RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 2260 metres

GIFTED BRIGADE NZ – ($3.90) Driver Will Rixon was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the gelding which finished in 9th position beaten 49.7m. Mr Rixon advised the gelding to be disappointing and contributed the performance to the gelding failing to race in a genuine manner. Mr Rixon added GIFTED BRIGADE NZ maybe better driven more conservatively over the longer distances.

SEVEN TEE TWO – Pre-race swab. Driver Jet Turnbull was fined the sum of $100 under AHR Rule 170(2) for allowing his upper body to protrude outside the confines of the sulky. Post-race swab.

SPARKLA – Held up during the early stages of the home straight. Raced roughly passing the 200m.

MITTYS THREE ACES NZ – Checked and taken back through the field when SURFIN AT MIDNIGHT commenced to yield ground from passing the 600m.

SURFIN AT MIDNIGHT – ($18.00) Yielded ground rapidly from the 600m to finish in 10th and last position beaten 106.6m.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be 3/5 lame in the near hind leg. SURFIN AT MIDNIGHT will now be stood down for a period of seven (7) day also pending a veterinary clearance & trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion.

SPEED DIAL – Inconvenienced passing the 800m when JAKCAM FLYER shifted wider on the track.

KEAYANG JIGSAW – ($11.00) Trainer/driver Michael Tenardi was queried into the seemingly improved performance of the gelding compared to its most recent start & the gelding being supported on fixed price betting. Mr Tenardi advised KEAYANG JIGSAW was third up since a spell and had been trialling well prior to starting this campaign as the gelding had finished in 4th position first up at Bathurst 19th November & the gelding was extremely fractious at its most recent start at Young 2nd December where KEAYANG JIGSAW broke gait during the score up & lost considerable ground prior to being exerted during the early stages of the event to tack onto the main body of the field where the gelding suffered multiple checks from various runners breaking gait. Mr Tenardi added he was confident of a forward performance in tonight’s event as he was always going to sustain an economical run when following the leader in the event ACHY BREAKY ARK as the gelding only had to improve from the start of the home straight. Mr Tenardi could offer no explanation for the support for the gelding as he was unaware of the owner supporting the gelding and was surprised in market fluctuations as KEAYANG JIGSAW had been well in the market at both prior starts. Post-race swab.

JAKCAM FLYER – Pre-race swab. Driver Cameron Fitzpatrick was issued a reprimand for shifting ground passing the 800m which inconvenienced SPEED DIAL.

RACE 5 – BHRC MEMBERS BADGE DRAW TONIGHT $4915 PACE – 1730 metres

HES CHIMING – No Claims lodged. Post-race swab.

MIKI BE GOOD – ($2.80) Pre-race swab. Trainer Dean Atkinson was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the gelding which finished in 8th and last position beaten 18.9m after racing outside the leader throughout. Mr Atkinson advised the gelding was first up since 19th September 2025 and was not suited racing outside the leader as the gelding is better suited when able to lead or have cover in its races. Mr Atkinson added MIKI BE GOOD would derive benefit from the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding displaying a delayed recovery.
