RACE 1 – MENANGLE PARK COMMUNITY PACE – 1609 metres
RAGING SEA – Pre-race blood sample.
PABLO ROCKS – Pre-race blood sample.
OUTSIDE FIGHTER – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding has competed in excess of 200 race starts. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Placed in restricted room upon entry to the first turn when FORCE FULL was shifted down the track causing OUTSIDE FIGHTER to make contact with the near side sulky wheel of that runner.
FORCE FULL – Driver Rickie Alchin was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that he shifted his runner down the track in the run to the first turn when not sufficiently clear of OUTSIDE FIGHTER causing that runner to make a contact with the near side sulky wheel of FORCE FULL. Stewards noted driver Rickie Alchin dropped his right foot from the sulky rest in the home straight when racing to the outside of MIKIBEQUICK which was shifting out under pressure.
MIKIBEQUICK – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight. After considering the recent record of the gelding a warning was issued. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 1609 metres
GUILTY PARTY – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.
PROMISING – Post-race swab sample.
CAULONIA COURAGE – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced when contacting the near side sulky wheel of WHERES THE GOLD NZ soon after entering the home straight when WHERES THE GOLD NZ locked wheels with HUTA NZ causing CAULONIA COURAGE to contact a number of maker pegs.
HUTA NZ – Inconvenienced and locked wheels with WHERES THE GOLD NZ soon after entry to the home straight. Stewards questioned driver Cameron Hart with regards to the gelding which started a pronounced favourite in the event and finished in fourth placing beaten four metres. Mr Hart advised Stewards that he was really happy with the performance of the gelding particularly after the extremely fast first half recorded by WHERES THE GOLD NZ. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. After considering the explanation provided by Mr Hart Stewards determined to note his comments.
DOM TORETTO NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
WHERES THE GOLD NZ – Hung out soon after entry to the home straight and when being corrected down the track by driver Jett Turnbull locked wheels with HUTA NZ momentarily causing both runners to be inconvenienced and as a result CAULONIA COURAGE contacted the near side sulky wheel of WHERES THE GOLD NZ and contacted a number of marker pegs. As a result of this incident WHERES THE GOLD NZ sustained a flat off side sulky tyre. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Stewards questioned driver Jett Turnbull with regards to the tactics he adopted in the first half of the event in addition to the overall performance of the gelding which finished in ninth placing beaten 21 metres. Mr Turnbull advised Stewards that the gelding had trialled really well in preparation for tonight’s event and it was the intention of the stable to try and lead however having been revved up to lead the event from the outside barrier the gelding continued to over race during the middle stages he believed that this, in addition to the flat tyre contributed to the performance of the gelding. Mr Turnbull added that they may look to drive the gelding more conservative where circumstances warrant. After considering the explanation provided by Mr Turnbull Stewards determined to note his comments.
RACE 3 – CORDINA CHICKEN FACTORY OUTLET PACE – 1609 metres
MONTEFIORE NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
IM ROCKIN IT – Hung out during the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. After considering the explanation provided by driver Robert Morris it was given its last chance to race truly. Hung in under pressure in the home straight.
GUEST ARTIST NZ – Driver Joshua Gallagher was fined $100 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position behind the mobile barrier prior to the start of the event.
CAPTAIN BLOOD – Pre-race blood sample. Driver Brian Portelli was fined $100 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position behind the mobile barrier prior to the start of the event.
RACE 4 – GRAHAM MCNEICE MEMORIAL – 1609 metres
UNFAZED NZ – Placed in restricted room upon entry to the first turn when PETES SAID SO NZ was shifted down the track.
CYA ART NZ – Placed in restricted room rounding the first turn when MAX DELIGHT was shifted down the track.
KANENA PROVLIMA – Trainer KerryAnn Morris was fined $100 under Rule 210 for failing the late notification of herself as the driver of the gelding. Pre-race blood sample.
PETES SAID SO NZ – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding has competed in excess of 200 race starts. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Driver Robert Morris was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that he shifted the gelding down the track to a position on the marker pegs when not sufficiently clear of UNFAZED NZ upon entry to the first turn.

KINGMAKER NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
MAX DELIGHT – Driver Will Rixon was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that rounding the first turn he shifted his runner down the track to a position in the running line when not sufficiently clear of CYA ART NZ causing that runner to be placed in restricted room momentarily. Improved three wide from the 1200 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres.
RACE 5 – CLUB MENANGLE NICK ROBIN FINAL (LISTED CLASSIC) – 1609 metres
JANIE BLU – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.
SKITTLE BOMB NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.
HES A MEISTER NZ – Post-race swab sample.
DOUGS FLAME – Pre-race blood sample. Improved three wide from the 1200 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 900 metres.
RACE 6 – ULTRA AIR PACE – 1609 metres
MACH DA VINCI NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
FRANCO TYSON – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running to the inside of ARGGGHHH approaching the 100 metres. Post-race swab sample.
ARGGGHHH – Worked forward to the lead approaching the 1200 metres. Shifted out under pressure.
DOUBLE ACT – Pre-race blood sample. Over raced during the middle stages of the event.
RACE 7 – BE HAPPY MACH @ WINGATE FARM TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300 metres
PROHIBITED LOVE – Trainer KerryAnn Morris was fined $100 under Rule 210 for the late notification of herself as the driver of the gelding. Tired over the concluding stages to finish in eighth placing beaten 62 metres. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to be lame in the off side fore and off side hind legs. Acting on the recommendations of the veterinary surgeon the gelding was stood down for a period of 10 days and the production of a veterinary certificate of clearance.
ITZFERGIETIME – Galloped out. After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued.

PESCO POLLO – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 8 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres
DELIGHTFUL STAR NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
GOLLY GEE FELLAS – Worked forward to the lead approaching the 1100 metres.
LUVARESCHS – Stewards questioned driver Joshua Gallagher with regards to the racing manners of the mare which over raced significantly during the early and middle stages of the event before giving ground over the concluding stages to finish in fifth placing beaten 45 metres. Mr Gallagher advised Stewards that the mare normally races keenly however tends to settle when able to find a helmet and given the small field this evening he found it difficult to restrain the mare in the early stages to a position with cover. Mr Gallagher further advised that they would look to make some gear changes to the mare prior to it racing again. After considering the recent record of the mare, it was given its last chance to race truly.
