GENERAL – Trainer Seaton Grima was fined $250 under Rule 159B(1)(a)(i) & (ii) in that this morning he was observed driving track work at Hawkesbury without a body protector fitted.

 

RACE 1 – AINSWORTH TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

EWING – Pre-race blood sample.  Broke under pressure passing the 300 metres and a warning was issued.

SUNNY GEE – Post-race swab sample.

YOUR MAGISTY – Out of position at the start and in view of the mare’s poor record will now be placed to the extreme outside in future mobile start events.

MONTY MONTE – Trotted roughly passing the 400 metres.

 

RACE 2 – HYLAND SPORTSWEAR PACE – 1609 metres

TORA – Out of position at the start and a warning was issued.  Broke clear of interference passing the 1300 metres and a warning was issued. 

FOX TROT – Paced roughly momentarily passing the 1400 metres.

GARRYS LARRY – Driver Allan Forrest was reprimanded under Rule 162(1)(www)(a) in that inside the final 300 metres he permitted GARRYS LARRY to continue to shift out resulting in TRISTAR FOR CHRIS being inconvenienced.

HESAA LISTER – Post-race swab sample.

NEED FOR SPEED – Pre-race blood sample.  Held up inside the final 200 metres.

TRISTAR FOR CHRIS – Inconvenienced inside the final 300 metres when GARRYS LARRY shifted out under pressure.

 

RACE 3 – IRT YOUR HORSE OUR PASSION 3YO PACE – 1609 metres

BENJAMIN – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

MIRA DOMINA – Re-included in the mobile barrier draw

 

RACE 4 – AGNES BANKS EQUINE CLINIC PACE – 1609 metres

JACQUELINE ROSE NZ – Post-race swab sample.

A VAPAR STORM – Pre-race blood sample. 

CLASSICMAJOR – Held up during the early part of the straight.  Driver Jye Coney was questioned regarding his driving inside the final 50 metres in particular the level of vigour which was employed.  Mr Coney explained that CLASSICMAJOR was held up initially in the early part of the home straight and upon obtaining a clear run to the inside of WHAT FOR he activated the removable deafeners and commenced to drive CLASSICMAJOR with vigour, however felt the gelding was doing its best approaching the finish.  Upon consideration of the explanation provided by Mr Coney and review of the available replays which identified that he continued to apply the whip albeit slightly Stewards took the matter no further, however advised Mr Coney to ensure that he does not drive in a manner which leaves himself open for query particularly when a horse is positioned to be entitled for a reduction in rating points.

PARALLEL – Held up inside the final 50 metres.

 

RACE 5 – FARMER JOES CHICKEN PACE – 1609 metres

AMERICAN WEREWOLF – Post-race swab sample.

WAHAKA – Pre-race blood sample.  Held up during the early part of the straight.

 

RACE 6 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL PACE – 1609 metres

CROWN MOJO – Hung out against the efforts of its driver.  Shortly after passing the 600 metres commenced to pace roughly resulting in IDEAL REDEMPTION being inconvenienced and SURF ACE, THE BEST OF YOU and PELIGROSO being checked.  A post-race veterinary examination of CROWN MOJO failed to reveal any significant findings.  Connections were advised that CROWN MOJO will now be placed on its last chance to race truly.

LILS NIGHTMARE NZ – Driver Vaughan Duncan was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(c)(ii) in that shortly after straightening he permitted LILS NIGHTMARE NZ to improve to the inside of WILLS WAY and as a consequence LILS NIGHTMARE NZ made contact with the marker pegs.  In not taking more severe action against Mr Duncan Stewards were satisfied no advantage was gained.

THERES WALLY – Pre-race blood sample. 

PETES BIG JIM – Post-race swab sample.

IDEAL REDEMPTION – Inconvenienced passing the 600 metres when CROWN MOJO hung out.

SURF ACE – Checked passing the 600 metres when CROWN MOJO hung out.

THE BEST OF YOU – Checked passing the 600 metres when CROWN MOJO hung out.

PELIGROSO – Checked passing the 600 metres when CROWN MOJO hung out.

 

RACE 7 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE PACE – 1609 metres

GUARANTEED END – Pre-race blood sample.  Fractious prior to the start where the mare reared and swung sideways resulting in its driver Cameron Hart being dislodged from the sulky.  Mr Hart was uninjured in this incident.  Post-race swab sample.  A warning was placed on the record of GUARANTEED END for being fractious prior to the start.

VALIENTE HANOVER – Fractious prior to the start and reared necessitating the horse to undergo a pre-race veterinary examination which cleared VALIENTE HANOVER to start.  Out of position at the start and in view of the horse’s recent starting record it will now be placed on its last chance in the draw.

FOR ALWAYS ARDEN NZ – Broke during the score up and a warning was issued.

 

RACE 8 – PRYDE’S EASIFEED PACE – 1069 metres

WESTERN STYLE – Pre-race blood sample. 

JALANEEL – Post-race swab sample.

NO DRAMAS – Declared a late scratching at 9.12am acting on veterinary advice.

FIFTEEN ACES – Inconvenienced approaching the 1100 metres when the pace of the event eased.
