RACE 1 – HARNESS THE EXCITEMENT WITH APG TROTTERS STANDING START HANDICAP – 2300 metres

GENERAL – A false start was declared on the first occasion when the 20 metre strand was released prematurely.

ITSALLANDOVER – Galloped out at the start for which a warning was issued.

MY HIGH PEAK – Galloped out at the start and at the request of connections MY HIGH PEAK will now be excluded from the standing start draw. 

TUMULT – Galloped out at the start then paced for a short distance for which the mare was issued its last chance in the standing start draw.

EWING – Post-race swab sample.

HES A HAMMER – Pre-race blood sample.  Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1800 metres.

AFFAIRE DE COVER – Pre & post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

RACE 2 – CANNIBAL STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

SAPPHIRESNDIAMONDS – Pre-race blood sample. 

HE IS GOLD CLASS – Stewards questioned driver B McDonough in relation to the performance of the colt ($2.80 fav) when beaten 12.6 metres and finishing in seventh position.  Mr McDonough explained that it was only the colt’s second race start in today’s event and felt that the colt would take benefit from the run and was not disappointed in the overall performance.

GIDGETT KAY – Post-race swab sample.

HESAA LISTER – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1250 metres.

 

RACE 3 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE PACE – 1609 metres

CLASSIC MAJOR – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

BETTOR BE LUCKY – Pre & post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being 12 years of age and having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Raced in restricted room from the 250 metres to the inside of VESPA STRIDE and to the outside of CLASSIC MAJOR when CLASSIC MAJOR was shifting up the track marginally whilst being held up. 

A VAPAR STORM – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1200 metres.  Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

LARRIKIN LENNY – Post-race swab sample.

VESPA STRIDE – Pre-race blood sample. 

 

RACE 4 – MENANGLE PARK GLENLEE COMMUNITY PACE – 1609 metres

EYEKNOW – Became unbalanced and galloped passing the 100 metres for which the mare was issued its last chance to race truly.

DELIGHTFUL CHARM – Hampered leaving the 700 metres when locking wheels momentarily with AMERICAN WEREWOLF which was racing to its inside.

TISBURY ROCKS NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Unable to secure clear running in the latter stages of the home straight and was not fully tested.

AMERICAN WEREWOLF – Hampered leaving the 700 metres when locking wheels momentarily with DELIGHTFUL CHARM and as a result paced roughly when disengaging.

RIPPLES NZ – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 5 – FARMER JOES FOOD SERVICES PACE – 1609 metres

STELLA STRIDE – Trainer R Alchin was fined $50 under rule 210 for failing to declare A Delosa as the driver by the prescribed time.

GENERAL MISCONDUCT – Galloped out at the start for which the mare will now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

MAXO MIGHTY – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

MYTH YOU ALREADY – Driver C Hart was fined $50 under rule 162(1)(h) in that he failed to come up into position at the starting point.

LEOTA – Will now be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 6 – HYLAND HARNESS COLOURS PACE – 1609 metres

LILS NIGHTMARE NZ – Raced roughly approaching the 400 metres for a short distance.

UNCHAINMYART – Became unbalanced during the early stages of the score up which the mare will now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.  Driver J Callaghan reported to Stewards that he was slightly disappointed in the overall performance of the mare however felt that the run may have been explained by being positioned outside of the leader in a fast mile rate in today’s event.

SURF ACE – Post-race swab sample.

MAJOR ICON NZ – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1200 metres.

AMERICAN BOXER – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 7 – IRT PACE – 1609 metres

DUTY OF CARE – Hung out and contacted the sulky wheel of CORTEZ passing the 400 metres and as a result paced roughly momentarily.

OUR UNCLE JIM – Pre & post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

CORTEZ – Hung in marginally and contacted the legs of DUTY OF CARE momentarily leaving the 400 metres.

BALTUSROL – Post-race swab sample.

BARNABY NZ – Hampered as a result of BALTUSROL hanging in marginally passing the 500 metres.

DONTLETFEARSTOPYA NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 8 – BE HAPPY MACH @ WINGATE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

MCWIZARD – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

GIMME A REASON – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

BARTELLO – Trainer G Ellul was fined $50 under rule 210 for failing to declare C Hart as the driver by the prescribed time.  Post-race swab sample.

MIKI COHEN NZ – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1100 metres.

ROMANEE NZ – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight on the final occasion.

OUTSIDE FIGHTER – Pre-race blood sample.  Pre & post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.
