RACE 1 – RADIO 2PK / ROK FM PACE – 1660 metres

TULHURST TIMMY – Post-race sample.

ZOLTON – Trainer/driver J Brown was queried on the gelding’s overall performance which failed to run on over the final 400 metres to finish in tenth and last position beaten 71 metres.  He stated after being caught three wide in the early stages elected to restrain to the tail of the field to obtain cover and when doing so the gelding raced rough throughout the event and never travelled comfortable at any stage.  He further added the gelding had missed some work leading up into the event due to the recent wet weather.  His comments were noted.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.  The gelding will be given its last chance to race truly.

SAVAGE STORM – Driver J Hewitt was questioned on the mare’s overall performance which  commenced to give ground from the 400 metres. Mr Hewitt was disappointed in the mare’s overall performance but believed she may be better driven in a more aggressive manner to either lead or race outside the leader where she has performed at her best in recent starts.  His comments were noted.

RACE 2 – CLARINDA PARK IT LEADING DRIVER / JETT TURNBULL PACE – 1660 metres

GABBYS SPORTSTAR – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the gelding has had over 200 race starts.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

HAZZA IS WATCHING – Prior to all clear Stewards viewed the available race day footage and questioned driver Ella Turnbull in regards to HAZZA IS WATCHING improving to the inside of POTTER when leaving the 300 metres and if the gelding had gained an advantage when racing inside marker pegs at that point.  After viewing the race day footage and considering the evidence from driver E Turnbull and trainer J Turnbull Stewards concluded that when approaching the 300 metres HAZZA IS WATCHING has improved to the inside of POTTER when not fully establishing a run for horse and sulky to the inside of that runner and then when being tightened has raced to the inside of two marker pegs and improved her position to the inside of POTTER.  Stewards believed that HAZZA IS WATCHING had gained an unfair advantage and under rule 66(1)(h) HAZZA IS WATCHING was disqualified from the event.  At a subsequent inquiry driver E Turnbull pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 163(1)(c)(i) in that when approaching the 300 metres when not fully establishing a run for horse and sulky to the inside of POTTER when being tightened has allowed her runner to progress forward when racing inside marker pegs, racing inside marker pegs. Considering Miss Turnbull’s guilty plea and her relative inexperience, Ms Turnbull`s licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 14 days.  The suspension is to commence at midnight on 11 March 2026.  Post-race sample.

GLENN FORD NZ – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the gelding has had over 200 race starts.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

RACE 3 – DEANS HYDRAULICS LEADING TRAINER / NATHAN TURNBULL PACE – 2040 metres

LUCKY LENNY – Pre-race blood.  Broke stride in the early stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start.  A warning was issued.  The gelding took no competitive part in the race.

VALDEZZ – Post-race sample.

SMOKING SHANNON – Had a tendency to over race throughout the event. 

 

RACE 4 – HARNESS BREEDERS NSW SAPPHIRE SERIES – 1660 metres

VIOLET JAY – Held up for clear racing room until the final 100 metres.

JEWEL MISTRESS – Pre-race blood.  Post-race sample.

ROCKINDOWNUNDER – Leaving the 750 metres became unbalanced and broke stride.  A warning was issued.

 

RACE 5 – WORKLOCKER PARKES LOCAL TRAINER / GRANT JONES PACE – 1660 metres

STUDLEIGH STARLITE – Driver O Frisby pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 168(1)(a) in that approaching the 100 metres when attempting to shift SHES NO HONEY wider to obtain clear running was unable to do so made contact to the sulky of ROCKIN SWEET.  Considering Miss Frisby’s record in relation to this rule and her guilty plea her licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of seven days.  This suspension is to commence at midnight on 15 March 2026.

LIMBO LENNY – Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and was not fully tested.

LOYOLA GOLF – Over raced throughout the event whilst leading.  Post-race sample.

SPRINGFIELD DESIRE – Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.

ROCKIN SWEET – Pre-race blood.  Approaching the 100 metres the outside sulky wheel was contacted by STUDLEIGH STARLITE who was attempting a run to the outside.

