RACE 1 – LIVAMOL PACE – 1609 metres

General – The start of this race was delayed, when the mobile barrier arms failed to operate correctly when setting up prior to the start and the replacement mobile was required.

HES A MEISTER NZ – Post-race swab sample.

IDEAL MARQUESS – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced when the pace of the event slackened approaching the 1100 metres.       

GIPSY PRINCESS – Inconvenienced and raced roughly when the pace of the event slackened approaching the 1100 metres.

THALASSOPHOBIA – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres. Hung out under pressure over the concluding stages.

BUSINESS IN HEAVEN – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced approaching the 1100 metres when the pace of the event slackened.

HUGO MAGUIRE NZ – Held up over the final 100 metres and not fully tested.

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 1609 metres

TUKAHA – Post-race swab sample.

GIMME A REASON – Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride free of interference approaching the 1200 metres. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued. Checked behind the tiring SHARK DANCER approaching the 400 metres.

SHARK DANCER – Commenced to give ground approaching the 400 metres and locked wheels with ASTRAL STRIDE causing both ASTRAL STRIDE and GIMME A REASON to be checked and SMOKESCREEN to be checked and break stride.

SMOKESCREEN – Checked and broke stride passing the 400 metres as a result of SHARK DANCER commencing to give ground and locking wheels with ASTRAL STRIDE.

ASTRAL STRIDE – Locked wheels with SHARK DANCER passing the 400 metres when that runner commenced to give ground causing ASTRAL STRIDE to be checked.

MCWIZARD – Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 3 – YIRRIBEE STUD LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

SHE THE DEVIL – Broke stride during the latter stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued.

FARFALLA STRIDE – Inconvenienced approaching the 1200 metres when the pace of the event was slackened by PET KITTY which was looking to take cover. Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

REFUSAL – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced and hung out passing the 1300 metres when PET KITTY slackened the pace of the event looking to take cover. Held up in the home straight and was not fully tested.

LULLABY NZ – Inconvenienced approaching the 1200 metres when PET KITTY slackened the tempo of the event looking to take cover.

BABY YOUR THE ONE – inconvenienced passing the 200 metres when PRINCESS MICKAYLA was shifted wider on the track.

DRAW A DREAM – Worked forward to the lead approaching the 1200 metres.

WHILEMENA RITA – Pre-race blood sample. Inconvenienced passing the 200 metres when PRINCESS MICKAYLA was shifted wider on the track. Post-race swab sample. Driver James Locke pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a), in that he applied the whip to the mare in the home straight in a manner which was considered not to be a wrist only flicking motion. After considering the recent record of Mr Locke, in addition to the HRNSW penalty guidelines, His licence to drive in races was fined $400 and his licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days to commence midnight 23 February 2026.

RACE 4 – CONFEDERATE STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

RED REACTOR NZ – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding has competed in excess of 200 starts. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Pre-race blood sample.

LENNETH – Post-race swab sample.

ISLA ROCHELLE – Broke stride free of interference passing the 350 metres inconveniencing LOVE LOU. After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued.

MESSERATI – Pre-race blood sample.

HUXTON NZ – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres.

LOVE LOU – Inconvenienced approaching the 300 metres when ISLA ROCHELLE broke stride.

RACE 5 – ULTRA AIR PACE – 1609 metres

OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

DOUGS FLAME – Pre-race blood sample. Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.

LOYALIST NZ – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 150 metres.

DOUBLE LOU – Cast a plate momentarily prior to the start of the event. Post-race swab sample.

SAINT CRUSADER – Hung out during the score up and broke stride and as a result was out of position at the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

RACE 6 – WARDS ACCOUNITING GROUP PACE – 2300 metres

General – The start of this race was delayed, when the mobile barrier arms failed to operate correctly when setting up prior to the start and the replacement mobile was required.

FASHION ICON – Galloped out. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

KANENA PROVLIMA – Pre-race blood sample.

HUTA NZ – Driver George Lee pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a), in that he applied the whip to the gelding in the middle stages of the home straight in a manner which was considered not to be a wrist only flicking motion. After considering the recent record of Mr Lee, in addition the HRNSW penalty guidelines, he was fined $200.

JAY OK – Post-race swab sample.

CRAFTMANS CHARLIE – Pre-race blood sample. Over raced outside the leader through the middle stages of the event.

RACE 7 – CLUB MENANGLE SIMPSON MEMORIAL (LISTED CLASSIC) – 1609 metres

HOLLYWOOD STRIP – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

ZEUS LIGHTNING NZ – Examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to the running of the event and was cleared to take its place. Pre-race blood sample. Hung in under pressure over the concluding stages.

SHOWMETHETANLINES NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 8 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES PACE – 1609 metres

D J ROCK NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

ALTA BILLY – Worked forward to the lead approaching the 1200 metres. Gave ground over the concluding stages to finish in 8^th placing beaten 37 metres. Stewards questioned Driver Amanda Turnbull with regards to the performance of the gelding who advised she was disappointed with the performance of ALTA BILLY this evening, albeit the gelding had performed similarly at Menangle on previous occasions. Miss Turnbull further advised the gelding was having only its third run back from a spell after having missed a start at the cancelled Blayney meeting the prior weekend and she felt it would take benefit from the run. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities. After considering the explanation provided by Miss Turnbull, Stewards determined to note her comments.

THE METAL FLYER – Driver KerryAnn Morris pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(20(a), in that she applied the whip to the gelding in the home straight in a manner which was considered not to be a wrist only flicking motion. After considering the recent record of Mrs Morris, in addition to the HRNSW penalty guidelines, she was fined $200.

RACE 9 – AINSWORTH A-STAR TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

EWING – Pre-race blood sample.

MAXIMUS MERIDIUS – Pre-race blood sample. Over raced during the middle stages.

MALIBUU – Galloped out. After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued. Driver Zara Fitzpatrick was cautioned for warming up in the opposite direction.

SUNNY GEE – Post-race swab sample.

JUNGLE EYES – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1000 metres.

I AM HELLBOUND – Back in the mobile barrier draw.

TOP OF THE MOMENT NZ – Broke stride momentarily passing the 350 metres. After considering the recent record of the gelding, it was given its last chance to race truly.
