RACE 1 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL PACE – 1609 metres

ITZMINEONTHELINE – Unable to secure clear running until passing the 100 metres.

CRAFTMANS CHARLIE – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

OUR GEORGE BOSTON – Had difficulty securing clear running until passing the 150 metres.

WHEREYABINBOPPIN – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  When questioned trainer/driver J Rattray explained that from the wide draw in this class of event, it was always his intention to look to restrain the gelding.  He added that after settling rearward he was unable to find a suitable trail into the race and given the circumstances he was satisfied with the way WHEREYABINBOPPIN finished the race off.  He added that it was his intention to continue to race the gelding and try to find more suitable races.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

 

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 2300 metres

THALASSOPHOBIA – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Unable to secure clear running until passing the 200 metres.

DOUGS FLAME – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Leaving the 400 metres was inclined to race roughly under pressure.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

BOLD MEDLEY JUJON NZ – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

 

RACE 3 – BE HAPPY MACH @ WINGATE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

HUTA NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

MONTALBANO – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

DONEGAL LUTHER NZ – Unable to obtain secure clear running until approaching the 150 metres.

NYACK – Improved three wide in the middle stages before crossing to the position outside of the leader.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

BAINBRIDGE – Raced three wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader.

 

RACE 4 – ULTRA AIR LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

KIMCANDO – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

SHEZ SWEET LOUISE NZ – Near the 200 metres disappointed for a run and was then unable to secure clear running until approaching the 100 metres.

HARLEEQUIN – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

ALFNALMA – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

 

RACE 5 – NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE EASTERN REGION 3YO FILLIES FINAL (LISTED CLASSIC) – 1609 metres

WEONA MISS MIKI – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

OUR ULTIMATE JESSY – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

LOOKIN GOOD MARGIE - Overraced during the early and middle stages.

TWO CRACKED CORN - Hung in after the start.

 

RACE 6 – NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE EASTERN REGION 2YO FILLIES FINAL (LISTED CLASSIC) – 1609 metres

COCOS DESIRE – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

BEACHBABE CROOCKER – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

MIRA DOMINA – Passing the 1500 metres became unbalanced and broke gait.  MIRA DOMINA will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw for the immediate future.

FORGIVE AND FORGET – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Hung out after the start and then approaching the 1400 metres had to be steadied away from MIRA DOMINA which had broken gait.

 

RACE 7 – NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE EASTERN REGION 3YO COLTS AND GELDINGS FINAL (LISTED CLASSIC) – 1609 metres

SET UP – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Unable to secure clear running at any stage in the home straight and was not fully tested.

FOLLOW THE MONEY – Approaching the 1400 metres, hung out and struck the sulky wheel of RIVERA LOU.

RIVERA LOU – Approaching the 1400 metres, when attempting to obtain a position in the running line, laid in and bumped with the off side sulky wheel of FOLLOW THE MONEY as that runner hung out. Subsequently RIVERA LOU was checked and broke gait.

SOHO GUNSLINGER – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

VENOM HANOVER – Approaching the 1400 metres had to be steadied wider to avoid RIVERA LOU which had broken gait.

 

RACE 8 – WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP PACE – 2300 metres

NO DRAMAS – Near the 800 metres commenced to weaken and gave considerable ground over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be exhibiting a cough and to be lame in the off hind leg.  Adopting the veterinary recommendations NO DRAMAS was stood down for a period of seven days and until a veterinary certificate is submitted in addition connections were advised that NO DRAMAS must complete one satisfactory official trial before resuming racing.

HAS THE COURAGE – Held up and checked behind the tiring NO DRAMAS between the 600 metres and the 400 metres. 

COOL NIGHT – When questioned driver W Rixon explained that COOL NIGHT lacks high speed and given the longer distance of tonight’s event he wanted to allow the gelding to stride forward particularly as it appeared the lead was available during the early stages.  He added that when briefly challenged he elected to maintain the lead as he believed the gelding is suited when able to dictate the tempo.  W Rixon added that the gelding’s failure to run on over the concluding stages was slightly disappointing although he was only having its second start for its new trainer and was a work in progress.  W Rixon’s explanation was noted.

RED REACTOR NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Checked and held up behind the tiring NO DRAMAS between the 600 metres and the 400 metres.

DUKES CHOICE – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

OUTSIDE FIGHTER – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare guidelines.  No abnormalities were detected.

OZZIE PUNTA – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

 

RACE 9 – IRT YOUR HORSE OUR PASSION TROTTERS STANDING START HANDICAP – 2300 metres

WYNBERG WATCH NZ – Fractious during the pre-race circling and when called forward by the starter.  As the start was affected WYNBERG WATCH NZ stood flat footed and reared and missed away by a significant distance.  Connections were advised that WYNBERG WATCH NZ would be placed right outside of the standing start barrier draw in addition the gelding must complete one satisfactory official standing start trial prior to resuming.

SUNNY GEE – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Passing the 500 metres had to be taken wider to avoid SHEETWEB WEAVER which was weakening.

PESCO POLLO – Shortly after the start had to be shifted wider to avoid WYNBERG WATCH NZ which had begun badly.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

COURAGE STRIDE – Shortly after the start had to be shifted wider to avoid WYNBERG WATCH NZ.

JUNGLE EYES – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

SHEETWEB WEAVER – Shortly after the start was checked wider to avoid WYNBERG WATCH NZ.  Commenced to give ground leaving the 600 metres and tired over the concluding stages.  When questioned trainer/driver M Stanley was unable to provide an explanation for the gelding’s performance although he was concerned that the gelding maybe looking for a break. He added that it would be his intention to inform the owner that in his opinion SHEETWEB WEAVER NZ would benefit from being freshened up prior to its next start.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.  A warning was issued.
