RACE 1 – OSKAR MEMORIALS PACE– 1770 metres

HALLOWEEN- Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

SPORTS LINER- – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

GET US A TINNY – Displayed a tendency to hang in at various stages. Paced roughly approaching the 600 metres. Approaching the 500 metres was tightened when LOYOLA GOLF shifted out. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages.

SHE WHO DARES- Post-race swab sample.

LOYOLA GOLF – Driver James Locke was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for permitting his runner to shift out approaching the 500 metres, tightening GET US A TINNY. Mr Locke was also fined $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip with more than a wrist‑only flicking motion in the concluding stages.

RACE 2 LERIDA ESTATE WINERY PACETHE COUNTY SHERIFF – 1770 metres

SHEZA BETTOR GEM- Post-race swab sample.

GEOFFREY BEE- Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

ABERCROMBIE FLASH- Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

RACE 3 – GLEN MIA (ACT) SADDLERY PACE 1770 metres

ABERCROMBIE ART-Driver Scott Osmond was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 9th placing, beaten 46 metres. Mr Osmond explained that the horse travelled well until the 600 metres but was disappointing thereafter. He added that, in discussion with trainer Errol Cochrane, they believed the gelding may have lacked fitness given it was resuming from a lengthy break. Post‑race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. In view of the beaten margin, a warning was issued.

MODERN SHEEN- Hung Out in the early stages of the race.

WARRAWEE CRUZIN- Post-race swab sample.

THE TALK- Over raced throughout the middle stages of the race.

ELECTRA GIRL- Pre-race blood sample. Locked Wheels with SNEAK A PEAK NZ passing the 1400 metres.

SNEAK A PEAK NZ- As a result of ROCK STEADY shifting in approaching the 1400 metres SNEAK A PEAK NZ was checked losing its rightful position. Passing the 1400 metres  SNEAK A PEAK NZ locking wheels with ELECTRA GIRL due to the consequences of this incident and the speed of the event easing.

CANT HEAR YOU- Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding last race being over 6months ago. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. 

ROCK STEADY-Driver Melissa Hawke pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for allowing her runner to shift in at the 1400 metres, checking SNEAK A PEAK NZ. Miss Hawke’s licence to drive was suspended for 7 days. In assessing penalty, Stewards considered her plea of guilt, overall driving record, and the racing manners of ROCK STEADY.

 

RACE 4 – WATTYS RURAL & DOMESTIC FENCING PACE – 1770 metres

PLAYFULL MISS- Pre-race blood sample. Over raced during the middle stages. Driver Jett TURNBULL was questioned regarding the performance of PLAYFUL MISS which finished in 6^th place ($2.50 fav). Mr Turnbull explained that the fast first quarter may have contributed to the mares disappointing run over the concluding stages.

OUR ULTIMATE BONNY- Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

PLATINUMS BOY- Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 5 – O'SULLIVAN ELECTRICAL PACE 1770 metres

MAJOR ALLEGIANCE- Galloped out, resulting in American HAMMER NZ being check after the start. A warning was issued

POSH FELLA NZ- Pre-race blood sample. Contacted marker pegs approaching the 200 metres. Post-race swab sample.

AMERICAN HAMMER NZ- Checked shortly after the start when Major ALLIGIANCE Galloped Out.

TROUBLE IN HEAVEN- Over raced during the middle stages.

 

RACE 6 – AV STONE MARBLE & GRANITE PACE – 1770 metres

OUTBACK TINTIN- Broke shortly after the start and raced greenly before breaking again later in the event. Driver Scott Osmond was advised the gelding will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw and must complete two satisfactory trials and serve a 14‑day stand down before racing again.

ROYAL FOCUS- Shift out approaching the 400 metres.

MACHX THE STANGER- Pre-race blood sample.

BOUND FOR TROUBLE- - Momentarily inconvenienced passing the 400 metres when ROYAL FOCUS shifted out, which resulted in BOUND FOR TROUBLE being directed wider.

SYENITE- Checked shortly after the start when OUTBACKTIN broke stride. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages.

OAK RIDGE – Benefited when BOUND FOR TROUBLE was inconvenienced and shifted wider, enabling OAK RIDGE to secure a run between runners passing the 400 metres. Post‑race swab sample.

SYENITE- Checked shortly after the start when OUTBACKTIN broke stride. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages.

RUSTY DANCER- Momentarily inconvenienced passing the 400 metres when ROYAL FOCUS shifted out.

 

RACE 7 TAB.COM MAIDEN PACE 2170m  

ROCK WHAT YOU ARE- Pre-race blood sample.

MISTER WELLS- Raced greenly throughout the race.  Post-race swab sample.

ROCK AN ROWA- Broke stride approaching the 1900 metres, checking ANGLEIC ATTITUDE. Driver John Ogden was advised that ROCK AN ROWA will now be stood down for 1 qualifying trial.

ANGELIC ATTITUDE- Hung out during the score‑up and, as a consequence of breaking stride, was out of position at the start. A warning was issued. Approaching the 1900 metres the filly was checked and broke gait when ROCK AN ROWA broke stride. ANGELIC ATTITUDE was subsequently retired from the event. A post‑race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
