RACE 1 – TURNERS FURNITURE ONE PACE – 1720 metres
STAR CONNECTION – Slow to begin from the mobile before racing roughly after the start for which a warning was issued. Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 43.9 metres.
SUNSET JAY JAY – Held up for clear running and was not fully tested.
RAKADEAKS NZ – Broke gait passing the 1450 metres which a warning was issued. Sustained a flat tyre and was retired.
TIME TO TORQUE – Post-race swab sample.
THE HUSTLER NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 2 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1720 metres
MAMMALS HEART – Raced roughly rounding the first turn for which a warning was issued.
OUR SURFIN SAFARI – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 3 – SWSBANK PACE – 1720 metres
RIP JACKSON – Driver Nathan Turnbull was fined $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip in more than a wrist only flicking motion over the concluding stages. Post-race swab sample.
SPRING DELIGHT - Pre-race blood sample. Checked passing the 1300 metres as a result of DUSTY MUSTER giving ground.
CLARENDEN VINTAGE – Had a tendency to shift out under pressure.
PEAKSART – Inconvenienced passing the 1500 metres as a result of ITZ BAD breaking gait.
DUSTY MUSTER – After racing outside the leader tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 62.7 metres for which a warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
OAK RIDGE – Driver James Locke was fined $400 under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip in more than a wrist only flicking motion over the concluding stages.
ITZ BAD – Approaching the 1500 metres became unbalanced and broke gait for which a warning was issued.
LOYOLA GOLF – Approaching the 1500 metres was checked as a result of ITZ BAD breaking gait.
RACE 4 – ARMA INSURANCE BROKERS PACE – 1720 metres
THATS THE ATTITUDE – Post-race swab sample.
MEGS MONARO – Pre-race blood sample. A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Approaching the 100 metres broke under pressure for which a warning was issued.
HOLME BOY – Broke gait approaching the 1450 metres when being restrained for which a warning was issued. Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 48.2 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
GLENN FORD NZ - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
SERGEANT STRINGER – Rounding the final turn hung in and contacted marker pegs.
RACE 5 – T & D STOCKFEEDS PACE – 2100 metres
MAJOR ALLEGIANCE – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
MULLUM AXEL – Driver Matthew Atkinson was questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance of the gelding, where after being able to lead the gelding gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 38.9 metres into 8th position. Mr Atkinson explained MULLUM AXEL when leading was pressured by THANKS BE TO GOD for the majority of the trip and he felt the gelding may also be better suited to racing over the shorter distances. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
NEEDBEE – Approaching the 1800 metres broke gait for which a warning was issued.
THANKS BE TO GOD – Driver Todd Day was issued a reprimand under Rule 170(1)(a) for permitting his right foot to drop from the sulky stirrups momentarily.
MIRADOR LASS – Inconvenienced approaching the 1800 metres as a result of NEEDBEE breaking gait.
WHEN TO WALK AWAY – Checked approaching the 1800 metres as a result of NEEDBEE breaking gait.
THE EX HORSEIST – Inconvenienced passing the 1800 metres as a result of NEEDBEE breaking gait.
SNEAK A PEEK NZ – Checked passing the 1800 metres as a result of NEEDBEE breaking gait.
MULLUM GUIDO - Inconvenienced passing the 1800 metres as a result of NEEDBEE breaking gait.
SMOKIN POCKET - Inconvenienced passing the 1800 metres as a result of NEEDBEE breaking gait.
RACE 6 – AUSTRALIAN HOTEL PACE – 1720 metres
CENTREFIRE – Pre-race blood sample. Trainer Nathan Turnbull was questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance of the gelding. Mr Turnbull explained it was the first run for the stable, and the gelding had worked and trialled well leading into tonight’s event and the stable were confident of a forward showing. Post-race swab sample.
PADDY MACH - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being in excess of 12 years of age. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
GOODTIME JAZZI – Approaching the 1400 metres locked wheels and was inconvenienced momentarily with PYEKAKARIKI.
