RACE 1 – CHESEL BARNES SHOW @ CLUB PACEWAY JAN 26 PACE – 1720 metres

MEANT TO BE SLOY – Stewards questioned driver C Hart in relation to the performance of the colt when failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 16.3 metres.  Mr Hart explained that the colt is only a three year old and is racing up in grade compared to its most recent racing and noted that it was first up in tonight’s event since 18 December 2025.  Mr Hart explained that he expected the colt to take benefit from the run and would expect improvement. 

RUEBE STARBUCK NZ – Driver S Morris was approved as a late driving replacement as W Rixon had been involved in an accident enroute to course.

DONTLETFEARSTOPYA NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Improved three wide from the 1400 metres until obtaining the position outside of the leader passing the 1200 metres. 

FLO RYDA NZ – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

ADMIRABLE NZ – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 2 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1720 metres

OLIVIA SHANNON – Hung out throughout the event however hung out significantly passing the 500 metres and again passing the 150 metres for which the mare was issued its last chance to race truly.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. 

MINI MINE YET NZ – Checked between the 500 metres and 200 metres behind the weakening OLIVIA SHANNON.

LYNNSANITY

DESIDERIO – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1100 metres.

ED MENDES – Post-race swab sample.

ROGERVALERIO LOMBO – Caught racing three wide in the early stages and restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1400 metres.

REIGN MAKER – Pre-race blood sample.  A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Hampered behind the weakening OLIVIA SHANNON between the 400 and 200 metres.

 

RACE 3 – HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY PACE – 1720 metres

OLLIE ONE SHOT – Failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 45.2 metres.

KING COREY – Pre-race blood sample. 

TIGERNATOR – Over raced when positioned outside of the leader.  Stewards questioned driver R Brown in relation to the gelding’s overall racing manners and performance in tonight’s event when weakening over the concluding stages from the 600 metres to be beaten 60.5 metres.  Ms Brown could offer no explanation into the gelding’s performance other than noting that the gelding did over race when positioned outside of the leader.  in view of the gelding’s performance it was issued its last chance to race truly.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

PLAY SOUTHERNLAND – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the lead passing the 1200 metres.

KINGSTON RAINBOW – Raced roughly passing the 500 metres momentarily.

JAKCAM FLYER – Post-race swab sample.

GOODTIME MIKI – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1500 metres.

 

RACE 4 – AUSSIE NIGHT MARKETS RETURNS FROM FEB 2026 PACE – 2125 metres

MATTEO – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse not  having competed in the previous 12 months.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Hung out throughout the event.

SWEET SWEET TOOTH – Stewards questioned driver W Rixon in relation to the performance of the mare when failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 39.9 metres and finished in last position.  Mr Rixon could offer no explanation into the disappointing performance of the mare. 

THE POSTMASTER – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1800 metres.  Over raced when positioned outside of the leader.

OKAY GRINGO – Pre-race blood sample. 

WHERISHE – Post-race swab sample.

GREY CADILLAC – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being 12 years of age and having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Hung in and contacted a number of marker pegs throughout the event when rounding the turns.

 

RACE 5 – TIM LEMON MEMORIAL – 1720 metres

CHARLIES ACE NZ – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the mare having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Post-race swab sample.

GOODTIME BRAVO – Became unbalanced and galloped shortly after the start for which a warning was issued. 

RAYS REDEMPTION – Pre-race blood sample.   

OUR UNCLE JIM – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Hampered after the start when avoiding the galloping GOODTIME BRAVO.

THE METAL FLYER – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

DESTINY STRIDE – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

GO WITHOUT – Raced three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1150 metres. 

NOTHINGBUTWAVES – Trainer K Morris was fined $50 under rule 210 for failing to declare J Gallagher as the driver by the prescribed time. Hampered after the start when avoiding the galloping GOODTIME BRAVO.

 

RACE 6 – TAB VENUE MODE LADYSHIP PACE – 1720 metres

LOOKIN GOOD MARGIE – Presented on course approximately four hours prior to its event in accordance with the HRNSW elevated TCO2 policy.  Pre-race blood sample.  Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1400 metres.  Stewards questioned driver J Gallagher in relation to the performance of the mare when failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 36 metres and finished in tenth position.  Mr Gallagher explained that he had done more work than anticipated during the early stages to obtain the lead however connections were confident that if the mare was able to lead then she maybe hard to beat in tonight’s event.  In view of the performance Mr Gallagher explained he was disappointed in the way the mare performed.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

RACE 7 – MONSTER TRUCKS @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND FEB 21 PACE – 1720 metres

TARA JIM – Hung out shortly after entering the first turn.  Tightened passing the 200 metres when racing to the inside of NEED FOUR SPEED which had hung in whilst under pressure to its outside and as a result TARA JIM contacted a number of marker pegs. 

BEYONDREASON – Trainer B Kitt was fined $50 under rule 210 for failing to declare V Duncan as the driver by the prescribed time.  Became unbalanced and galloped shortly after entering the first turn and as a result was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial.

EBBONY STORM – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1400 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

JANELLE MAY – Pre-race blood sample. 

ROSES ARE BEST – Raced three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1300 metres.

NEED FOUR SPEED – Improved three wide from the 1300 metres until obtaining the position outside of the leader passing the 1100 metres.  Hung in under pressure passing the 200 metres and as a result placed TARA JIM which was racing to its inside in restricted room.

IM JUST SAYIN – Re-included into the mobile barrier draw.
