RACE 1 – PARKES FORS/KIA PACE – 1660 metres

LADY ROCKABELLUM – Leaving the 200 metres hung in and contacted marker pegs.

GLENN FORD NZ – A pre and post-race veterinary examination as the gelding has had over 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination. Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

SAUCEY TOOTH – Negotiating the first turn raced roughly for a short distance.

HOLME BOY – Leaving the 200 metres hung in contacting marker pegs.

MAGIC TULHURST – Pre-race blood sample. Over raced throughout the event.

 

RACE 2 – COACHMAN HOTEL PACE – 1660 metres

YA RACIN BELLA – Pre-race blood sample. Gave ground over the final 300 metres to finish in 9th position beaten 99.6 metres. Trainer A Williams stated the filly to be out of grade in tonight’s event and the fast tempo of the race were the contributing factors in the overall performance. Considering the filly is a new addition to the stable YA RACING BELLA will be required to requalify on one occasion. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

STUDLEIGH STARLITE – Trainer/Driver Jake Davis stated the mare was unable to find a position in the running line in the early stages and as a result was restrained to the tail of the field and with the fast tempo of the race when placed under pressure failed to run on. His comments were noted.

NOBLE JULIA – Gave ground over the final 900 metres to be beaten a considerable distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have had a bilateral bled from both nostrils resulting in the mare to be stood down for a period of 3 months and must also requalify one on occasion and must submit a veterinary clearance before racing or trialling.

BURRABADINE BULLET – Post-race swab sample.

HAZZA IS WATCHING – Broke stride in the early stages of the score up. A warning was issued.

 

RACE 3 – C & S STOCKFEEDS PACE – 2040 metres

MOTHER WAS A MUDDA – Made contact with the barrier arm in the final stages of the score and as a result ZOLTON was inconvenienced.

HUDSON RIVER – Fractious when leaving the circle resulting in the gelding being slow to score up. A warning was issued. Trainer/Driver N Hurst could give no reasonable explanation for the gelding tiring over the final 300 metres to be beaten 37.3 metres. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

SHEZ A PUNTER – Broke stride in the middle stages of the score up. A warning was issued. Approaching the 100 metres when shifting wider to obtain clear running became unbalanced and broke stride. A warning was issued.

WINDY HILL LUCY – Post-race swab sample.

ZOLTON – Inconvenienced in the latter stages of the score up and raced rough for a short distance when MOTHER WAS A MUDDA made contact to the barrier arm. As there was no material effect to where the gelding settled in the early stages of the event no further action was taken.

WILLIES DOLLAR – Pre-race blood sample. A pre-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near side front foot and as a result was declared a late scratching at 7.01pm on veterinary advice. Connections were advised the mare would be stood down for a period of 10 days and must also submit a veterinary clearance prior to racing.

 

RACE 4 – PARKES LEAGUES CLUB 3YO PACE – 1660 metres

SERGEANT STRINGER – Post-race blood sample.

SWEET SWEET TOOTH – When negotiating the first turn raced roughly for a short distance.

STUDLEIGH SUNRISE – Broke stride after the start was effected. A warning was issued.

KEAYANG MEMORY – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 5 – QUICKSHINE CARWASH 2YO COLTS & GELDINGS PACE – 1660 metres

STRANGER EFFECT – When negotiating the first turn had a tendency to hang out becoming unbalanced and breaking stride. Several runners were checked as a result of the colt shifting wider on the track after breaking stride. A warning was placed on his racing manners.

WIT WICKEE – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

STUDLEIGH TITANIUM – Checked and broke at the 500 metres as a result of STORMY MAL breaking gait.

ROCK SPIRIT – Negotiating the first turn was checked when STRANGER EFFECT broke stride and shifted out. Furthermore the gelding was checked at the 500 metres when shifting wider to avoid STORMY MAL which had broke stride.

MICKILLATIGER – Negotiating the first turn was checked and broke as a result of STRANGER EFFECT shifting out.

SAINT GUTHO - Negotiating the first turn was checked as a result of STRANGER EFFECT breaking stride. Leaving the 500 metres was checked when shifting wider to avoid STORMY MAL who had broke stride.

STORMY MAL - Negotiating the first turn was checked and broke when trailing STRANGER EFFECT who had broke stride. Leaving the 500 metres became unbalanced and broke stride. A warning was issued.

KIRPHILBRI – Negotiating the first turn was checked and broke as a result of STRANGE EFFECT breaking stride. Due to the ground lost the gelding took no further competitive part in the race.

WINFIELD BLUE – Negotiating the first turn was checked as a result of STRANGER EFFECT breaking stride. Had a tendency to hang in throughout the event. Leaving the 500 metres was checked and raced roughly when racing to the outside of STORMY MAL who had broke stride.

TULHURST BARRACUDA – Leaving the 500 metres was checked when shifting wider to avoid STORMY MAL.

 

RACE 6 – TELESCOPE/HANKOOK TYRES PACE – 1660 metres

FESTINALENTE – Post-race swab sample.

KARINYA MAX – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced between the 300 metres and the 200 metres when trailing DUSTY MUSTER who was yielding ground.

DUSTY MUSTER – Commenced to give ground from the 300 metres to be beaten 41.7 metres.

MITTYS THREE ACES NZ – When negotiating the first turn was checked as a result of ROCKIN SWEET hanging out and contacting the inside sulky wheel.

ROCKIN SWEET – When negotiating the first turn had a tendency to hang out and made contact to the inside sulky wheel of MITTYS THREE ACES NZ  breaking stride. Considering the gelding’s recent record he will be stood down for one requalifying trial.

 

RACE 7 – DWYERS CONTRACTING 2YO FILLIES PACE – 1660 metres

DIRECT TARGET – Negotiating the first turn when over racing was tightened and contacted marker pegs when AWICKED WOMAN shifted down the track when insufficiently clear. Driver P Betts was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when leaving the 150 metres has directed her runner down the track tightening the running of LAMNA NASUS who had commenced to improve to the inside.

AWICKED WOMAN – Pre-race blood sample. Driver S Maguire was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that negotiating the turn has shifted his runner down the track when insufficiently clear of DIRECT TARGET and as a result that runner was tightened for racing room. Leaving the 200 metres hung in and contact marker pegs.

YARRAMAN TILLY – Post-race swab sample.

LAMNA NASUS – Leaving the 150 metres was checked as a result of DIRECT TARGET shifting back down the track when insufficiently clear.

 

RACE 8 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1660 metres

VIOLET JAY – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

MONSTER MINT –With the offside rein being caught around the quick hitch, Driver M Wood raised his hand to alert the starter with the false start being activated.
