RACE 1 – OSKAR MEMORIALS PACE – 1770 metres

ELECTRA GIRL – Post-race sample.

FINANCIALLY STABLE – Pre-race blood.  Leaving the 800 metres the lugging pole on the near side broke.

CLASSIC ARC – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the gelding has had over 200 race starts.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

RACE 2 – WATTYS RURAL & DOMESTIC FENCING PACE – 1770 metres

WITHDISTINCTION – Post-race sample.

ROCK STEADY – Broke stride shortly after the start.  Considering the gelding’s recent record it will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.  Due to the ground lost while breaking stride the gelding took no competitive part in the race. 

TROUBLE IN HEAVEN – Broke stride in the middle stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start.  Considering the mare’s recent record it will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.  Due to the ground lost while breaking stride the mare took no competitive part in the race.

ALWAYS BE BRENDAN – Leaving the 600 metres broke stride.  A warning was issued. 

BACKWARDS FIRST – Pre-race blood. 

 

RACE 3 – LERIDA ESTATE WINERY PACE – 1770 metres

OUR ULTIMATE BONNY – Pre-race blood.  Post-race sample.

MICTON MOUSE – ($1.50 fav) Driver W Rixon was queried on the gelding’s overall performance where it failed to race up to market expectation.  Mr Rixon stated the gelding failed to handle the track in tonight’s event not feeling comfortable throughout racing rough on the bends making it difficult for the horse to perform to expectations.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

FLEXI BET – Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.

MAJOR HUSS – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the gelding has had over 200 race starts.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

RACE 4 – HOMESTEAD PRESS PACE – 1770 metres

OAK RIDGE – Pre-race blood.  Driver J Locke was queried on the gelding’s overall performance and the tactics adopted in particular the tempo of the race set when leading the event.  He stated shortly after the start when beginning well the gelding raced rough for a short distance and when finding the lead the intentions were to obtain cover from EL FRANCO DE if that runner was looking for the lead.  When passing the 1300 metres EL FRANCO DE improved three wide OAK RIDGE was contacting its own sulky wheel  over racing and was unable to be restrained to obtain cover or gain some respite. Leaving the 400 metres when placed under pressure yielded ground to be disappointing in the run to the finish.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

YOUNG NELSON – When negotiating the first turn was severely checked as a result of BOUND FOR TROUBLE breaking stride. 

PARTY BLAZE – When negotiating the first turn was severely checked as a result of BOUND FOR TROUBLE breaking stride. 

BOUND FOR TROUBLE – When negotiating the first turn became unbalanced and broke stride.  A warning was issued.

CONSORT NZ – When negotiating the first turn was checked as a result of BOUND FOR TROUBLE breaking stride.  Post-race sample.

EL FRANCO DE – When negotiating the first turn was checked as a result of BOUND FOR TROUBLE breaking stride. 

 

RACE 5 – TAB.COM.AU PACE – 2170 metres

HIGHLANDS WARRIOR – Post-race sample.

MAJOR ALLEGIANCE – Had a tendency to over race throughout the event.

AWHOLELOTOFPRETTY – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the has not raced since July 2024.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Pre-race blood.  Over raced throughout the event.

 

RACE 6 – GLEN MIA (ACT) SADDLERY PACE – 1770 metres

BARKWAY THOMAS – Checked between the 500 and 400 metres as a result of SIR VINCENT yielding ground.

BULLI BELLE – Checked between the 500 and 350 metres when trailing SIR VINCENT who was yielding ground.

ROCK AN ROWA – Pre-race blood.  Leaving the 600 metres hung in locking wheels with CHOCOLATE DELIGHT.  Leaving the 300 metres became unbalanced and broke stride.  A warning was issued.

SIR VINCENT – Driver H Ross was questioned on the gelding’s overall performance.  After leading the event tired over the final 500 metres to finish in ninth position beaten 83.5 metres.  He stated he was disappointed in the overall performance although over racing due to contacting its own sulky wheel throughout the event.  The gelding will be stood down for one requalifying trial. 

SHEZA BETTOR GEM – Post-race sample.

VESPA STRIDE – Driver W Rixon was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to have his runner in position prior to the starting point. 

CHOCOLATE DELIGHT – Leaving the 600 metres was severely checked and broke stride after locking wheels with ROCK AN ROWA.

 

RACE 7 – AV STONE MARBLE & GRANITE PACE – 1770 metres

RIP JACKSON – Driver P McRae was queried on the gelding’s overall performance which failed to run on over the concluding stages to finish in ninth position beaten 28.3 metres.  He felt the gelding  was under pressure over the final 1000 metres, this may have been due to the speed of the race in the first half of the event.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

KOZACZYNSKI – Driver G Lee was questioned on the gelding’s overall performance which failed to run on over the concluding stages to finish in ten and last position beaten 65.9 metres.  He stated he was disappointed in the gelding’s overall performance but believed the fast tempo of the race proved detrimental to the gelding’s overall performance.  A warning was placed on KOZACZYNSKI’S racing manners.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

PLATINUMS BOY – Post-race sample.

PADDY MACH – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the gelding has had over 200 race starts and is also 12 years of age.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

SHE WHO DARES – Pre-race blood.  At the request of connections the mare will be placed back in the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

 

RACE 8 – LONSDALE AUTO ELECTRICS MAIDEN PACE – 1770 metres

MY FRIEND MOLLY – Turning into the back straight on the first occasion was checked when shifting wider to avoid BULL SHARK who had broke stride.

MOVINTOHELLANDBACK – Turning into the back straight on the first occasion was checked when shifting wider to avoid BULL SHARK who had broke stride.

SYNCOPATED SHUFFLE – Turning into the back straight on the first occasion shifted out  contacting  the front legs of BULL SHARK who was checked and broke.  As the shift from both runners was marginal  no further action was taken.

BULL SHARK – Turning into the back straight on the first occasion had a tendency to hang in contacting the sulky wheel of SYNCOPATED SHUFFLE and as a result broke stride.  As the shift from both runners was marginal no further action was taken.

RUSTY DANCER – Post-race sample.

TRUTHBETOLD – Pre-race blood.  Turning into the back straight on the first occasion was checked and broke stride as a result of BULL SHARK breaking stride.  Whilst galloping the off side hopple connecting strap broke.

SAPPHIRE BOY – On arrival at the track gelding was inspected by the on course veterinarian and showed to be  1/5 lame in the off side fore resulting in the gelding being declared a late scratching at 8.16pm.  Connections were advised the gelding would be required to submit a veterinary certificate and also be stood down for a period of 10 days.

JUDAH – Turning into the back straight on the first occasion was inconvenienced when BULL SHARK broke stride.  At the request of connections the gelding will be placed back in the mobile barrier draw in future starts.
