RACE 1 – O’SULLIVAN ELECTRICAL MAIDEN PACE – 1770 metres
JAKRYAN – Pre-race blood sample.
INTHEBLINKOFANEYE – Due to over racing throughout the event gave ground over the final 300 metres to finish in 7th position beaten 45 metres.
ANGELIC ATTITUDE – Leaving the 1400 metres became unbalanced and broke stride. A warning was issued.
SYNCOPATED SHUFFLE – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 2 – AV STONE MARBLE & GRANITE PACE – 1770 metres
BETTING ON COURAGE – Turning into the home straight with a lap to go raced rough for a short distance then broke stride. The gelding then raced rough under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion. The gelding will be given its last chance to race truly. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
LETSTACOBOUTIT – Pre-race blood sample.
SUNNYWITHACHANCE – Negotiating the first turn became unbalanced and broke stride. A warning was issued. Driver M Johnson stated he had trouble when releasing the hopple shorteners with only one pin being released resulting in the mare performing below expectations. He further added he may look to freshen the mare up in the coming weeks. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
IDEAL TAO – Checked at the 900 metres as a result of BETTING ON COURAGE pacing roughly. Post-race swab sample.
LOYOLA GOLF - Checked at the 900 metres as a result of BETTING ON COURAGE pacing roughly.
RACE 3 – WATTYS RURAL & DOMESTIC FENCING PACE – 1770 metres
CHOCOLATE DELIGHT – Leaving the 1000 metres had a tendency to hang in and contact marker pegs.
SHE WHO DARES – Post-race swab sample.
SYENITE – Pre-race blood sample.
MAJOR HUSS – A pre and post-race veterinary examination as the gelding has had over 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.
RACE 4 – LERIDA ESTATE WINERY PACE – 1770 metres
CLASSIC ARC - A pre and post-race veterinary examination as the gelding has had over 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination. Post-race swab sample.
PLAYING FOR KEEPS – Leaving the 700 metres had a tendency to hang in when being placed under pressure.
SHEZA BETTOR GEM – Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 5 – OSKAR MEMORIALS PACE – 1770 metres
RUSTY DANCER – Broke stride in the latter stages of the score up causing a false start. A warning was issued.
CONSORT NZ – Hung out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion resulting in MR WELLS being inconvenienced. A warning was issued.
MARYVILLE ALFIE – Post-race swab sample.
TWO BLUES BLING – Driver S Hewitt stated the mare over raced and failed to settle when being retrained to the tail of the field contributing to the mare tiring over the final 400 metres to finish in 9th position beaten 86 metres. Connections were advised the mare will have to requalify on one occasion prior to racing.
BOUND FOR TROUBLE – Pre-race blood sample. Leaving the 300 metres became unbalanced and broke stride. Due to the filly’s recent record, she will be required to requalify on one occasion.
MR WELLS – Inconvenienced as a result of CONSORT NZ hanging out in the home straight on the final occasion.
RACE 6 – GLEN MIA (ACT) SADDLERY PACE – 2170 metres
SNEAK A PEEK NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
ORAMA – Racing under pressure broke stride at the 150 metres. A warning was issued.
ALWAYS BE BRENDAN – Post-race swab sample.
PHAR LUME NZ – Driver J Turnbull stated he was disappointed in the mare’s overall performance and could give no reasonable explanation. Due to being beaten 120.1 metres the mare will be stood down for one requalifying trial.
ROCK STEADY – Tired over the final 500 metres to finish in 7th position beaten 87.3 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near side hind leg. Connections were advised the gelding will be required to requalify on one occasion and must also submit a veterinary clearance prior to racing.
RACE 7 – TAB.COM PACE – 1770 metres
JOETOMO – Post-race swab sample.
DORRISTOPAYTHEBILL – Pre-race blood sample.
KICKATINALONGPONY – Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.
