RACE 1 – HUNTSVILLE STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

JALANEEL – Driver Z Fitzpatrick was reminded of her obligations to ensure that she makes her way to the pre-race circle by the prescribed time in the future.

CASH AND BLING – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Unable to secure clear running at any stage of the home straight and was not fully tested.

HEZ DUSTY – Leaving the 1400 metres was placed in restricted room by DELIGHTFUL STAR NZ which had been taken in by WHILEMENA RITA.  Improved three wide in the middle stages before crossing to the position outside of the leader near the 900 metres.

JOANS RISING STAR NZ – Improved three wide approaching the 900 metres and raced three wide without cover for the remainder of the event.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

DELIGHTFUL STAR NZ – Leaving the 1400 metres was placed in restricted room when WHILEMENA RITA shifted in resulting in DELIGHTFUL STAR NZ having to be steadied and shifted in towards HEZ DUSTY.

LENNETH – Unable to secure clear running until approaching the 150 metres.

WHILEMENA RITA – Leaving the 1400 metres commenced to lay in and shifted in resulting in DELIGHTFUL STAR NZ being tightened and taken in toward HEZ DUSTY which in turn was placed in restricted room.  A warning was placed on WHILEMENA RITA for hanging in.

ILLAWONG DANNY – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

 

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 1609 metres

TUKAHA – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

THE GREEK GENERAL – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

DOUBLE LOU – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

 

RACE 3 – AINSWORTH GAME TECHNOLOGY PACE – 2300 metres

DOUGS FLAME – Approaching the 100 metres was inclined to hang in under pressure and contacted marker pegs.  Unable to secure clear running until approaching the 50 metres.

PROMISING – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

HUTA NZ – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

CAULONIA COURAGE – Caught wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field.

OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH NZ – Inclined to over race during the middle stages of the event.

RAGING WHITEBAIT NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

 

RACE 4 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE PACE – 1609 metres

GUILTY PARTY – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

THALASSOPHOBIA – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Raced three wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader near the 1000 metres.

ROCLEA IMAGE – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

MCWIZARD – Unable to secure clear running at any stage of the home straight and was not fully tested.

MONTEFIORE NZ – Raced three wide in the early and middle stages before crossing to the position outside of the leader near the 800 metres.

 

RACE 5 – CLUB MENANGLE PJ HALL FFA (LISTED CLASSIC) – 1609 metres

RAKERO ROCKET NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

UBETCHA TIGERPIE – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

PETES SAID SO NZ – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare guidelines.  No abnormalities were detected.

UNFAZED NZ – Unable to secure clear running at any stage of the home straight and was not fully tested.

PERFECT STRIDE NZ – Commenced to weaken passing the 200 metres and gave ground over the concluding stages. 

 

RACE 6 – TINTIN IN AMERICA @ WINGATE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

WHAT FOR – Weakened over the concluding stages.

SHARK DANCER – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

HEZA PLAYER NZ – Prior to entering the parade ring trainer’s representative B Elder notified officials that he had a concern with the fitness of HEZA PLAYER NZ.  Upon examination by the official veterinarian HEZA PLAYER NZ was found to be suffering from a mild bout of colic.  Adopting the veterinary recommendations HEZA PLAYER NZ was declared a late scratching at 8.52pm.  Connections were advised that HEZA PLAYER NZ would be stood down for a period of seven days and until a veterinary certificate of fitness is submitted.

YUKON BE SERIOUS NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

 

RACE 7 – PETER CARSON TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300 metres

AFFAIRE DE COVER – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare guidelines.  No abnormalities were detected.

EL RESAMO – Unable to secure clear running until shifting out near the 100 metres.  Driver M Stanley pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the 100 metres when shifting EL RESAMO wider on the track he placed significant pressure on CONSTANTINOPLE and bumped that runner as he worked into clear running to the outside of RAKERO BLAZE NZ and subsequently CONSTANTINOPLE was checked, became unbalanced and broke gait.  In assessing penalty consideration was given to M Stanley’s guilty plea, forthright evidence and overall good driving record. In addition, consideration was given to the proximity of the incident to the finish and the degree of interference.  M Stanley had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 14 days.

RAKERO BLAZE NZ – At the finish shifted in causing LONDON TO A BRICK to be steadied.

CONSTANTINOPLE – Approaching the 100 metres was shifted wider by EL RESAMO and as that runner improved to the inside it continued to shift wider resulting in CONSTANTINOPLE being bumped, becoming unbalanced and breaking gait.

LONDON TO A BRICK – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Close to the finish line had to be steadied when RAKERO BLAZE NZ shifted in.  Re-included in the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 8 – ULTRA AIR PACE – 1609 metres

FLO RYDA NZ – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare guidelines.  No abnormalities were detected. 

CAPTAIN BLOOD – While circling behind the mobile it was noted that CAPTAIN BLOOD was not walking freely.  A pre-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be 3/5 lame in the off hind leg.  Subsequently CAPTAIN BLOOD was declared a late scratching at 10.02pm.  Acting on veterinary advice connections were advised that CAPTAIN BLOOD would be stood down for a period of seven days and until a veterinary certificate of fitness is submitted.

VINKE B NZ – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

ONE FOR THE RODI – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.
