RACE 1 – GOULBURN HAY SUPPLIES MAIDEN PACE – 1710 metres

The start of this event was delayed to allow for an adjustment to the sulky foot rest on CHASIN YOU.

STAY STRONG – Broke during the middle stages of the score up, and after shifting in abruptly, was out of position at the start as a consequence. A warning was placed on the record of STAY STRONG.

REAL TEMPTATION – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

ELLE ARE EM – Broke during the score up, was out of position at the start and a warning was issued.

TOKOLOSHE – Inconvenienced rounding the final turn until securing clear running approaching the 150 metres.

 

RACE 2 – HOLLINGWORTH CRANE HIRE SERVICE TROTTERS MOBILE – 1710 metres

JINAN – Held up rounding the home turn and the early part of the straight.

RIOTERRA – Pre-race blood sample.

ONE PINEVALE HILL – Broke clear of interference passing the 400 metres inconveniencing ORIA. Given the recent poor record of ONE PINEVALE HILL the mare will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards.

MAJORETTE NZ – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 124 metres. A post-race veterinary examination of MAJORETTE NZ failed to reveal any significant findings. Connections were advised the filly will now be stood down from racing for a period of 10 days and until the satisfactory completion of two trials due to its recent poor record.

ORIA – Inconvenienced passing the 400 metres when ONE PINEVALE HILL broke gait.

 

RACE 3 – SUN SOLUTIONS HOME IMPROVEMENT GOULBURN 2YO MAIDEN PACE – 1710 metres

The start of this event was delayed slightly when a gear change was attempted to be affected on AFTERSHOCK, however was aborted when the gelding became fractious. 

BIG FROST – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 90 metres and will now be placed on its last chance to race truly. In not taking more severe action against BIG FROST Stewards were mindful of the relatively fast third quarter (27.4 seconds) and the extremely windy conditions which were prevailing.

OUR ECLIPSE STARZZ – Hung in shortly after the start. Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 90 metres and will now be placed on its last chance to race truly. In not taking more severe action against OUR ECLIPSE STARZZ Stewards were mindful of the relatively fast third quarter (27.4 seconds) and the extremely windy conditions which were prevailing.

SHADILANE – Broke shortly after the start and as the gelding was having its second race start will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.

LAST LEXUS – Pre-race blood sample.

AFTERSHOCK – Post-race swab sample.

LETS FLY WITH ME – Paced roughly at various stages before giving ground inside the final 500 metres to be beaten in excess of 54 metres.

MIDNIGHT BREEZE – Broke clear of interference passing the 1300 metres and as the filly was having its first race start will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards.

MISS TAPDANCE – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 88 metres. MISS TAPDANCE will now be placed on its last chance to race truly. In not taking more severe action against MISS TAPDANCE Stewards were mindful of the relatively fast third quarter (27.4 seconds) and the extremely windy conditions which were prevailing.

 

RACE 4 – DAYS INDUSTRIAL PACE – 1710 metres

The start of this event was delayed avoiding a clash with Race 4 from Cairns.

MODERN SHEEN – Driver Owen Shea was questioned regarding the tactics adopted on the mare in particular his decision to improve forward and attempt to maintain the position outside the leader EYEDIDNTLOSEIT when MICTON MOUSE improved 3 wide approaching the 1000 metres. Mr Shea explained he had been instructed to attempt to lead and if not able to lead to obtain the position outside the leader as MODERN SHEEN was somewhat one paced and connections felt the mare had performed favourably when driven in a similar manner recently. Mr Shea further added he was also mindful that MODERN SHEEN was dropping in class slightly in today’s event. Mr Shea added as MICTON MOUSE improved to his outside he initially attempted to improve to the inside of that runner however as it became apparent MICTON MOUSE would continue to progress forward he then took cover on that runner shortly after. Upon consideration of the tactics adopted Stewards recorded the explanation provided by Mr Shea and advised him in future he may be better served to be positioned outside the leader so as not to give the impression that the position is easily obtainable if it’s not his intention to surrender.

EYEDIDNTLOSEIT – Post-race swab sample.

BENTLY BULLET – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 5 – THE POSTHOUSE MOTEL PACE – 1710 metres

The start of this event was delayed due to a gear adjustment being required on IM MAJOR TOMMY NZ when the gelding had a nose veil fitted which protruded beyond the nostrils and was required to be removed.

MISTER WELLS – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

MISTER CRUNCH – Broke clear of interference passing the 1500 metres and a warning was issued.

IM MAJOR TOMMY NZ – Driver Sebastian Piltz was questioned regarding the tactics adopted on the gelding and the overall performance of IM MAJOR TOMMY NZ which finished in 8th placing beaten 26 metres ($2.90 fav). Mr Piltz explained he was instructed to lead if possible and should the opportunity present to surrender the lead to a favourable runner. Mr Piltz added he made more use of IM MAJOR TOMMY NZ during the early stages to secure the lead than he had anticipated and when HEZA CASANOVA, who he viewed to be a favourable runner, was positioned to his outside approaching the 1100 metres he elected to surrender the lead. Mr Piltz added after obtaining cover from HEZA CASANOVA, IM MAJOR TOMMY NZ travelled strongly, however proved disappointing inside the final 400 metres. A post-race veterinary examination of IM MAJOR TOMMY NZ failed to reveal any significant findings.  On the available evidence Stewards recorded Mr Piltz’s explanation.

