RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 2270 metres
BONDI LASS – When questioned regarding the below market expectations performance of the mare, Trainer/Driver C Rauchenberger stated that the mare is probably better suited to races over a shorter distance than that of today’s event. She added that it travelled well until KYLEIGH improved to her outside near the 1000 metres and it grabbed the bit at that stage and travelled keenly from that point which hampered its ability to be able to finish the race off strongly.
LESSISMORE – Tired over the concluding stages of the event. Driver T Osmond was questioned regarding the performance, she stated that they got caught facing the breeze in the running line in the early and middle stages of the event which does not suit the mare. She added that with the heat today, over the longer distance and the mare not racing since the 19th of January combined effected her ability to be able to finish the race off in her view. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities, although it was reported that it had a slower than normal recovery. A warning was placed on the mare for its performance.
