RACE 1 – SS&A ALBURY SKYLIGHT LOUNGE PACE – 1770 metres

General: The start this event was delayed two (2) minutes due to BULLETIN sustaining a flat tyre in the pre-race circle. This event was subsequently shown on Sky Racing 2.

LIKE NO OTHER – Pre-race swab. Broke gait free of interference rounding the first turn. LIKE NO OTHER will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. In taking this action in accordance with HRNSW Horse Breaking Gait Guidelines Stewards were mindful LIKE NO OTHER was only having its second race start.

CATIES SON – Post-race swab.

HEZA STARMAN – Checked rounding the first turn when LIKE NO OTHER broke gait.

BULLETIN – Hung inwards despite the driver’s efforts inside the final 400m contacting & dislodging marker pegs.

RACE 2– DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY SUPER MAIDEN – 1770 metres

General: The start this event was delayed two (2) minutes due to on course entertainment. This event was subsequently shown on Sky Racing 2.

RYKER – Pre-race swab. Broke gait free of interference entering the first turn. A warning was issued against the racing manners of RYKER.

BUBBLESONTHEBEACH – Pre-race swab.

YANKEE BABE – Post-race swab.

THE PRIVATE DEAL – Declared a late scratching at 2:29pm on veterinary advice.

THE KID BILLY – Broke during the early stages of the score up THE KID BILLY will continue to be drawn right outside the barrier draw in future mobile start events.

RACE 3 – TRAVLA DON’T FENCE ME IN PACE – 1770 metres

General: The start this event was delayed two (2) minutes due to Race 8 at Mackay Thoroughbreds being behind their scheduled starting time.

KYLEIGH – ($2.30 Fav) Pre-race swab. Driver Lochie Painting was queried into the tactics adopted upon the mare in particularly his decision when leading unchallenged setting a strong speed in recording a first half in 58.1 seconds & if he gave consideration to ease the pace at any stage to allow the mare some respite. Prior to being placed under pressure from the passing the 400m to finish in 3rd position beaten 8.6m. Mr Painting advised he was instructed from the good barrier one (1) position to urge the mare forward and hold the lead and once able to set even fractions as the mare can be quite relaxed in races and does not possess any high speed and could be out sprinted if was to set a slower tempo during the event. Mr Painting added KYLEIGH to somewhat be disappointing and may not have back up from its most recent race start seven (7) days prior and mare having its third (3) start in 13 days. After viewing the available replays Stewards held concerns with the tactics adopted during the first half in particular during the second quarter there was an opportunity to steady the tempo of the race and allow some respite to his runner however took the matter no further and noted the comments of Mr Painting. Trainer Jackon Painting advised KYLEIGH to be disappointing and to have a delayed post-race recovery and it would be his intentions to have blood samples obtain from the mare in the coming days to confirm any abnormalities. Mr Painting will be contacted in the ensuring days following the recovery of KYLEIGH

FLOJOS BEST – Sulky contacted entering the first turn when ROLL TO THE TOP hung outwards.

BONDI LASS – ($7.50) Pre-race swab. Trainer/driver Codi Rauchenberger was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the mare which finished in 8th and last position beaten 36.1m. Ms Rauchenberger advised the mare to be disappointing and could offer no tangible explanation for the performance other than BONDI LASS failed to race in a genuine manner & it would be her intentions to have the mare examined by her stable veterinarian and BONDI LASS would now have a short let from racing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormities.

ROLL TO THE TOP – Hung outwards entering the first turn and contacted the sulky wheel of FLOJOS BEST and broke gait. A warning was issued against the racing manners of ROLL TO THE TOP.

RACE 4– MCGUIGAN SINGLE BATCH PACE – 1770 metres

MASTER GOUDA – Post-race swab.

ORAMA – Pre-race swab.

BETTERTHANTHEBOYZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

BOSS MAJOR – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

RACE 5 – TRAVLA AUSTRALIAN LAGER PACE – 1770 metres

WARIEDA BOY – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

BEACH DELIGHT – Post-race swab.

LOVE A BELLE – Pre-race swab.

HIGHVIEW HAMMER – Trainer Corey Bell was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 210 for the late declaration of the driver upon the gelding. Driver Corey Bell was issued a reprimand for allowing his foot to drop from the foot rest shortly after the start effected.

FLOPPA – Broke gait on two (2) separate occasion clear of interference passing the 1400m and passing the 700m. Driver Tasmyn Potter advised the gelding failed handle the smaller racing circuit which was the main reason the gelding breaking gait. FLOPPA will now be stood down from racing until trialling the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

OURSURFINSAFARI – Raced roughly passing the 150m. Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

RACE 6 – SS&A ALBURY LOCKER ROOM PACE – 1770 metres

General: A false start was declared at the first attempt when MIKI LOCH broke gait during the latter stages of the score up checking runners on the second row. This event was subsequently shown on Sky Racing 2.

JILLIBY ILLUSION – ($5.50) Driver Abby Sanderson was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 6th position beaten 10m after leading. Ms Sanderson advised the mare to be disappointing and contributed the performance to the mare becoming agitated after the false start & rising in grade to recent starts & combined being pressured during the middle stages of the event after having not started in a month.

MIKI LOCH – Broke gait during the latter stages of the score up checking runners on the second row and a false start being declared. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of MIKI LOCH. Driver Amy Diebert was issued a reprimand for easing the past when restraining the gelding passing the 1300m.

LE BETTY – Inconvenienced passing the 1300m when MIKI LOCH eased the pace.

USYK – Post-race swab.

OUR SPECIAL MEMORY – ($4.80) Driver Taylah Osmond was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 7th position beaten 10.3m. Ms Osmond advised the mare to disappointing and contributed the performance to the mare failing to handle the smaller racing circuit which resulted in OUR SPECIAL MEMORY cross firing and spring a off fore shoe during the event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 7 – TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS FAST PASS – 2170 metres

VIEW THE ART – Pulled hard throughout the event.

ULTIMATE HUGHEY – Pre-race swab. Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having not started in the preceding 12 months. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

MIKI BE GOOD – Post-race swab.

PROTAGONIST – ($6.50) Driver Brad Hewitt was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the gelding which finished in 5th position beaten 45.4m after racing outside the leader throughout. Mr Hewitt advised the gelding to be disappointing and contributed the performance to the gelding over racing during the early stages of the event and racing without cover in a track record time of 1.56.3. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 8 – SS&A ALBURY MURRAY CUP (LISTED CLASSIC) – 2570 metres

KIMCANDO – Fractious leaving the pre-race circle.

DOM TORETTO NZ – Post-race swab.

WESTERN SONADOR ($26.00) Driver Ryan Sanderson was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 7th and last position beaten 13.9m. Mr Sanderson advised the gelding to be disappointing over the final 400m. Mr Sanderson explained WESTERN SONADOR does have a tendency not to travel sufficiently at various stages of the event which was the main reason the gelding was pushed wider on the track passing the 400m and appearing to be under pressure prior commencing racing in a more genuine manner afterwards.
