RACE 1 – SENPOS POINT OF SALE MAIDEN PACE – 1609 metres

SEASIDE SATISFIED – Checked behind the tiring POPS SECRET from the 600 metres until approaching the 300 metres.

NEEDY AN GREEDY – Post-race swab sample.

POPS SECRET – Pre-race blood sample.  Stewards questioned driver Will Rixon with regards to the performance of the gelding which tired over the final 600 metres of the event checking SEASIDE SATISFIED and ADDED VALUE.  Mr Rixon advised Stewards that he was disappointed with the performance of the gelding which had trialled well enough to be competitive in this type of event.  A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  After considering the explanation of Mr Rixon, the gelding was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.

ADDED VALUE – Checked behind the tiring POPS SECRET between the 600 metres and the 300 metres.

KEAYANG HARLOW – Examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to the event after sustaining laceration to its lip on the float during transport to the race course.  The mare was passed fit to take its place in the event.

RAINBOW KID – A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to be lame in the near side fore leg and acting on veterinary recommendations was stood down for a period of seven days and the production of a veterinary certificate of clearance.

RACE 2 – SOMERSET MEATS 2YO PACE – 1609 metres

HEZA CASANOVA – Over raced when racing in the lead of the event.

BLAZING HIGH – Post-race swab sample.

MY ULTIMATE FRANCO NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 3 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres

KATLAS DREAM – Post-race swab sample.

GALVARINO – Pre-race blood sample. 

GO TESS GO – A post-race veterinary examination of the filly failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

FRANKIROMAR – Commenced to race roughly before breaking stride passing the 400 metres.  After considering the recent record of the mare, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.

RACE 4 – PRYCE ENGINES PACE – 1609 metres

GUEST ARTIST NZ – Post-race swab sample.

LULLABY NZ – Pre-race blood sample. 

RACE 5 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES PACE – 1609 metres

NEVER KNOW CHARLIE – Held up in the early stages in the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.

ALWAYS THUNDER – Fractious during the score up and as a result was out of position at the start and took no competitive part in the event.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

ILLAWONG DANNY – Pre-race blood sample.  Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

HEZA PLAYER NZ – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1300 metres.

RACE 6 – TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP CONSOLATION – HUNTER – 2030 metres

VINCENTIUS MAXIMUS – Post-race swab sample.

ABSTRACT ART – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1500 metres.

KISSMELVIS – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1400 metres.

PARIS PRINCESS – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1500 metres.  Over raced during the middle stages.

LOVE LOU – Pre-race blood sample. 

THE CID – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 150 metres.

RACE 7 – TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL – HUNTER – 2030 metres

GROSSO NASO – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

SPUNKYS GOTSECRETS – Broke stride free of interference upon entry to the first turn checking PRINCESS MICKAYLA, BETTERTHANFEDERER, MAJOR REASON and SALLY BIGTIME and further inconveniencing WALTER WARLOCK.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued. 

ROSE BLING – Driver Ashleigh Delosa reported to Stewards that she sustained a flat off side sulky tyre passing the 1300 metres when the pace of the event slackened.

CAPTAIN GROOVE – Driver Brad Elder reported to Stewards that the gelding sustained a flat near side sulky tyre upon entry to the first turn.

ALWAYS BE CHAPS – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1500 metres.

WALTER WARLOCK – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1500 metres.  Inconvenienced upon entry to the first turn when SPUNKYS GOTSECRETS broke stride.  Post-race swab sample.

SALLY BIGTIME – Pre-race blood sample.  Checked upon entry to the first turn when SPUNKYS GOTSECRETS broke stride.

ERROL FIN – Pre-race blood sample.  Broke stride free of interference passing the 400 metres.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial.

PRINCESS MICKAYLA – Pre-race blood sample.  Checked upon entry to the first turn when SPUNKYS GOTSECRETS broke stride. 

BETTERTHANFEDERER – Checked upon entry to the first turn when SPUNKYS GOTSECRETS broke stride.

MAJOR REASON – Checked upon entry to the first turn when SPUNKYS GOTSECRETS broke stride.  Improved three wide from the 1400 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres.

RACE 8 – THE STEEL CITY CUP (LISTED CLASSIC) – 2550 metres

FORCE FULL – Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

VAN BASTEN – Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

CYA ART NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

PETES SAID SO NZ – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding has competed in excess of 200 race starts.  The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. 

MAX DELIGHT – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.
