RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 metres

BARRYS ROSE – Pre-race sample. Post-race sample.

EYES OFF TIGER – Shifted out momentarily and paced roughly at the 800m when racing along the marker peg line. Inconvenienced MISS ADONIS which was trailing.

MISS ADONIS – Inconvenienced at the 800m due to EYES OFF TIGER shifting out and pacing roughly.

SMOKING JOEY – Underwent pre and post – race veterinary examinations due to not having started in a race since December 2024. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Re-included back in the mobile barrier draw.

SZWANEN – Hung in at various stages throughout the event and contacted several markers pegs. In assessing the previous racing manners of SZWANEN and that the mare had performed similar in recent starts connections were advised that SZWANEN must complete one satisfactory trial prior to racing again.

 

RACE 2 – BONVILLA ESTATE WINES PACE – 1609 metres

BREXITT – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding

being 12 years of age. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Post-race sample.

TACKAS PRINCESS – Pre-race sample.

WALLAROY BOY – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Held up and unable to obtain clear racing room until the latter stages of the run to the finish.

 

RACE 3 – BARASTOC PACE – 1609 metres

HASLER – Raced in restricted room rounding the final turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

ESPERANZA – Pre-race sample.

PENURIOUS – Post-race sample.

 

RACE 4 – COCA COLA PACE – 1609 metres

TRUTHBETOLD – Pre-race sample. Out of position at the start however no action was taken. In not acting the panel was mindful of Driver C Mackney’s limited experience in race driving. Inconvenienced rounding the final turn when trailing SCATTERSHOT, which was giving ground.

NEEDY AND GREEDY – Post-race sample.

SCATTERSHOT – Gave ground to be beaten 34m.

MERSADIES – Driver D Spencer was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to have his drive in position at the start.

 

RACE 5 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres

BRING YOUR BEST – Gave ground to be beaten 37m.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Post-race sample.

SWEET ROCKY – Pre-race sample.

 

RACE 6 – SHARP OFFIVE PACE – 1609 metres

WATSLUVGOTTADO – Post-race sample. Over-raced during the middle stages when leading.

BE GOOD BENNY – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

MY LATIN LADY – Pre-race sample.

 

RACE 7 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

CHLOBRO – Pre-race sample.

TWO CRACKED CORN – Trainer K McDeed was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late driving notification of R Morris as the driver of the mare.

SMART AND MIGHTY NZ – Galloped out at the start and a warning was issued.

NEXT TO ME NZ – Trainer K McDeed was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late driving notification of J Coney as the driver of the gelding.

YESNOMAYBESO – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Post-race sample.
