RACE 1 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1980 metres

SENTIMENTAL VALUE – Tired to be beaten in excess of 100m and was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

SHEZZA BEAUTY – Post-race sample.

NEED SOME AIR – Inconvenienced at the 1300m when ELLEZIE galloped in advance.

SPOOKY ART – Inconvenienced at the 1300m when ELLEZIE galloped in advance.

HEAVENLY TURBO – Checked at the 1300m when ELLEZIE galloped.

ELLEZIE – Galloped clear of interference at the 1300m, checking HEAVENLY TURBO. NEED SOME AIR and SPOOKY ART were inconvenienced. A warning was issued against the racing manners of ELLEZIE.

DRIVING MISS MOLLY – Inconvenienced at the 1300m when ELLEZIE galloped in advance.

WAITPINGA REACTOR – Pre-race sample. Over-raced during the early and middle stages when leading. Driver B Hughes explained that WAITPINGA REACTOR pulled hard behind the mobile barrier when contacting its own sulky wheels. Mr Hughes added that after being able to work forward from the second row to lead the event in the early stages WAITPINGA REACTOR settled well in front. However, in the vicinity of the 1600m when challenged by SLICK AND SUAVE the gelding began to over-race fiercely. Mr Hughes explained that after it became apparent that the gelding was not going to settle, he allowed his drive to progress forward whilst over-racing, also being mindful not to allow WAITPINGA REACTOR to possibly choke down. Mr Hughes stated given the manners shown by his drive and the tactics that were required to be used due to the racing manners of WAITPINGA REACTOR, it finished the race off well. Mr Hughes stated that he was of the opinion had the race been over a shorter distance his drive may have held on to win however was beaten by a runner which had a more favourable run along the peg line. Mr Hughes added that WAITPINGA REACTOR finished in advance of all other runners. In assessing the racing manners of the gelding, it was placed on its last chance to race truly.

 

RACE 2 – THINKING OF YOU – JO TOTE PACE – 1609 metres

SAFE JEWELS – Held up for clear racing room rounding the final turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

BELLRIVERGIRL – Pre-race sample.

THREE PARTS GREY – Held up for clear racing room rounding the final turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

EYES BEEN PATIENT – Post-race sample. Paced roughly under pressure over the concluding stages.

 

RACE 3 – MULTIQUIP TRANSPORT PACE – 1609 metres

SPEARHEAD – Post-race sample.

TACKAS PRINCESS – Pre-race sample.

DOUBLE LINES – Held up for clear racing room rounding the final turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

 

RACE 4 – SOUTHGATE INN TAMWORTH PACE – 1609 metres

YOGI – Post-race sample.

BRING YOUR BEST – Pre-race sample.

 

RACE 5 – STOCKMANS SUPPLIES – FARRIER EQUIPMENT PACE – 1980 metres

GIRLSGOTCURLS – Inconvenienced leaving the 400m when tightened between SWEET ROCKY, which shifted out and TIGERMAC which hung in.

ONETANGI GIRL NZ – Presented on-course 4 hours prior to start time in accordance with the HRNSW Elevated TCO2 Policy. Pre-race sample. Post-race sample. 

SWEET ROCKY – Galloped in the score up, however regained its barrier position at the start. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of SWEET ROCKY. Shifted out leaving the 400m tightening the racing room of GIRLSGOTCURLS to the outside.

LACHIES GAMBLE – Galloped in the score up, however regained its barrier position at the start. LACHIES GAMBLE was placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw.

ANNIE CROCKER – Out of position in the score up and at the start despite the efforts of driver C McElhinney. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of ANNIE CROCKER.

JOE BY THE SEASIDE NZ – Inconvenienced leaving the 800m when GIRLSGOTCURLS began to race ungenerously when racing in advance in the running line.  

TIGERMAC – Inconvenienced leaving the 800m when GIRLSGOTCURLS began to race ungenerously in the running line. Forced to race four wide during the latter stages of the event when JOE BY THE SEASIDE NZ shifted into a three wide position leaving the 700m. In assessing the matter stewards were mindful that when JOE BY THE SEASIDE NZ did shift wider it was clear to do so, however given the speed in which TIGERMAC was improving it resulted in it racing to the outside of JOE BY THE SEASIDE NZ. Hung in leaving the 400m tightening the racing room of GIRLSGOTCURLS, when racing to the inside.

 

RACE 6 – FARRAR SECURITY SERVICE PACE – 1980 metres

ROCKET BOY – Tired to be beaten 92m after racing outside of the leader throughout. A post-race veterinary examination of ROCKET BOY revealed a slower than normal recovery. In assessing the performance, the gelding was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

ULTIMATE TROUBLE – Pre-race sample. Galloped in the score up and veered in causing interference to second row runners. A false start was declared as a result. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of ULTIMATE TROUBLE.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Post-race sample. Held up for clear racing room rounding the final turn and in the early stages of home straight.

GROSESTAR – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages and unable to fully tested in the run to the finish.

 

RACE 7 – RADIO 88.9FM NEW ENGLAND NORTHWEST PACE – 1980 metres

General – No claims were lodged for any runner.

BUSHY BEACH NZ – Post-race sample.

HE SAID SHE SAID – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Pre-race sample. Held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages and unable to fully tested in the run to the finish.

TRALEE SNICKAS – Held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages and unable to fully tested in the run to the finish.

CHEDDAR VALLEY NZ – Held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages and unable to fully tested in the run to the finish.

 

RACE 8 – CLUB AGM – MONDAY 17TH NOVEMBER PACE – 1609 metres

General – No claims were lodged.

RACING PAULA – Pre-race sample. Checked racing down the back straight on the final occasion when ROCKTAGONAL commenced to give ground.