 

RACE 6 – TERRY BROTHERS 3YO NSW BRED PACE – 1660 metres

PROMISE ME ART – Over raced throughout the event.

LAMNA NASUS – Approaching the 200 metres hung in under pressure and contacted marker pegs. 

LIMERYCK LANE – Approaching the 400 metres when racing under pressure raced roughly for a short distance.  A warning was issued.

MAJOR DISASTER – Raced roughly shortly after the start.  The gelding will be given its last chance in the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

KARINYA ROCKY – Approaching the 200 metres became unbalanced and broke stride.  Considering it was the gelding’s second race start it will be required to requalify on one occasion prior to racing.  Post-race sample.

DOSHI – Pre-race blood.  Approaching the 200 metres checked and broke as a result of KARINYA ROCKY breaking stride.

MAMMALS JEWEL – At the request of connections the filly will be placed back in the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

 

RACE 7 – GOLDEN BOYS STABLES / JETT TURNBULL PACE – 1660 metres

HARVEYS TOOTH – Approaching the 600 metres became unbalanced and broke stride.  A waring was issued.

CAPTAIN LLANFAIR – Raced roughly shortly after the start.  Approaching the 600 metres was checked when HARVEYS TOOTH broke stride.

LAST FLITE – Post-race sample.

RUSTY VEEJAY – Pre-race blood.  Approaching the 200 metres hung in under pressure and contacted marker pegs.

TULHURST CHASE – Approaching the 600 metres was checked as a result of HARVEYS TOOTH breaking stride.  Entering the home straight on the final occasion was inconvenienced when locking wheels with SOHO BETTY DEE.  As there was minimal shift from both runners no further action was taken.

SOHO BETTY DEE – Approaching the 600 metres was checked and broke when trailing HARVEYS TOOTH who had broke stride.  Entering the home straight on the final occasion was inconvenienced when locking wheels with TULHURST CHASE.  As there was minimal shift from both runners no further action was taken.

CALM FRANCO – Approaching the 600 metres was checked because of HARVEYS TOOTH breaking stride. 

NAVIE JO – Approaching the 600 metres was checked because of HARVEYS TOOTH breaking stride.  At the request of connections, the filly will be placed back in the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

 

RACE 8 – PARKES LEAGUES CLUB JUVENILE HORSE / SANDERS PACE – 1660 metres

GEE YOUNG – Post-race sample.

LLANFAIR ROCKY – Pre-race blood.  When negotiating the first turn hung out when racing greenly.  A warning was issued.  Furthermore, the gelding was checked when JUSTAQUICKSCHOONER broke stride and shifted out.

JUSTAQUICKSCHOONER – When negotiating the first turn broke stride and shifted out.  As it was the colt’s second race start it will be stood down for one requalifying trial.

BODELETOS – When negotiating the first turn was inconvenienced and shifted down the track to avoid JUSTAQUICKSCHOONER who had broke stride.  Held up for clear racing room until the final 70 metres.

CHASIN YOU – Inconvenienced when negotiating the first turn because of JUSTAQUICKSCHOONER breaking stride.

TENACITY RED – Became unbalanced and broke stride at the 1400 metres.  A warning was issued.

SAM THE MAN – When negotiating the turn out of the home straight on the final occasion hung out.  A warning was issued. 

HESONTARGET – Checked and broke when leaving the home straight on the final occasion when trailing SAM THE MAN who had hung out.

 

RACE 9 – TAB.COM.AU PACE – 1660 metres

NEVERTOOLATE – Post-race sample.

ANDREW SWAGGER – When negotiating the first turn raced roughly.  A warning was issued.

GET UP BETTY – When negotiating the first turn became unbalanced and broke stride.  A warning was issued.  Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.

TULHURST ELVIS – Pre-race blood.  Checked when negotiating the first turn because of GET UP BETTY breaking stride.

PET RANGER – Inconvenienced when negotiating the first turn because of GET UP BETTY breaking stride.
