RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE HRNSW GUARANTEED TWO YEAR OLD PACE – 1609 metres
VON BRAUN – Pre-race sample was taken.
CHANGES – Commenced to hang out prior to entering the home straight for the run to the finish. A warning was issued.
RISEABOVETHEREST – Post-race sample was taken.
HARMS LULLABY – Broke stride shortly after the start was issued. Given its limited experience connections were advised it would be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 2 – HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEANO PACE – 1609 metres
A LITTLE DILEMMA – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
ROCKNROLL CLARRY – Pre-race sample was taken.
GIRLSGOTCURLS – Had a tendency to hang out whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.
QUICKSHIFT GIRL – Post-race sample was taken.
RACE 3 – BONVILLA ESTATE WINES PACE – 1609 metres
WALLAROY BOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
BREXITT – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
CAPTAIN DORIAN – Post-race sample was taken.
BE GOOD BENNY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
ULTIMATE RHAPSODY – Pre-race sample was taken.
NEXT TO ME NZ – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event. Hampered as the field negotiated the first turn as a result of the tempo easing in the event.
RACE 4 – PSC INSURANCE PACE – 1609 metres
SWEETLY SPOKEN – Tightened for racing room passing the 1100 metres.
ROYAL GAMBLE NZ – Held up for clear running in the latter stages of the run to the finish.
KATLAS DREAM – Pre-race sample was taken. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted in particular the reasons for the decision to move from the running line to the marker pegs passing the 1100 metres trainer/driver G Panella explained that in her opinion the more favoured runners in the event were racing along the marker pegs felt was her best chance in the event to finish in the highest position as opposed to having to make a wide run rounding the final turn. KATLAS DREAM finished off the event well. Stewards noted her comments.
CHEVRON FLIES NZ – Post-race sample was taken.
RACE 5 – BARASTOC PACE – 2030 metres
SILENT FEARS – Galloped away as the start was affected. A warning was issued. Broke stride as the field negotiated the final turn free of interference. A warning was issued.
STAY FOOLISH – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.
SWEET TARA – Driver D Morgan was cautioned in relation to a manoeuvre leaving the back straight from the marker pegs to a running line position which hampered the running of NIFTY STUDLEIGH.
MISTER POVERTY – Post-race sample was taken.
ADRENALINE RUSH – Hampered shortly after the start was affected.
NIFTY STUDLEIGH – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Pre-race sample was taken. Had a tendency to race roughly shortly after the start was affected. Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn.
RACE 6 – HAPPY 65TH BIRTHDAY GREG FRAZER PACE – 1609 metres
THE TAX CULLECTOR – Had a tendency to hang out whilst under pressure in the early stages of the run to the finish which in turn took YESNOMAYBESO slightly wider on the track which as a result restricted the racing room of AVENGER NZ.
AVENGER NZ – Tightened for racing room shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish.
MACK PACK NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.
RIPPIN RUPERT – Had a tendency to hang in during the middle stages of the score up.
YESNOMAYBESO – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Post-race sample was taken.
SWEEK ROCKY – Broke stride in the latter stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected. A warning was issued.
RACE 7 – TOOHEYS PACE – 2030 metres
DONTLETFEARSTOPYA NZ – Had a tendency to hang out whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.
GRUMPYSHANNON – Sustained a contact to the off side wheel which resulted in a puncture prior to leaving the back straight on the final occasion and as a result weakened out of the event to finish well back.
OBADIAH DRAGON NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities. Post-race sample was taken.
SENSATIONALIZE – Driver W Rixon was fined the sum of $200 under rule 168(1)(a) in that when leaving the back straight on the final occasion permitted his runner to shift wider on the track when trailing too close in the opinion of the Stewards to the off side wheel of GRUMPYSHANNON and as a result contact was made shortly thereafter was punctured.
RACE 8 – SOMERSET MEATS PACE – 1609 metres
COOL NIGHT – Post-race sample was taken.
ILLAWONG DANNY – Broke stride during the early stages of the score up and ultimately checked the running of HEZA PLAYER NZ. A warning was issued as a result of a false start being declared. Both drivers B Hughes (ILLAWONG DANNY) and G Panella (HEZA PLAYER NZ) were advised that greater efforts to avoid a repetition in terms of a false start being declared need to be made in future otherwise severe penalties would be incurred.
ALTA MAGACIAN NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.
RACE 9 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres
FAZE OF GLORY NZ – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.
