RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1770 metres
BACKPADDOCKJACK – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
QUICKSHIFT GIRL – Contacted marker pegs entering the first turn.
BOUY – Pre-race swab sampled.
ELATED NZ – Driver N Jack was queried regarding the below market expectations performance of the gelding, he stated that he was disappointed with its effort over the concluding stages but added that he felt even though it had been racing recently that it would take benefit from tonight's run.
ORAMA – Post-race swab sampled.
MARLO MAREAU – Hung-out under pressure in the home straight, for which a warning was issued. Trainer/Driver C Rauchenberger was questioned regarding her tactics adopted with the mare, in particular her increasing the pace leaving the 600 metres when racing outside the leader ELATED NZ. She stated that she was happy with the pace she set from that point of the race, however added that she was disappointed with the way her mare raced over the concluding stages. She added that it was travelling well but leaving the 400 metres when it got to the front it dropped the bit and did not really respond to her urgings, and she was of the view that it should have won with the run it had.
CHEEZ – Galloped out as the start was effected for which a warning was issued.
ROYAL EXIT – Broke gait free of interference near the 1400 metres and again leaving the 800 metres, connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.
RACE 2 – COROWA CHAFF PACE – 1770 metres
ALL SO SASSY – Tired over the concluding stages of the race.
RETURN SERVE – Post-race swab sampled.
GLAMOUR FOX – Tired over the concluding stages of the race.
SPRING DELIGHT – Pre-race swab sampled.
SOLVE THE CRIME – Tired over the concluding stages of the race.
RACE 3 – SS&A OF ALBURY PACE – 1770 metres
ERNIELOVENBOY – Checked off the back of LITTLE COOL and broke gait when that runner was inconvenienced behind ELLAVA PACER near the 600 metres when its pace eased.
LITTLE COOL – Inconvenienced behind ELLAVA PACER near the 600 metres when its pace eased.
ALISKI – Broke gait free of interference near the 600 metres, for which a warning was issued.
ELLAVA PACER – Driver M Towers was queried into her runner appearing to lose some ground while leading rounding the turn approaching the 600 metres, she stated that it didn’t really handle the turn at that point and seemed to hesitate momentarily before picking up the bit once again upon entering the back straight. Post-race swab sampled.
MELATI BOY – Checked leaving the 400 metres when AMBER ALERT broke gait.
GOODTIME JAZZI – Checked leaving the 400 metres when AMBER ALERT broke gait.
KEAYANG LADYBUG – Checked near the 600 metres when ALISKI broke gait.
ONE HORN BILLY – Inconvenienced near the 600 metres when ALISKI broke gait. Checked leaving the 400 metres when AMBER ALERT broke gait.
AMBER ALERT – Hung-in and broke gait leaving the 400 metres, for which a warning was issued.
ROLL THE ACES – Pre-race swab sampled. Checked leaving the 400 metres when AMBER ALERT broke gait.
RACE 4 – TRAVLA-AUSTRALIAN LAGER PACE – 1770 metres
KEAYANG ALEX – Post-race swab sampled.
HUMMING TOP – Driver S Adams was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the 1400 metres when racing three wide he shifted the gelding in when not sufficiently clear of SOMEBODYS GIRL which was tightened for room and inconvenienced.
BLUES TERROR – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start. Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.
VALENTINI – Galloped out at the start, given the mare’s record connections were advised that she would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races.
LORD VERDE NZ – Pre-race swab sampled.
SOMEBODYS GIRL – Tightened for room when racing to the inside of HUMMING TOP approaching the 1400 metres, when that runner shifted-in.
RACE 5 – HARD AS CONCRETERS BACK STRAIGHT LADYSHIP PACE – 1770 metres
MILLWOOD BROOKLYN NZ – Hung-out during the score-up and shortly after the start.
FLOJOS BEST – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.
I AM THE TORNADO – Contacted marker pegs near the 100 metres. Driver R Turner was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(c)(i) for allowing the mare to shift in near the 100 metres and contact marker pegs.
IM PRINCESS NELLIE – Inconvenienced near the 1400 metres when LE BETTY broke gait. Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
LE BETTY – Broke gait while racing keenly rounding the turn approaching the 1400 metres, for which a warning was issued. A post-race Veterinary examination, revealed the mare to have sustained a cut to the rear of its near fore fetlock. Connections were advised that they would be required to provide a Veterinary certificate of fitness for the mare prior to its next race start.
MILLYANO – Inconvenienced near the 1400 metres when LE BETTY broke gait. Placed back in the draw for future mobile start races.
RACE 6 – DISCOUNT GROCERY WAREHOUSE LAVINGTON PACE – 1770 metres
DIDNT I – Hung-in and contacted marker pegs leaving the 400 metres, for which a warning was issued. Tightened and contacted marker pegs near the 200 metres when racing to the inside of CHARGING BULL which hung-in.
OLLY ODD POTTS – Post-race swab sampled.
LIFE GETS BETTER – Tightened for room entering the first turn when CHARGING BULL shifted-in. Broke gait free of interference approaching the 1400 metres, for which a warning was issued.
CHARGING BULL – Driver B Neely was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that entering the first turn he made insufficient effort to prevent the gelding, which was inclined to hang-in, from shifting-in when not sufficiently clear of LIFE GETS BETTER which was tightened for room. Hung-in near the 200 metres, for which a warning was issued, when racing in restricted room to the inside of GLAMORS SYMBOL as a result DIDNT I was tightened for room.
DEADLINE – Contacted the sulky of the galloping MOST CERTAIN MICKY near the 200 metres, was severely checked and broke gait, and Driver S Richards was dislodged from his sulky. S Richards was examined by the on-course paramedics and was cleared of any serious injuries.
MOST CERTAIN MICKY – Pre-race swab sampled. Broke gait rounding the home turn near the 200 metres when marker pegs were knocked back into it when DIDNT I contacted them. While galloping DEADLINE made heavy contact with its sulky and the gelding fell. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed it to have sustained a fracture to its near fore sesamoid bone and the gelding was humanely euthanised due to the injury sustained. Driver N Horan was examined by the on-course paramedics and was cleared of any serious injuries.
GLAMORS SYMBOL – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start. Hung-in under pressure rounding the turn near the 200 metres.
RACE 7 – SIGNARAMA ALBURY PACE – 2170 metres
SET PLAY – Post-race swab sampled.
TINNYSMEDAD – A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to have blood present in the left nostril. In accordance with Rule 101B(2), connections were advised the gelding would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.
SEND IT SAM – Broke gait free of interference near the 600 metres, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be stood down from racing for a period of 28 days and would be required to perform 4 re-qualifying trials.
I AM ON THERUN – Pre-race swab sampled. Driver B Micallef was fined the sum of $400 under Rule 156(2)(a) for using his whip with an action that was more than a wrist only flicking motion in the home straight. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account that this was his second whip rule breach within 60 days of the first breach.
RACE 8 – CARNIVAL OF CUPS MURRAY CUP 2026 3YO PACE – 1770 metres
HARJAYBRO – Pre-race swab sampled.
LA FEAST – Hung-in under pressure in the home straight.
MISTER RAUDONIKIS – Raced roughly after the start for which a warning was issued. Broke gait free of interference approaching the 1400 metres and raced roughly near the 600 metres, connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial. A post-race Veterinary examination, revealed the gelding to have a muscle injury to its near hind leg. Connections were advised that they would be required to provide a Veterinary certificate of fitness for the gelding prior to its next race start.
