GENERAL – Due to the prevailing hot weather conditions the protective measures outlined within the HRNSW Heat Policy were enacted.

 

RACE 1 – ULTRA AIR NEW YEARS GIFT HEAT ONE – 1609 metres

TIGER PRINCE – Held up during the early part of the straight.

MR TEDDY NZ – Inconvenienced approaching the 1000 metres when the pace eased.

PABLO ROCKS – Pre-race blood sample.

STILL ROLLIN NZ – Post-race swab sample.

LITTLE DEMON – Inconvenienced approaching the 1000 metres when the pace eased.

WITHDISTINCTION – Pre-race blood sample. 

 

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU NEW YEARS GIFT HEAT TWO – 1609 metres

CAPTAINS MISTRESS NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

FLYING COLOURS NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 3 – KING OF SWING STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

ITZMINEONTHELINE – Pre-race blood sample. 

TOKYO ROSE NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.  Trainer Jason Grimson was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to have the mare’s gear accurately recorded.

 

RACE 4 – CORDINA FOOD CO NEW YEARS GIFT HEAT THREE – 1609 metres

BEACH DELIGHT – Pre-race blood sample.  Broke clear of interference approaching the 500 metres resulting in RAGING WHITEBAIT NZ being inconvenienced.  A warning was placed on the record of BEACH DELIGHT.

RAGING WHITEBAIT NZ – Inconvenienced passing the 500 metre when BEACH DELIGHT broke gait.  Held up during the early part of the straight.

CLASSIC ELEGANCE NZ – Pre-race blood sample. 

WHILEMENA RITA – Broke for some distance during the early stages of the score up and a warning was issued.

DEMON BLUE NZ – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 5 – CLUB MENANGLE FFA – 1609 metres

PETES SAID SO NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. 

RAKERO ROCKET NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.  Trainer Jason Grimson was fined $50 under rule 236A(1) for failing to have the gelding’s gear accurately recorded.

CAPTAINS KNOCK – Pre-race blood sample.  A post-race veterinary examination of CAPTAINS KNOCK ($2.00), which finished in 7th placing beaten 26 metres after being positioned outside the leader throughout, did not reveal any significant findings.

 

RACE 6 – SUCCESS STUD LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

CHARLIES ACE NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the mare having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. 

IDEAL IN DREAMS – Held up inside the final 200 metres.

VIEW THE ART – Over raced during the middle stages.

PRECISE NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

UPSTREAM – Pre-race blood sample. 

 

RACE 7 – TAB WE’RE ON PACE – 1609 metres

JALANEEL – Pre-race blood sample. 

ROCLEA IMAGE – Pre-race blood sample. 

WESTERN STYLE – Tightened approaching the 100 metres when HARRYHOO shifted out and ONE FOR THE RODI shifted in.

JORGE STREET – Post-race swab sample.
