RACE 1 – BE HAPPY MACH @ WINGATE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

SMOOTH BUZZ – Hung in under pressure.

DONEGAL LUTHER NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

NYACK – Pre-race blood sample.  Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 900 metres.

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 2300 metres

SPIRIT OF ARION NZ – Broke stride free of interference passing the 600 metres checking LOYALIST NZ and FIRE FOX NZ.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

MIKIBEQUICK – Stewards questioned driver Brad Hewitt with regards to the performance of the gelding.  Mr Hewitt advised Stewards that in his opinion the gelding had raced a little under par albeit was racing up in class and having its first run over the longer 2300 metres.  A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  After considering the explanation of Mr Hewitt, Stewards determined to note his comments.

DOUBLE FEAR – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 200 metres.

FRANCO TYSON – Pre-race blood sample. 

HELLUVA NZ – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1900 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

LOYALIST NZ – Checked passing the 600 metres when SPIRIT OF ARION NZ broke stride. 

FIRE FOX NZ – Checked passing the 600 metres when SPIRIT OF ARION NZ broke stride. 

WESTERN STYLE – Pre-race blood sample.  Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding had not competed in previous 12 months.  The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  Back in the mobile barrier draw.

RACE 3 – MENANGLE PARK COMMUNITY PACE – 1609 metres

RAGING SEA – Fractious during the score up.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was given its last chance in the mobile barrier draw.

HES A MEISTER NZ – Pre-race blood sample. 

FEAR THE PAIN NZ – Contacted marker pegs when improving to the inside of MYNAMESEVAN in the home straight.  Post-race swab sample.

MISTER BLUECHIP – Broke stride during the score up.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

MYNAMESEVAN – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres.

FOR ALWAYS ARDEN NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Improved three wide from the 1100 metres until obtaining a position outside the leader passing the 700 metres.

RACE 4 – AINSWORTH GAME TECHNOLOGY PACE – 2300 metres

MICHAYWEY – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.

NEW YORKER – Pre-race blood sample.  Held up through the middle stages of the home straight.

FORCE FULL – Post-race swab sample.

OUR GEORGE BOSTON – Pre-race blood sample.  Worked forward to the lead passing the 1900 metres.

RACE 5 – CLUB MENANGLE SUE KELLY LADYSHIP STAKES (LISTED CLASSIC) – 1609 metres

OURSURFINSAFARI – Pre-race blood sample.  Slow to begin.  Broke stride free of interference passing the 500 metres.  After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued.

SHEZ SWEET LOUISE NZ – Driver Isobel Ross was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that passing the 200 metres she permitted her runner to shift up the track following the leader ALFNALMA when not sufficiently clear of PANDAIA NZ which was racing to her outside causing that runner to be placed in restricted room to the inside of NO DRAMAS and as a result was inconvenienced and raced roughly.

ALFNALMA – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres.

NO DRAMAS – Pre-race blood sample.

PANDAIA NZ – Trainer Rickie Alchin was fined $100 under Rule 210 for the late notification of Chris Geary as the driver of the mare. Placed in restricted room and was inconvenienced and raced roughly passing the 200 metres when SHEZ SWEET LOUISE NZ was shifted wider on the track following the leader ALFNALMA.

LUX AETERNA – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1100 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

RACE 6 – FARMER JOES WHOLESALE PACE – 1609 metres

LOYAL LOU NZ – Hung in and contacted marker pegs between the 500 metres and the 400 metres.

CYNICAL – Post-race swab sample.

BETTORLIGHTEM UP – Pre-race blood sample. 

BUSINESS IN HEAVEN – Driver Jye Coney was fined $100 under Rule 162(1)(y) for failing to adhere to the minimal sectionals through the second quarter of the event.

WITHDISTINCTION – Hung out and over raced between the 1200 metres and the 900 metres.  After considering the recent record of the gelding a warning was issued.

CATCHAFIRE NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Gave ground over the concluding stages.

RACE 7 – SUCCESS STUD EQUINE BREEDING TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

MACHO MAN – Broke stride free of interference passing the 300 metres.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was stood down for a period of 10 days and until the completion of two requalifying trials.

HOT TO TROT NZ – Trainer Troy Williams was fined $100 under Rule 210 for the late notification of Seaton Grima as the driver of the gelding, Pre-race blood sample.  Hung in under pressure between the 600 metres and the 400 metres and as a result gave ground over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. 

PESCO POLLO – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1100 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

SHEETWEB WEAVER – Checked behind HOT TO TROT NZ between the 600 metres and the 400 metres when that runner hung in under pressure and gave ground.

SPEEDY LOVER – Pre-race blood sample.  Broke stride free of interference passing the 700 metres.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

RACE 8 – WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP PACE – 1609 metres

METALLICA MAN – Gave ground over the concluding stages.

SCARED STIFF NZ – Driver Jackson Painting momentarily dropped his right foot from the sulky rest passing the 200 metres.

HEAVENLY REASON – Pre-race blood sample.

MISTER TEDDY NZ – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres.

RIVERA LOU – Pre-race blood sample. 

TITIAN RAIDER – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before finding a position in the running line passing the 1100 metres.  Improved three wide from the 1000 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 900 metres.  Post-race swab sample.
