RACE 1 – THE BLIND BAKER PACE – 1609 metres

WIPEOUT – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

MISTER POVERTY – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 2 – GLOBAL BRANDS LIQUOR PACE – 1609 metres

BARA RILEY – Tightened for racing room rounding the final turn and contacted marker pegs. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

DONTLETFEARSTOPYA NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

SOME CHEVRON NZ – Had a tendency to over race during the early and middle stages of the event whilst in the lead.

TIGER PRINCE – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 3 – FIRST PAST THE POST SERIES PACE – 1609 metres

SPIRIT KING – Pre-race blood sample.

FAY IRENE – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 4 – PSC INSURANCE PACE – 1609 metres

BETTOR IDEA – Slow away as the start was effected. Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

FULLOFFIGHT NZ – Had a tendency to race roughly as the field negotiated the final turn.

THE COUNTY SHERIFF – Pre-race blood sample.

ONE MORE ALTA – Had a tendency to hang out throughout various stages of the event.

TOUGH NUT TEEJAY – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

FLYING COLOURS NZ – Post-race swab sample.

SPUNKYS GOTSECRETS – At the first attempt at the score up broke stride after making contact with BETTOR IDEA as a result of racing keenly at that stage. Whilst in a gallop, Driver B Hughes raised his hand to indicate to the starter to call a false start. At a subsequent inquiry driver B Hughes explained to Stewards that the tongue tie had become adrift and had only noticed whilst in a gallop. Stewards noted his comments and no further action was taken.

 

RACE 5 – BARASTOC PACE – 2030 metres

RAVISHING SLOY – Pre-race blood sample. Had a tendency to hang out during the middle stages of the score up. sustained contact to the rear of the sulky coming to the 1000 metres.

MR TEDDY NZ – Contacted the rear of the sulky of RAVISHING SLOY coming to the 1000 metres and raced roughly for a short distance as a result of the tempo of the event easing at that stage. 

KANENA PROVLIMA – Post-race swab sample.

QUADDIE VC NZ – Broke stride during the middle stages of the score up and continued to gallop for a considerable distance and at that time dropped its near side bell boot. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near side foreleg. Acting on veterinary advice was stood down for a period of 7 days. Connections were also advised a warning would be issued against its barrier manners in addition to one requalifying trial.

KING TIGER – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

 

RACE 6 – SLCIK CHICKS PACE – 1609 metres

NIFTY STUDLEIGH – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Had a tendency to hang in as the field negotiated the first turn.

HES GOT THE LOOK NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

COUNTRY MAJOR – Driver T Ison was fined $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) in that when applying the whip over the concluding stages he has employed an action which has engaged the shoulder.

UPSTREAM – Post-race swab sample.

CARPENTER – Driver G Panella was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position prior to the start being effected.

 

RACE 7 – TOOHEYS 2YO MAIDEN PACE – 1609 metres

AGATHA BLOOM – Post-race swab sample.

GARNET STRIDE – Had a tendency to hang in as the field negotiated the final turn. When questioned regarding the performance, Driver R Alchin advised that after the early tempo in the event his runner was left wanting over the concluding stages.

WAT ON EARTH – Pre-race blood sample. Contacted marker pegs when trailing GARNET STRIDE which had a tendency to hang in coming into the home straight and to the run to the finish. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

FORGIVE AND FORGET – Broke stride shortly after the start and veered up the track. Connections were advised given its limited experience, it would now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

LINE OF COURAGE – Checked shortly after the start was effected.

 

RACE 8 – SOMERSET MEATS MAIDEN PACE – 2030 metres

KAY JAY MIKI – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. Driver A Bourke could not offer any real explanation for the performance. Connections were advised a warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormality.

RONNYS WATCHING – Pre-race blood sample.

TOKOLOSHE – Out of position as the start was effected. Connections were advised it would continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

CHARJO – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 9 – THE TAB APP 2YO MAIDEN PACE – 1609 metres

EXECUTIVEDECISIONS – Momentarily placed in restricted room entering the first turn when to the inside of MIDNIGHT HAZE and BETWEEN DECKS.

MIDNIGHT HAZE – Pre-race blood sample.

CRUNCH IT – Post-race swab sample.

BETWEEN DECKS – Contacted marker pegs shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish.

HEZA CASANOVA – Driver R Morris was cautioned in relation to the manner in which he applied the whip over the concluding stages.
