RACE 1 – OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS @ APG SALES HEAT ONE – 1609 metres

NASHVILLE BART – Pre-race sample.

BETTOR BE LUCKY – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having in excess of 200 race starts and being 12 years of age. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

VESPA STRIDE – Post-race sample.

 

RACE 2 – CORDINA FOOD CO HEAT TWO – 1609 metres

OUR ULTIMATE JANE – Trainer R Alchin was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to have gear recorded for the mare.

OUR ANGELS ENVY – Post-race sample.

EXPLOSIVE BRONSKI – Pre-race sample.

 

RACE 3 – TAB WE’RE ON HEAT THREE – 1609 metres

TILLY DEVINE – Pre-race sample. Galloped in the score up and was out of position at the start. The filly which was having its third race start will now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

GENERAL MISCONDUCT – Hung in leaving the 400m and contacted marker pegs.

WHAT FOR – Post-race sample.

HALLOWEEN – Held up for clear racing room and unable to be fully tested in the run to the finish.

 

RACE 4 – WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

ALPHA STRIDE – Pre-race sample. Post-race sample.

ALDEBARAN SUSANNE – Slow to leave the pre-race circle and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued against the mare’s barrier manners.

MISTER BLINDSIDE – (8^th position/ 17m/ $2.50 fav) Driver W Rixon explained that in the stables opinion the gelding was slightly disappointing and expected a more competitive effort from MISTER BLINDSIDE at the finish of the event. Mr Rixon added that after racing wide during the early stages and then unsuccessfully challenging for the lead his runner was able to get a favourable run following that albeit racing outside of the leader. Mr Rixon stated that when MISTER BLINDSIDE has been competitive the gelding has raced along the marker peg line and been able to finish the off in a more competitive manner. Mr Rixon advised that it may be when suitable tactics are to arise that MISTER BLINDSIDE is position along the peg line in an endeavour for the gelding to finish the race off more competitive.

 

RACE 5 – BE HAPPY MACH @ WINGATE FARM LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

SENSES – Post-race sample.

STELLAR STRIDE – Pre-race sample.

BETTINE – Inconvenienced at the 200m when BEACHBABE CROCKER was directed wider.

BEACHBABE CROCKER – Driver B McDonough was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for directing his drive wider when insufficiently clear of BETTINE at the 200m. Held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.

CHARLIES ACE NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

 

RACE 6 – PRYDES ENERGYPAK PACE – 1609 metres

WHITBYS DELIGHT NZ – Pre-race sample.

DAVOLAS LEGACY NZ – Checked between the 500m and 400m when trailing LILS NIGHTMARE NZ, when that runner commenced to give ground.

LILS NIGHTMARE NZ – Paced roughly before commencing to give ground approaching the 400m. Inconvenienced DAVOLAS LEGACY NZ which was trailing.

HAPPY TOO YA – Hung in after the start.

MAGNECTIC STORM – Over-raced during the middle stages.

MCBART – Post-race sample.

 

RACE 7 – HYLAND SPORTSWEAR PACE – 1609 metres

RIVERA LOU – Post-race sample.

CRUNCHIE DIVA – Pre-race sample.

 

RACE 8 – AGNES BANKS EQUINE VET PACE - 1609 metres

UNCLE TIGER – Pre-race sample.

TITIAN RAIDER – Driver Z Fitzpatrick momentarily dropped her right foot from the sulky footrest in the vicinity of the 300m.
