RACE 5 – PENRITH MAZDA PACE – 1720 metres

CASH AND BLING – Held up for clear racing room rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

GIVE ME A MINUTE NZ – Contacted marker pegs when leading entering the home straight on the final occasion.  

CAPTAIN RICHIE – Slow to leave the mobile barrier.

GIPSY PRINCESS – Post-race sample.

BARNSTORMER NZ – Pre-race sample. Re-included back in the mobile barrier draw.

 

 

RACE 6 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1720 metres

POWERLINC – Pre-race sample.

IMA SHINKANSEN – Checked rounding the final turn when LOCKITINEDDY galloped.

DYNAMITES BEST – Checked rounding the final turn when LOCKITINEDDY galloped.

KINGSTON RAINBOW – Checked rounding the final turn when LOCKITINEDDY galloped.

LOCKITINEDDY – Galloped clear of interference rounding the final turn. IMA SHINKANSEN, DYNAMITES BEST, KINGSTON RAINBOW and THE COUNTY SHERIFF were all checked to varying degrees. A warning was issued against the racing manners of LOCKITINEDDY.

THE COUNTY SHERIFF – Checked rounding the final turn when LOCKITINEDDY galloped.

HOT CRUISE CONTROL – Post-race sample.

 

RACE 7 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1720 metres

CROWN MOJO – Paced roughly when leading racing into the back straight on the first occasion.

MAGIC MATTEO – Pre-race sample.

RAINBOWSEND – Paced roughly shortly after the start and a warning was issued. Gave ground to be beaten 53m with a post-race veterinary examination failing to reveal any abnormalities. Driver Z Fitzpatrick advised that the pre-race intention was to have the mare driven forward however after pacing roughly after the start the mare failed to muster the sufficient speed to race in the forward half of the field. Therefore, RAINSBOWEND was restrained to the rear of the field after being caught racing wide. Miss Fitzpatrick added that the mare was not suited when having to improve three wide over the final 800m and failed to handle the final bend when racing wider on the track.

AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS – Driver J Gallagher explained that after his drive was caught racing wide on the track during the early stages, it appeared to him he would not have been able to gain the lead off CROWN MOJO racing into the back straight on the first occasion. Mr Gallagher added that he believed CROWN MOJO would not have surrendered to WHEREISHE and he would have been able to gain cover in the one-one position. However shortly after WHEREISHE improved to the lead position off CROWN MOJO and AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS was required to race without cover for the remainder.

MADAZALWAYS – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding

starting in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1720 metres

MERRYWOOD LOU – Galloped in the early stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of the gelding.

GOODTIME MIKI – Galloped clear of interference racing into the back straight on the first occasion. ZAYNES TIGER was checked and galloped. A warning was issued against the racing manners of GOODTIME MIKI.

HES MY REASON – Pre-race sample. Held up for clear racing room over the latter stages of the home straight.

ZAYNES TIGER – Checked and galloped racing into the back straight on the first occasion when trailing GOODTIME MIKI, which galloped in advance.

ILOVEACALENDERGIRL – Post-race sample.
