RACE 1 – TAPSCOTT SERVICE STATION AND CAMSTART PHARMACY PACE – 1760 metres

BELLRIVERGIRL – post-race swab sample.

SPARKLING SUE – When questioned in relation to the performance trainer/driver Mr T Ison explained, that the mare was unsuited by the slow tempo in the middle stages and from its rearward position was obliged to attempt to improve wide on the track. He said that after gaining a moderate response SPARKLING SUE ran to the finish evenly. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

UNCLE GREGORY – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations.

BARRYS BROTHER – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 2 – LUKE MCGRATH FARRIER SERVICE JOHN AND BERY DEAN PRELUDE - 1760 metres

WHAT AGAIN SHANNON – Held up in the home straight and unable to be fully tested.

FELICIDAD – Broke stride when being restrained passing the 1500 metres and galloped for some distance. Trainer/driver Mr J Donovan was advised that a stand down period of 14 days will now be applied and prior to racing again, the mare must perform tractably in two official qualifying trials. Held up in the home straight and unable to be tested.

YARRAMAN TILLY – pre-race blood sample.

CINNAMON – post-race swab sample.

TONYS DREAM – Broke stride free of any external factors shortly after the start and galloped. Connections were advised that the filly would now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Broke stride free of any external factors on two occasions during running. Connections were further advised that prior to racing again TONYS DREAM must perform tractably in an official qualifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

 

RACE 3 – WESTERN NAMIO VET SERVICES AND GORDON ROADWAYS SANTOS HEAT 1 – 2160 metres

OTIS RISING – Pre-race blood sample.

RAINBOW JET – post-race swab sample.

ANNIE CROCKER – Unable to be driven into position at the start and was slow away. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record.

ADRENALINE RUSH – Unable to be driven into position at the start and was slow away. Trainer/driver Mr A Varga was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record. Hampered and had to be shifted wider on the track entering the home straight on the first occasion when attempting to avoid IM BELIEBER.

IM BELIEBER – Following required satisfactory performance connections were advised that the gelding would now be eligible to take its place in the mobile barrier draw. Over raced throughout and when rounding the turn into the home straight on the first occasion broke stride and galloped for a short distance. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

 

RACE 4– C AND D ELECTRONICS AND MAX ORMAN TOYOTA PACE – 1760 metres

SEVEN RIPPIN ACES – Post-race swab sample.

COUNTRY MAJOR – When being driven forward rounding the home turn trainer/driver Mr T Ison accidently dropped his near side rein and whilst regathering it the gelding shifted out marginally before being able to be corrected and shifted back to its original line. Whilst this occurred JEREMY LOU attempted to improve between it and THUNDAMENTAL, which shifted out marginally, resulting in JEREMY LOU having to be checked, striking the sulky of COUNTRY MAJOR, blundering, then galloping. Subsequently trainer/driver T Ison was reprimanded under AR 163(1)(a).

ROCKNROLL RAMBO – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight, then when being shifted wider inside the 100 metres in an attempt to obtain clear running was hampered when racing behind JEREMY LOU which had blundered.

 

RACE 5 – WATSONS KITCHEN AND RICHARDS STEELYARD METALAND PACE – 1760 metres

SPOOKY ART – Trainer/driver J Donovan’s left foot dropped below the sulky rest momentarily passing the 400 metres, when activating gear.

YARRAMAN KAYLOU – Broke stride free of any external factors passing the 300 metres and galloped for some distance. Trainer/driver Mr J Sutton was advised that prior to racing again the mare must perform tractably in an official qualifying trial.

GOTONEBETTOR – post-race swab sample.

KATASTROPHEE – Driver T Brown was cautioned in relation to the manner that he applied the whip over the concluding stages.

TASMANS DELIGHT – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 6 – GCJ GLASS AND ALUMINIUM AND J & H WINDSCREENS SANTOS HEAT 2 – 2160 metres

XTRAVAGANT MAN – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations.

THE IRISH EAGLE – Driver A Varga was cautioned in relation to the way he applied the whip in the home straight.

ROCKET BOY – pre-race blood sample.

MY ROCK MOVES – Pulled hard during the early and middle stages.

GROSESTAR – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations. Trainer/driver Mr T Ison was cautioned in relation to the manner that he applied the whip over the concluding stages.

CUT GLASS NZ – Following required satisfactory performance connections were advised that the gelding would now be eligible to take its place in the mobile barrier draw. Hung out throughout. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 7 – DAISY WATER CARRIER PETER AND RAYMOND SHEPHERDSON MEMORIAL – 2160 metres

TOPSIES BLING – Pulled hard during the early and middle stages.

LAURIE DEE – pre-race blood sample.

FAR OUT RINGO – Broke stride and galloped during the score up, then galloped out when the start was effected. Connections were advised that the provision of last chance in the mobile draw would be placed on the gelding’s racing record. Had to be eased and lost a little ground rounding the turn after the winning post on the first occasion when racing behind ESCALERA NZ.

AMILLION PROMISES – Hampered for a short distance in the early stages of the score up.

ESCALERA NZ – Had to be steadied for a short distance rounding the turn after the winning post on the first occasion, when racing behind FAST TRACKER.

FAST TRACKER – Raced ungenerously in the early stages and hung out rounding the turn passing the winning post on the first occasion, then shifted out and locked wheels momentarily with LAST TIME JOE. Hung in for some distance inside the 200 metres.

ARNIES ARMY NZ – Post-race swab sample.

LAST TIME JOE – Fractious in the early stages of the score up and was reluctant to pace off the mark. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record. Had to be checked at the start and lost some ground when racing behind FAR OUT RINGO which had galloped.
