RACE 1 – HYLANDS SPORTSWEAR TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300 metres

JINAN – Pre-race sample.

PARIS SKIES – Re-included back in the mobile barrier draw. Over-raced during the early and middle stages, then commenced to give ground leaving the 700m and tired to be beaten more than 100m. In assessing the performance of the mare connections were advised that PARIS SKIES will be required to trial to the satisfaction of stewards on one occasion prior to racing again. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.  

YOUR MAJESTY – Post-race sample. Out of position at the start and will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Inconvenienced and shifted wider leaving the 700m when PARIS SKIES began to give ground in advance.

MONTY MONTE – Out of position at the start and will continue to be placed right outside the mobile barrier draw. Inconvenienced and shifted wider leaving the 700m when PARIS SKIES began to give ground in advance.

 

RACE 2 – TAB TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300 metres

BERTINELLI – Galloped in the score up and was out of position at the start. In assessing the previous barrier manners of BERTINELLI, it was placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Trailed the field for the entire.

DOLLYS LAW – Checked over the concluding stages when ORIA hung out under pressure.

ORIA – Pre-race sample. Over-raced during the middle stages when leading and then hung out under pressure over the concluding stages. DOLLYS LAW and CHIEF RUNNINGCLOUD were checked.  Driver Z Fitzpatrick explained that ORIA was placed at a disadvantage when over racing when leading and in her opinion may have slightly choked down. Miss Fitzpatrick explained that it was the intention of connections to spell ORIA. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

LAST CLANSMAN – Driver KA Morris was fined $100 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to have her drive in position during the score up and at the start.

VALLEY STAR NZ – Galloped under pressure approaching the finish line and a warning was issued.

WE CAN HAVE IT ALL NZ – Held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.

 

RACE 3 – D M PLUMBING PACE – 1609 metres

SPECIALIZE LOU – Over-raced during the middle stages when racing along the peg line.

MAJOR TREACHEROUS – Trainer KA Morris was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to have the gear notified for the colt.

FLIGHT LOUTENANT – Pre-race sample. Trainer R Alchin was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to have gear notified for the gelding.

CALZAGHE NZ – Post-race sample.

NEED ME SOME SUGAR – Held up for clear racing room rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

TORA – Paced roughly after the start. Tired to be beaten 51m.

 

RACE 4 – PRYDE’S RACING CUBE PACE – 1609 metres

WHAT FOR – Pre-race sample.

REIGN MAKER – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding

having in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

OURSAFARISUN – Post-race sample.

JOGALONG BLUE – Galloped in the score up and was out of position at the start. Will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Trailed the field for the entire.

 

RACE 5 – KING OF SWING STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

MICHAEL CAINE NZ – Post-race sample.

SIR KNIGHT – Pre-race sample.

EXPLOSIVE BRONSKI – Galloped in the score up however regained its barrier position at the start. A warning was issued against the barrier manners.

IM MAJOR TOMMY NZ – Declared a late scratching at 1:39pm acting on veterinary advice.

MISTER JONES – Tightened for racing room approaching the finish line due to MICHAEL CAINE NZ shifting in under pressure.

KISS ME MINI NZ – Driver B McDonough was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to have his drive in position at the start.

 

RACE 6 – FARMER JOES CHICKEN PACE – 1609 metres

CONSIDER IT DONE – Galloped in the score up, was out of position at the start and trailed the field for the entire. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of CONSIDER IT DONE.

D J ROCK NZ – Pre-race sample.

TISBURY ROCKS NZ – Post-race sample.

SKY BLU – Tightened for racing room leaving the 100m due to D J ROCK NZ shifting out slightly and SWEET STRIKE shifting in under pressure.

SWEET STRIKE – Shifted in under pressure leaving the 100m, tightening the racing room of SKY BLU racing to the inside.

 

RACE 7 – AINSWORTH A-STAR PACE – 1609 metres

SURF ACE – Held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.

BANKSY NZ – Galloped in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of BANKSY NZ. Shifted out under pressure leaving the 200m inconveniencing ROCLEA IMAGE.  

CLASSIC ELEGANCE NZ – Post-race sample.

KAYSANS ROCK NZ – Tired to be beaten 76m and was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

OOGA CHAKA – Pre-race sample.

ROCLEA IMAGE – Inconvenienced over the final 200m due to BANKSY NZ shifting out under pressure.