PYEKAKARIKI – Locked wheels with GOODTIME JAZZI approaching the 1400 metres and was inconvenienced.
TULHURST ELVIS – Inconvenienced passing the 1400 metres as a result of GOODTIME JAZZI and PYEKAKARIKI locking wheels. Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
RACE 7 – POPPAS FUDGE FACTORY PACE – 2100 metres
SHOOBEES SUNSET – Hung out under pressure for which a warning was issued.
THROWDOWN HOEDOWN – Held up for clear running in the home straight and not fully tested.
TULHURST CHASE – Obtained a run to the inside of SHOOBEES SUNSET when that runner was hanging out under pressure. Post-race swab sample.
BETHS FURY – Pre-race blood sample.
SPARKLING BLING – Inconvenienced as a result of DREAM TO CURE breaking gait.
DREAM TO CURE – Approaching the 1850 metres was tightened as a result of GOT FORGOT THAT hanging in and as a result broke gait. At the request of connections DREAM TO CURE will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.
GOT FORGOT THAT – Hung in placing DREAM TO CURE into restricted room. Inconvenienced when DREAM TO CURE broke gait. Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 51.4 metres. Considering the overall manners and performance of GOT FORGOT THAT the gelding was placed on its last chance to race truly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
GEE YOUNG – Inconvenienced approaching the 1850 metres as a result of DREAM TO CURE breaking gait.
RACE 8 – DONGES IGA PACE – 1720 metres
ROCKIN SWEET – Raced roughly rounding the first turn. Post-race swab sample.
ROCK QUEEN – Pre-race blood sample.
KARINYA MAX – Passing the 600 metres hung in and raced roughly before breaking gait for which a warning was issued.
GLAMORS SYMBOL - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the mare having in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
RACE 9 –YOUNG SERVICES CLUB 3YO PACE – 1720 metres
TREBELLION – Slow to begin from the mobile.
TOMMY TERROR – Hung out under pressure.
CEEBEE – Approaching the 1450 metres broke gait and will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.
MARINE CREATURE – Driver Will Cassell pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that passing the 1600 metres he has allowed MARINE CREATURE to shift down the track when not sufficiently clear of ROCK TOGETHER causing that runner to be checked and break gait. Driver Will Cassell had his licence to drive in race suspended for a period of 14 days to commence midnight 3 February 2026. In assessing penalty, Stewards considered Mr Cassell’s plea, record in relation to the rule and the circumstances of this incident.
SINFUL KISS – Trainer Mat Rue was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to notify any gear for the filly.
DICTATING – Checked passing the 1600 metres as a result of ROCK TOGETHER breaking gait. Post-race swab sample.
ROCK TOGETHER – Approaching the 1600 metres was checked and broke as a result of MARINE CREATURE shifting down the track when not sufficiently clear.
ARMA BLAZE – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced approaching the 1500 metres as a result of ROCK TOGETHER breaking gait. Checked approaching the 1400 metres as a result of CEEBEE breaking gait. Approaching the 700 metres became unbalanced and broke gait and was retired from the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed ARMA BLAZE to be suffering a suspected fracture to the near side hind leg. Acting on veterinary advice the filly was stood down until a veterinary certificate of clearance is provided.
I AM TARA – Inconvenienced approaching the 1500 metres as a result of ROCK TOGETHER breaking gait. Inconvenienced again approaching the 1400 metres as a result of CEEBEE breaking gait. Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 67.7 metres. In view of the overall performance of the filly, I AM TARA will be required to perform one requalifying trial.
RACE 10 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 2100 metres
ROCKNROLL GRACE – Rounding the first turn hung in and contacted a marker peg. Had a tendency to over race throughout the event.
OUR GIRL ECHO – Pre-race blood sample. After racing outside the leader gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 48.7 metres.
MERRYWOOD ROSIE – Post-race swab sample.
RACING RAY – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 54.6 metres for which a warning was issued.
ONE STUNNIN MELODY – Rounding the first turn jumped a marker peg and broke gait. No action was taken.
