CONSOLATION – 2100 metres
WATCH ME RAIDER – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.
DOUGS TRIBE – Broke gait clear of interference approaching the 1900m. DOUGS TRIBE will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. In taking this action stewards were mindful the gelding was issued a warning at its most recent start for display similar racing manners.
GILEON – Inconvenienced shortly after the start was effected.
RACE 7 – AGNVET SERVICES JOHN GREENHALGH MEMORIAL – 2100 metres
General: This event was delayed three (3) minutes due to Race 3 at Gawler thoroughbreds being behind their scheduled starting time & this event being transferred & shown on SKY 2 and having no available timeslot on that platform.
BETTING RANGER – Pre-race swab.
LEXYS ON SONG – ($11.00) Trainer/driver Olivia Frisby was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the gelding which finish in 10th and last position beaten 54m after racing along the marker pegs. Ms Frisby advised the gelding to be disappointing and could offer no explanation for the performance and would monitor the gelding in the coming days if to obtaining blood samples to explain to performance & would now consider giving LEXYS ON SONG a slight let up from racing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

JUSTA DRAGON – ($9.50) Driver Blake Medlyn was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 9th position beaten 27.2m. Mr Medlyn advised connections and himself were disappointed in the performance of the gelding and could offer no tangible explanation for the performance.
RACE 8 – KRIDEN FARMS 2025 CANOLA CUP (LISTED CLASSIC) – 2100 metres
General: This event was delayed two (2) minutes due to Race 5 at Muswellbrook thoroughbreds being behind their scheduled starting time
JEWEL HEAVEN – ($31.00) Driver Jason Hewitt was queried into the tactics adopted upon the filly in particular if he gave consideration to surrender the lead when significantly challenged by LA CAVALLETTA shortly after the start and racing around the first turn prior to surrendering passing the 1700m to that runner. Mr Hewitt advised he was satisfied to maintain the lead as he was able to hold the position without exerting the filly as he was relucted to surrender to LA CAVALLETTA after how the gelding performed in its heat the week prior when providing to be disappointing. However, when its driver continued with the pressure and he took hold of JEWEL HEAVEN to allow the filly some respite. Mr Hewitt was advised to exercise greater care in allowing the filly to shift outwards passing the 500m which tightened the racing room of EL FRANCO DE when progressing for a run to his outside.
RUDIMENTARY – Yielded ground inside the final 600m to finish in 8th position beaten 77.9m. A warning was issued against RUDIMENTARY racing competitiveness.
LA CAVALLETTA – Pre-race swab.
THIS TIME NZ – Yielded ground inside the final 600m to finish in 9th position beaten 80.3m. A warning was issued against THIS TIME NZ racing competitiveness.
SWEET ON LEXY – Post-race swab.
LIMOUSINE TOMMY – Broke gait clear of interference approaching the 1900m. A warning was issued against LIMOUSINE TOMMY racing manners.
EL FRANCO DE – Pre-race swab. Tightened for racing room passing the 500m when JEWEL HEAVEN shifted outwards.
RACE 9 – TAB.COM DON TILDSLEY MEMORIAL – 1700 metres
IM DESIRABLE – Pre-race swab.
SAINT EMILION – Sulky contacted & tyre deflated when being restrained passing the 1500m when HES CHIMING was being directed wider on the track to improve forward. Eased out of the event and took no competitive part in the event.
PICCADILLY PETE NZ – Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior to obtaing clear running.
CASSIUS DECK – Post-race swab.
HES CHIMING – Contacted & deflated the offside sulky wheel of SAINT EMILION when that runner was being eased and HES CHIMING was being directed wider on the track to improved forward of SAINT EMILION. Stewards took no action against Driver Jett Turnbull due to the mitigating circumstances.