HEZA CASANOVA – Inconvenienced passing the 1500 metres when MISTER CRUNCH broke gait.

PAD THAI - Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 50 metres.

 

RACE 6 – GOULBURN HAY SUPPLIES PACE – 1710 metres

The start of this event was delayed avoiding a class with Race 6 from cairns.

SYENITE – Driver Matthew Atkinson explained that whilst the gelding over raced during the early stages of the event the hopple shortener cord had become entangled and he was concerned that should he not attempt to rectify this issue it may become entangled with the horse’s hind leg and pose a safety risk. Mr Atkinson added when attempting to rectify this issue SYENITE improved forward and made contact with the inside sulky wheel of ILEANA approaching the 1200 metres but then he was able to restrain the gelding and obtain the position immediately following ILEANA. Mr Atkinson added the opposite hopple shortener release cord became entangled shortly after where he then attempted to rectify this issue and consequently SYENITE, whilst over racing, shifted out and made contact with the outside sulky wheel of ILEANA and inconvenienced TUFFASOLDBOOTS which was following and also ROSES ARE BEST. Upon consideration of the available evidence, Stewards were satisfied the racing manners of SYENITE and the gear malfunction were significant contributing factors to this incident and further having regard to Mr Atkinson’s driving inexperience took the matter no further. A warning was subsequently placed on the record of SYENITE for over racing.

BETTING ON COURAGE – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 100 metres. A post-race veterinary examination of BETTING ON COURAGE failed to reveal any significant findings and the gelding will now be required to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards.

ILEANA – Retired form the event shortly after passing the 900 metres due to the filly sustaining a flat outside tyre. Driver Taylah Osmond was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the 1500 metres she permitted ILEANA to shift in momentarily tightening SYENITE.

ROSES ARE BEST – Pre-race blood sample.

MARYVILLE ALFIE – Post-race swab sample.

NIFTY AMBITION – Over raced significantly shortly after the start and progressed forward against the efforts of its driver.

TUFFASOLDBOOTS – Inconvenienced approaching the 1100 metres when SYENITE shifted in.

 

RACE 7 – ASPIRE TRAFFIC OFFENDER COURSE PACE – 1710 metres

SHARK DANCER – Pre-race blood sample. Driver Sebastian Piltz pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that approaching the 300 metres he permitted SHARK DANCER to shift out taking MAC THUNDER out onto SKY CITY NZ resulting in CONSORT NZ making contact with the sulky of SKY CITY NZ and being checked and breaking gait. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account the HRNSW Penalty Guidelines, placing particular weight on Mr Piltz’s guilty plea, his recent offence record and the circumstances of the incident. Stewards accordingly imposed a 10 day suspension of his licence to drive in races which was ordered to commence midnight 4 December 2025.

SLYX NZ – Hung in shortly after the start and lost ground resulting in CONSORT NZ being checked. Shifted out approaching the 500 metres when its driver activated removable gear resulting in CONSORT NZ obtaining a clear run to its inside. A warning was placed on the record of SLYX NZ. A post-race veterinary examination of SLYX NZ revealed the gelding to have blood present in the left nostril. An endoscopic examination was subsequently conducted oncourse which revealed this did not originate from the lungs and in accordance with Rule 101B(2) no further action was taken.

SKY CITY NZ – Tightened passing the 300 metres when SHARK DANCER shifted out.

CANT HEAR YOU – Broke during the score up, was out of position at the start and played no further competitive part in the event. A warning was issued.

CLASSIC ARC – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations which did not reveal any significant findings due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races. Post-race swab sample.

LOYAL LOU NZ – Driver Seaton Grima was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 8th placing beaten 47 metres ($2.20 fav). Mr Grima explained LOYAL LOU NZ failed to travel at any stage when leading and proved most disappointing from the 400 metres onwards. A post-race veterinary examination of LOYAL LOU NZ failed to reveal any significant findings. Given the beaten margin (47 metres), LOYAL LOU NZ will now be required to the satisfaction of Stewards before racing again.

REFUSAL – Checked passing the 300 metres as a result of SHARK DANCER shifting out.

MAC THUNDER - Checked passing the 300 metres as a result of SHARK DANCER shifting out.

CONSORT NZ – Checked and broke passing the 300 metres as a result of making contact with the sulky of SKY CITY NZ.

 

RACE 8 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 2240 metres

UNCLE JAY – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races. These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.

BANKSY NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

SIREN SEA – Post-race swab sample.

ARK ALERT – Harrison Ross was approved as a late driver change replacing Haylee Day who was indisposed. A medical clearance will be required prior to Ms Day returning to race driving again.

 

RACE 9 – GOULBURN SOLDIERS CLUB WARATAH HEAT 1710 metres

DEAD EYE TIKI – Driver Jett Turnbull was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 9th and second last placing beaten 21 metres ($4.60). Mr Turnbull explained DEAD EYE TIKI was rising in class in tonight’s event, and he also felt the quick back up from the gelding’s most recent run at Dubbo 21 November 2025 was a contributing factor.
