RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1609 metres

DOUBLE MACH – Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride free of any external factors inside the 100 metres. Trainer/Driver Mr D Mackney was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

THREE PARTS GREY – Hampered and had to be shifted wider inside the 100 metres when attempting to avoid DOUBLE MACH.

UNIT FORTY ONE – Sustained a flat tyre passing the 1200 metres and was restrained out of the race. Subsequently C Sutherland, Driver of BELLRIVERGIRL, pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 168(1)(a), stating that approaching the 1200 metres, she directed BELLRIVERGIRL inwards whilst t failing to allow sufficient clearance to avoid contact with the sulky of UNIT FORTY ONE resulting in that runner sustaining a flat tyre. C Sutherland’s licence to drive in races was suspended for 7 days to commence midnight 26 March 2026 and expire 3 April 2026 on which day she may drive.

RACE 2 – VALE PETER SHEPHERDSON – NARRABRI HRC – 1609 metres

THUNDAMENTAL – pre-race blood sample.

DOUBLE LINES – Post-race swab sample.

TERROR FLYING – Had to be steadied for a short distance approaching the 1200 metres when the tempo eased.

 

RACE 3 – VALE DENIS HICKSON – 1609 metres

WHISKEY ROYALE – Post-race swab sample.

GALVARINO – When questioned in relation to the performance, Driver T Ison explained that whilst he was not disappointed in the gelding’s performance, he said that it was difficult to make ground from his rearward position inside the 500 metres when obliged to improve wide on the track. He said in his opinion the gelding ran to the finish evenly. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 4 – LONGYARD HOTEL TAMWORTH PACE – 1980 metres

HEZA NEEDY – Raced roughly throughout. Trainer/Driver Mr D Mackney said that the gelding would be spelled.

SWEET VALERIA – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examination.

GENERAL ROCKER – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

SUPERIOR ART – Following required satisfactory performance, connections were advised that the gelding is now eligible to take its place in the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 5 – RACING AND SPORT ENHANCED FORM PACE – 1609 metres

LACHIES IDEAL – Post-race swab sample.

ANTETOKOUNMPO- pre-race blood sample. When questioned in relation to the performance, Driver D Chapple explained the gelding was difficult to drive throughout, hung in constantly and despite his efforts could not improve. He said he had been advised by the stable representative they would experiment with gear during the gelding’s trackwork in an effort to rectify its tractability. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.

OTIS RISING – When questioned in relation to the performance, Trainer/Driver Mr T Ison expressed disappointment and said the gelding was unresponsive throughout, however he could offer no explanation for it. He said he would monitor OTIS RISING’S recovery in the ensuing days and if satisfactory, consideration would be given to nominating it to race at Narrabri 5 April 2026. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

 

RACE 6 – SIXT CAR & TRUCK RENTAL TAMWORTH PACE – 1980 metres

ELOUISA DALE NZ – Despite Trainer/Driver G Panella’s constant attempts inside the 600 metres, she was unable to release the deafeners.

ESCALERA NZ – post-race swab sample.

ADRENALINE RUSH – When questioned in relation to his driving inside the 500 metres Trainer/Driver A Varga explained, that during this stage the mare travelled well and improved quickly to a position behind ELOUISA DALE NZ, then had to be steadied momentarily approaching the home turn when ELOUISA DALE NZ shifted inwards. He said that thereafter he was extremely disadvantaged and experienced discomfort after debris from the racing surface lodged in his eyes and he was unable to drive with vigour due to impaired vision, and the mare went to the finish without being fully tested.

TOPSIES BLING – Hung in rounding the home turn and again when placed under pressure in the home straight.

IM LORD TOMMY – Trainer/Driver D Brown’s left foot slipped below the sulky rest momentarily passing the 600 metres when activating gear.

GROSESTAR - Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examination.

RAINBOW JET – pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 7 – THREAD EFFECTS – EMBROIDERY SERVICE PACE – 1609 metres

FAR OUT RINGO – Pre-race blood sample. Driver A Varga was fined $100 under Rule 170(1)(a), for allowing his right foot to drop below the sulky rest for a short distance shortly after the start.

AMILLION PROMISES – Post-race swab sample.

HE SAID SHE SAID - Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examination.

MAJOR MICKEY – became unbalanced inside the 100 metres when being shifted wider and was unbalanced for a short distance.

MY ROCK MOVES – Pulled hard during the early and middle stages.

 

RACE 8 – HAZELLS TAMWORTH – LOCAL TRAINERS DRAW PACE – 1609 metres.

HEZA DOOZIE – Sustained a gear malfunction during the score up and a false start was declared.

THREE RIVERS NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

JAYJAYBENNY – Drainer/Driver Mr D Chapple pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii), stating that rounding the turn after the start, he shifted in when insufficiently clear of MISTER CHEESE, which when being steadied was crowded onto HEZA DOOZIE and thereafter he continually directed JAYJAYBENNY inwards when insufficiently clear of HEZA DOOZIE, resulting in HEZA DOOZIE striking the sulky wheel of JAYJAYBENNY and being unbalanced for a short distance. D Chapple’s licence to drive in races was suspended for 10 days to commence midnight 26 March 2026 and expire 6 April 2026 on which day he may drive. Post-race swab sample.
