RACE 3 – TURNERS FURNITURE ONE PACE – 1720 metres

GOODTIME JAZZI – Post-race urine sample.  Furthermore a three hour post-race blood sample was also collected.

INGERMARLA – Driver T Johnson pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 149(2) for an unacceptable drive. When turning into the back straight on the first occasion has allowed her runner to shift to a three wide position affording GOODTIME JAZZI the opportunity to shift from the marker line and gain an advantage to work forward to the lead and eventually win the race.  When unable to obtain her original position in the running line INGERMARLA was obliged to be restrained to the tail of the field and was unable to obtain clear racing room in the run to the finish and was not fully tested.  When considering Miss Johnson’s guilty plea and her record in relation to this rule her licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of six weeks.  This suspension is to commence at midnight Tuesday, 11 November 2025.

HUMMING TOP – Pre-race blood.

BLUES TERROR – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the gelding has had over 200 race starts.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

RACE 5 – POPPA’S FUDGE FACTORY PACE – 2100 metres

GENERAL – Prior to all clear, Driver J Turnbull viewed the available race day footage to ascertain if MERRYWOOD MARY had grounds to lodge an objection against first past the post AMERIKIN RUNA as a result of runners locking wheels approaching the 200 metres.  After viewing the available footage Stewards considered a objection lodged by J Turnbull the driver of second place MERRYWOOD MARY against AMERIKIN RUNA first past the post alleging interference between the 400 and 200 metres.  After taking evidence from both drivers and viewing the available footage Stewards concluded when leaving the 400 metres  MERRYWOOD MARY was shifted wider when AMERIKIN RUNA shifted out, approaching the 200 metres MERRYWOOD MARY has shifted down the track contributing to both runners being checked when locking wheels.  Once the wheels became disengaged Stewards believed that both runners had a clear and unimpeded run to the finish and considering the way both runners finished the race off and the half neck margin Stewards believe that if this incident had not occurred that MERRYWOOD MARY would not have finished in front of AMERIKIN RUNA and as such the protest was dismissed and all clear was given on the judge’s numbers of 3, 1, 6 and 9.

MERRYWOOD MARY – Approaching the 200 metres was checked when locking wheels with AMERIKIN RUNA.  Unsuccessfully protested against first place getter AMERIKIN RUNA.

AMERIKIN RUNA – Pre-race blood.  Leaving the 400 metres raced rough for a short distance shifting out.  Approaching the 200 metres was checked when locking wheels with MERRYWOOD MARY.  Withstood protest off second place getter MERRYWOOD MARY.  Post-race sample.

OLIVER SHARK – Gave ground over the final 400 metres to finish in eighth and last position beaten 33.3 metres.

DARKNDUSTY – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the mare has not started since June 2023.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

RACE 6 – AUSTRALIAN HOTEL PACE – 2100 metres

BOY STUNNER – Broke stride in the middle stages of the score up causing a false start.  The gelding then broke in the early stages of the score up on the second occasion and as a result was out of position at the start.  The gelding will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

ILLUSTRATION – Driver O Arentz was queried on the perceived improved performance of the gelding.  He stated from a good barrier draw elected to work forward to the lead where the gelding has won its only start when leading the event and with this being the third run for the stable the gelding has improved with racing.  He further added that the gelding has had a change of work since its last start at West Wyalong on the 19 October 2025.

TAMLIGHT GOODTIME – Pre-race blood.

MONDO GLITZ – Trainer/driver N Hurst stated that the gelding was unable to obtain the lead  and when racing outside the leader and over racing was detrimental to its overall performance to finish in seventh position beaten 16.7 metres.

ILEANA – Post-race sample.

RACE 7 – TRIMECH PACE – 2100 metres

BARKWAY THOMAS – When leading the event had a tendency to hang in and contacted marker pegs.  Post-race sample.

MAXX – Pre-race blood.

MAGGIE MOTH – Had a tendency to hang out in the early stages of the score up.  Trainer/driver M Hardy stated the filly was a recent addition in his stable and believed it may not have backed up from its recent start at Young on 7 November 2025 contributing to the disappointing performance in tonight's event.

WARRAWEES SHOUT – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the gelding has not raced since April 2024.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Leaving the 600 metres became unbalanced and broke stride.  The gelding will be stood down for one requalifying trial.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have superficial lacerations to the inside of both hind fetlocks.
